Visit or read to a shut in, go to your local house of worship- I am certain they will sing Hallelujah not Hardly Knew you, if they do perhaps you should visit more often. Go to your local no-kill shelter,help walk the dogs, play with the kitty cats, you will be showing them, no matter what happened in their previous lives, there are nice people out there. Of course you just might find a new forever friend, Tomkitten won't let me go back to our local cat shelter, he's afraid I might stuff my pockets full Of kittens, so no "Pussy Pound" for me! There are a lot of places that need you and your help, there seldom enough for the outreach that needs done.

And of course, being Mamma you were elected to clean it up. I once observed a job that needed done, asked a co- worker to assist me. Her answer: if it bothers you that much, you go ahead and do it and I'll just watch from my seat. Grrr!

My favorite assessments which nobody cares much for: Bariatric Surgery is elective mutilation and the diets are structurelized starvation. Well truthfully they are but it was a mutilization I actively sought and reaping the benefits of. And the second also is true , but I did miserable on traditional diets and eating Willy-nilly both. I believe the structure was needed and the only thing starved out of my life were the quick fix, empty calorie things that did not benefit my dietary needs, had minimal vitamins, no roughage to keep my colon working and were so unsatisfying that I had to eat in another hour to 75 minutes. And that is the barbaric thing to me, that so many places produce this kind of food and it is so hard to find ones serving clean healthy foods, especially in my corner of America.

Avery's Mom , you still haven't shrunk as much as me , 5ft11 and 3/4 in my flaming youth, 5ft8in in my half- burned charcoal days, but still it does beat being dead and buried, and as I sink shorter I can look more people in their beady little eyes, now I don't have a forest of the top of people's heads. See it's all in how you look at things, but it still is a good old life!

I wonder if your rny was faulty, I always was told the reconnection was far enough " downstream" that such a thing was pretty impossible and DS were more likely to exhibit it. And Wikipedia does admit it is not a "fun thing" to have happen to you.

Oh I think I will, still finding pesky things to have evaluated , Since early February had a MRI of my chest to check on the thoracic aorta aneurysm I didn't even know I had, also found renal cyst on one of my 3 kidnets, got pneumonia, had my PICC line removed, there was fear it was spreading infection systemically, had fluid removed from right shoulder socket, now ortho wants. to remove the Plate and 12 screws. he put in to repair my broken Humerus bone 9 years ago, Told me to consider it, hasn't got better, still hurting upper arm and into right chest wall, not a moment's peace from oain, can be done outpatient/ ambulatory surgery. I'm ready--- when can it be scheduled? Then I had a severe neck ache, couldn't turn my head from side to side,, or put my chin on my chest( medical term- nuchal rigidity) after beaucoup testings, severe cervical arthritis, bad news I have a thyroid nodule of noticable size, had testing for that as well as a carotid Doppler because I am having transient double vision, be watching CNN and all of a sudden there are 2 Donald Trumps on screen , 1 is more than enough most days. Went to eye doctor, he told me to tell my medicial one instead. Why do I keep going? Don't know any better, and you guys would miss me if I weren't here! So far nothing has killed me yet!

But every day you will hurtless and start to feel better. Out of the swamp of misery sunlight will shine through. Has even forme and I have had so many cloudy days I might be living in a rainforest, things have a way of getting better, as the late Justin Wilson said on PBS" I Gar- en-tee!"

Hi from Central Ohio! Most hospitals and Bariatric Centers do have support groups, if they don't maybe you could help found one. I love 50 miles from my hospital, all theirs are in the evening when I cannot locate transportation, my firm belief is that I am the only RnY in all of Knox County. My local Community Hospital is talking of starting a Bariatrics program in Summer- Autumn 2020, a little late for me and besides they plan to start with lap-band and VSG, and later implement RNY if they find enough demand. But if it does get off the ground , by then I will be 2 years out, able to speak as a veteran, but Bariatric Pal serves the need for me, and one day when my Dr N was running late, I made some friends among the others also waiting, we check on each other from time to time. And keep out a lookout for me, I am frequent poster, at 73 I think I know a lot about life, and I would rather post than do housework. Family Joke: If the police come in here, they will state there is evidence of a struggle! But it still is tidy enough I haven't lost my 2 cats or my son in the not perfectly done!

When I had my tubal ligation way back in 1982 they put a scar in my lower navel, when I had my RnY on September 5th 2018 Dr Needleman put one in the top ,while healing and #2 was a tad swollen it was like they were kissing. I feel think it was a way of blessing, a visible sign , " you have gone through 2 abdominal surgeries, each changed you in a fundamental way, but all is well, use both for good in your life, and remember always you are worthwhile and many more love you than you ever may know! Yes so often we holler about what we think we need , we fail to see how blessed we are, we have come so far, and we Have Got to Become ME-CHEERLEADERS in our lives. Almost 7 months out, 130 pounds+ since my highest weight, 80 since surgery and proud to say 238.8 pounds, 5 and 3/4 pounds less than Tomkitten ,my son, I am vibrating with joy, he's a tad peeved at the accomplishment, used to hearing me get nagged by one and all medical personages to LOSE LOSE LOSE, wait till I go back for my yearly, they are gonna be SURPRISED! A couple dropped news would be good for the old Ego!???

February into March, had PICC removal after being hospitalized overnight and into the next day, i have found out I have a cyst on one of my 3 kidneys, although I do have a thoracic aorta aneurysm, it has remained stable over the last year, had fluid removed from my right shoulder joint, ortho says the plate and 12 screws that are 9 years old need removed, ambulatory short-stay surgery, wants to do it as soon as things calm down more, March 11th I had an Iron INFUSION done in Columbus, not bad on the surface but as my body tried to clear out the massive iron influx I had Black stool that went to black water, and kept me up over half the night.Then I developed a very scary stuff neck, while doing cat scans and other tests they could think of, and they did have fervent imaginations, it was discovered I have a nodule on my left thyroid, and it is of such a size, close to 2 cm, that it can't be ignored as a product of advancing age, so this Wednesday I had a thyroid work-up and scan, also carotid Doppler because I am having periods of double visions, unexpectedlyi am watching CNN and I see 2 Donald Trump on screen, and one if him is more than enough at times. Then I had a Reclast INFUSION yesterday noontime, PCP settled on that instead of pills and capsules, because of my still- impaired swallowing abilities. And time marches on, doesn't it? Now I am 30 pounds from Valerie, Dr Needleman's head Nurse Practioner, goal for me but I still would like to go for 175 and a size 15 junior in the end. Almost time for my 7 month- versity, wondered a few times if I would be alive to make it? I guess it is what it is, don't fight against the briars when I will be the one getting stuck!???

You know it's funny odd, Grady Cat, but I'm losing in my bat wings too as I lose the other weight, they are turning into baby batwibgs instead the flopper traffic stoppers they once were. This weight loss is surely unpredictable but I'm gonna hang around and see what happens next, how about you?
