Food Before and After Photos
What ratio do you use? I'd love to copy your success! Was it recommended by your doctor or did you figure it out?

Thanks! It sounds delicious! I'm still on very soft foods, so I'm always trying to add to my recipes. Thanks so much!

1/4 cup grated parmesan?

Was it worth it?
Honestly, even those of us with unforseen complications would still do it again in a heartbeat.

Yes, but you could show a pre-surgery serving and a serving that you would eat now.

Was it worth it?
We're all very different. For me, yes, it is absolutely worth it. I have been dieting since I was about 12. I'm 59 now. If I were ever going to be successful at maintaining weight loss, I would have known it by now. (I can lose weight fine, I just regain). It's already tough to get older, and hauling around 3 large sacks of dog food on my back was making everything worse. I was fortunate that I did not have co-morbidities, but it was just a matter of time, imho. I'm down 75 lbs. in 5 months. I've never lost more than 40 at any one attempt before. But, don't be fooled. It is hard. The surgery helps, but it takes real commitment from you to make it work.

I found a protein shake on Amazon that has 40 grams of protein in each carton
I wouldn't want to have to drink 6 more ounces (compared to Premier Protein) to get the other 10 g of protein. It would almost be easier to drink 2 Premier Proteins (22 oz) and then you get 60g of protein. But to each their own. Maybe they taste amazing.

Are they gold-plated or something?

2 weeks after surgery... Right side pain under ribs.
Wow, it's wise that you paid attention to your own body. I'm glad that you're fixed up now and can heal properly.

Airplane! Whee!
Awesome NSV!

How do you do 30/30 week 1?
My doctor did not have us start that until soft foods. Right now, they want you drinking pretty much all day. But follow what your doc advises.

Best Decision I’ve Made with My Health!
Oh, man! Your face has changed so much! That's awesome!

Stalled so early!
Are you getting all your fluids? That's really important, more important than the protein at this point.
-
Stalled so early!
The third-week stall is absolutely infamous. Just be patient. You're not doing anything wrong. It is discouraging, but totally normal.

Sour Cream Chicken Enchilada Soup
OK, I was craving bariatric-friendly Mexican food this week and couldn't find a recipe that grabbed me, so I made this one up. Obviously, you can vary the seasoning/spiciness to taste. This isn't too spicy because I can't handle that right now. Hope you enjoy it!
