  1. I don't know whether this is true, but it's sure good for a chuckle!
  2. Don't worry. Your swelling has gone down and so liquids go down easy! Perfectly normal. Liquids won't stretch your pouch unless you're slamming them to the point of pain.
  3. I totally understand where you're coming from. It was the same for me, just as much by family as by schoolmates, "friends" or random others. Congratulations on your success and best wishes for your future and your new baby! You can be so proud to be that dad who can run and play with your kids!
  4. I enjoy their "mayo", although it's a bit sweet, more like Miracle Whip, which I don't care for. So, I mix 50/50 light mayo and the Walden farms with some cider vinegar and some spices and get a pretty nice dressing for chicken or tuna salad. Their caramel is great! Wonderful on apple slices! I agree about the peanut butter - YUK!
  5. Wow! You look fantastic. How bad is the healing?
  6. No divorce yet, but restraining order for sure! You just need more time. I don't think I could handle greens for 6 months or longer.
  7. This looks delish! But, please tell me that's not a salad plate! If it is, you're bringing a whole new meaning to micronutrients!
  8. Gas-X is your friend! Also, you can try taking probiotics to get more healthy bacteria in your digestive tract to help break down foods better.
  9. Thanks, he makes some very interesting points.
  10. Wow, you look amazing! All your hard work really shows. You're an inspiration!
  11. Frustr8, there is nothing hateful about trying to keep a thread on-topic. If you have a Weight-loss related funny to share, please do.
  12. This is serious stuff. He needs to get back in and see his surgeon soon. Is he able to get enough water?
  13. Good way to get your exercise! ? Hope your plateau doesn't last too long!
  14. Everything you learned before won't help you much after surgery, at least until you're quite a way out. In my opinion, you need to (at least) start with a bariatric dietician for a while after surgery. The amount of food that you consume is so restrictive that it will be difficult to get your macros in. Bariatric dieticians know lots of tricks to get the best bang-for-the-buck with the little amount of stomach that you'll have to work with. And, if you have any issues (which you can't predict ahead of time), you'll already have a resource ready to tap. What you said about a therapist sounds spot-on to me. Best of luck!
  15. Woo-hoo! Congrats! It feels so amazing, doesn't it?
  16. You could come to dinner! I made that plate for hubby and then cut off some of the meat for myself with a few veggies. It was a huge chop. You, GreenT, and I could have shared and still had leftovers!
  17. Tonight I made the whole dinner in the air fryer! Breaded pork chop, roasted potatoes and string beans. Still need to work on my veggie technique, but the pork chop was great ?
