January surgeries?!
A good end will gratify you after the discomfort of today. You just came throughout surgery, and it is called major for a reason, body is acting shook up. Remember it was happy before surgery, and it's mad you upset the status quo. And while it gets used to. the new reality it is not gonna be a happy camper. Each of us has a weak point it seems to attack, you at. Some of us vomit, some people can't stand up straight, some felt every stab wound, my entire stomach turned purple, not just around the port wounds, the entire flippin' stomach wall, near as my doctor and I could figure out , a small skin vein got knicked, when I got enough Lovenex in me. I hemmorhaged under the skin, between skin and fat layer, looked like I was carrying an aliens baby. But I got through it, and every day you will feel a little better, take a while for tenderness to go away, but it will, almost everything you feel now gets better. At 5 months if you don't know where to look my scars have faded into my stretch marks, and I swore at the begging I would have big wide red scars, I don't , I look at them and to me they are battle ribbons, awarded for a long fight, and worth it, but right after surgery wouldn't have believed it.

When did you really start to see results?
I'm asthmatic, believe youme, if coughing worked I never would gotten obese, needed surgery or slowly losing down to the point no one tried showing drive-in movies on my rump or I would not be large enough to have my,own zip code assigned. But every day I get smaller, about ready to go down another size, now if I was only wealthy enough be purchase a new wardrobe, but,i still frequent Hoodwill, Volunteers,of America, when spring finally comes maybe size 18/20, the smaller I get the bigger a choice at stores. Working at leaving Plus Sized behind me, and,i,know it is gonna happen, like the 60s hit "Its just a Matter of Time"??

How long did it take you to get your surgeries?
And we will be looking for an update from you when it does occur. Get everything in working order, you're entering the final preliminaries, the last month- 6 weeks go pretty fast. Start making a list, how will you be setting up things for your immediate post-surgery, do you have family members you need to make sure they are taken care off? How about any pets? Do you want your hair trimmed up? All these piddly things need care of, do you have a tote packed for the hospital, I must have packed and unpacked 6 times. I would hear on Bariatric Pal what others found useful. so I would add that, someone said I didn't use X item, and I would pull it out. And some things I still didn't use at all. Who do you want to call, who do you want to tell, and if you had some of my kinfolk, who would you not tell anything to even if they held a gun to your head? And please believe , the surgery is far easier than you thought it would be. If you have a good surgeon, that's half the battle right there!

Let me tell ya'll about this dream...
I constantly drempt they had canceled my surgery and it was for varied reasons. One that stocked in my mind was my surgeon had a migraine headache and asked if he could have an intern do my surgery? I guess I wasn't worthy of a surgical resident. Another was it was Autumn Commencement and he decided he'd rather attend it. FYI my actual surgery was smooth, uneventful and Dr Needleman did do it. I can't say enough nice things about him, tableside, operations or follow-up, he does not shirk anything! He could give department lessons to several others of my Medical Stable, including the one I go to see today, my PCP.

i am not eating to much protein a day
I use Genpro, yeah it's had some legal troubles but must have resolved because I got mine from the Bariatric Pal Store, Alex wouldn't carry something with any taint to it!

ALMOST AT THE FINISH LINE....FINALLY!!!!
And here I thought it was " Your Plan Doesn't Cover that!" I got a prescription for Ferrocite from my Bariatric surgeon's office, Silver Scripts my Medicare Part D insurer does not cover it. They said buy something over the counter, think they meant " Go away Lady, we got important insurance matters to think of" the over the counter iron I know of is Ferrous Sulfate, I am an RnY, I can't digest SO4 without stomach acid, should I enrich the local sewage system with unresolved and dissolved iron or should I have my Ferrous Fumerate which is what Ferrocite or Hemocyte is? Its only about $13, but it's late in the month and I don't have that much cash left. So do I wait a week until February 1st when I can afford it? Don't think I will fade away by then, but it is a pain to fight with them about a little bottle of pills.???

I started my journey FINALLY!
And I also am 5ft8 and was 319 on my surgery day September 5th 2018. Small world, isn't it? Now in 260s almost 5 months out.

Opinion?
And remember men lose faster than we do, that's a known fact. Its inbred in us not to drop a whole weight, we might be incubating a new generation, your body wants to make sure you're fit to nurture. Its just bad when your family is complete, you know you're obese, and you desperately are trying, but you fight an uphill battle.

Smells postop
Have you noticed though some things smell so very good, you say to yourself" I believe I'll try a small piece of that! So you do and it tastes like something even the dog would refuse and he has been to get into the refuse bin! I had made some snickerdoodels, first cookie I learned to make way back when I was a Brownie. Yeah I know people on liquid diet shouldn't eat cookies, but it was gonna be 1/8th of a small ?. I am human as well as a Bariatric Patient, and I needed a little reward, figured it wouldn't matter, I urp up all solids anyway. So I grasped the ? piece in my little hands and put it in my mouth. OMG all I could taste was Baking soda, no sweet and tasty sensation, just cinnamon-covered baking soda.. Yccch, spit it right out on the saucer, not going THERE again. And my most offensive and pervasive offender to Me, my? armpits, Oh I wash them, I have put baking soda there, tried multiple deodorants and antiperspirant, it's like rotting onions and garlic, maybe the vitamins or other post- surgery meds. IDK, Tomkitten hasn't complained but I just can't escape it, I almost would trade it for ketosis breath. THAT I might be able to gargle away!?

Kidney stone
And if you're financially challenged like me,an old colander/strainer You don't want to use for food and put a coffee filter in it I have a "hat" for catching urine, PCP gave me a stack because I had to catch stool after pancreatitis, you tend to have greasy ones post. White and you put it under seat of toidy. looks like half circle.

Just wanted to share some results
Isn't it odd , we can eat the same amount of calories, do the same amount of exercise, even the same amount of protein, one person loses 36 pounds, one 15 and the third just stalls. So we are all different, but each of us occupies a certain location in the scheme of things, But we interlock. like puzzle pieces on a giant game table. I often wonder how it will appear when this group all finishes. ????

❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤
Like your playlist, many of my faves on there too. I have pearls on tonight, 1 makes me feeling like a young girl 2. Frankie Valley said long ago in RAG DOLL, " such a pretty girl should be wearing pearls" Might have been ME he was singing about. And since I have heard much music in my life I am eclectic in my tastes . I especially like Styx " Show Me The Way" clear down to Joey and Rory's " You Ain't Right", Sherri Austin "He's All Yours". I guess I am mostly Soft Rock into Country, especially songs that tell a story. And when I feel ornery, Bomshels " Karma is a Female Dog" Miranda Lambert. speaks my seniments in her songs, She's a Texas cutie, but she takes no prisoners, does she? And I March around to Toby Keith or her.
