It got way more fun for me once I got close to goal. My closet is busting at the seams, so it's a blessing and a curse. ?

Yeah, I think it is anywhere with a significant Mexican population. In my old neighborhood the BEST tamales were sold by a women in the Target parking lot. I miss those tamales! I learned on Nextdoor that there is a Tamale Lady that covers a few nearby neighborhoods, but not mine ? ?

Oh, I've been invited to a few tamale making parties. Yeah, no way! The work that goes into making them vs. the cost for good homemade ones ... I'm buying them for sure! Traditional Mexican Xmas meal (Xmas Eve specifically)

Holiday season has arrived ... Pork Tamale MFP nutritionals seems to be way off for tamales. Far too few calories, fat & carbs in every listing it seems.

I usually don't. My bf served up the meatballs and protein pasta in the pic. He honestly knows better as well, I just don't think he was thinking (too distracted by his Eagles losing ? ?)

Things I am bringing for my out of town recovery
I will be in a similar situation, here is my list Mobility Supplies Renting a lift chair recliner along with a table to go over the arm. I figure I will basically live/sleep/work in this chair Wedge pillow if I do end up being able to sleep in the bed Toilet Riser Shower chair Medical Supplies Gauze pads and Maxi pads Constipation fighters, Smooth Move, Miralax, MOM, prunes Ribbon, safety pins and small scissors to be able to connect my drains to and hang around my neck Fill prescriptions beforehand Extra binders Supplements (on top of regular multi/calcium & probiotic) Bromelian, Amica Montana, Vitamins C, A & B Complex Thermometer Heating pad Ziplocks to make ice packs Clothing Zip front robes Button down dresses Sweats & loose leggings Button down shirts Clog style slippers Granny panties Zip front fleece jacket Slip on shoes General Protein Shakes & Bars Cup with a straw Gatorade Zero Crackers Instant soup Antibacterial soap Hand sanitizer Body wipes Washable cheap blankets (in case of leaking wounds ?) Laundry pods & dryer sheets Recognize this is complete overkill ... but I'd rather than be prepared than relatively immobile & without a car and need something.

I had an epiphany today when I was taking the pics above. The person in that mirror is pretty much exactly the person I aspired to be. It struck me that I am literally living my best life right now. And while things are never going to be perfect (see my arms in the pic above for example), things right now are d@mn good. I always knew that WLS would be a positive in my life. But I'm not sure how or why, but it finally feels like all the pieces have finally fallen into place for me. I'd like to thank all the participants on this thread. The support and positive feedback from and for everyone is AMAZING. It feels so rare to find such genuine encouragement now days. You all have played a role in me gaining confidence that I never even fully realized I was lacking. THANK YOU!
