Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
There are no hard and fast rules for IF, lots of different variations. Some plans consider low calories a fast, while others require no calories during the fasting time frame BUT ... 2 months post WLS is way way too soon IMO to start with IF. Focus on healing and getting your protein and fluids. The weight will come off without IF, promise. Save IF for when your capacity expands and your hunger comes back.

What kind of pasta are you eating?
It doesn't taste like traditional pasta, but it doesn't taste bad at all. Here are some examples of what I made with them. Meatball Ricotta Bake over Edamame Fettuccine Cold Sesame Salad with Black Soybean Pasta (served w seared ahi)

What kind of pasta are you eating?
A lot of protein pasta's don't actually have a lot of protein (lentil, chickpea, black bean, Barilla, etc). But the edamame or the soybean pasta I linked above have as much protein as chicken breast

What kind of pasta are you eating?
But there is no one size fits all approach. Having carbs, pasta, bread, rice isn't a "big no" for everyone. The restrictive approach worked, and still works for you. But some (like me) work better with moderation. For example, during my WL phase I would have a turkey sandwich, a half a slice of whole wheat bread is about 40 calories. I made stove top mac and cheese using ff milk and red fat cheese, the calories in the pasta was around 75. Those were satisfying to me, and gave me a break from protein dense meals that aren't my thing. Assuming someone doesn't have a issue with carbs being a slippery slope, what is the harm with having a varied diet, assuming they are meeting their calorie and protein goals?

Funny, I do the same thing! My mom asked for the pozole recipe I made last week. I sent her the link and then noted all the changes I made. She said "never mind, I'll just wait till you make it again" ?

Anyone else cooking for loved ones who may have lost income, or lack cooking skills, or just because? Dropped this meal off this evening Seared sesame crusted yellow tail loin, soba noodle salad & garlic broccoli Ignore the odd plating, I have a storage container shortage! (And ignore the dirty counter ?)

I definitely fall back on traditional comfort food during crisis-y times. I’m stocked up on regular rice vs cauliflower rice for example. I’ve also made a meal idea list that relies more on pantry & freezer staples than anything perishable. On my list are things like meatloaf, chili, chicken and dumplings etc.. When times are uncertain, I find home-y dishes comforting.

Yes, each day gets progressively more insane, with no end in sight right now. I'm fortunately work from home, and all work travel has been canceled for at least 6 weeks. So I'm in a good place to stay safe. Definitely feel for those who have to serve the public. Necessary but a huge self sacrifice.

Meal prep for the BF, non bariatric portions Peri Peri Chicken with Cauliflower Stuffing & Broccoli (The MFP nutritionals are wrong on the riced cauliflower stuffing, 1/2 the bag = 75 cals, not 1/4 cup) This meals feels very haphazard, as it consists of all the veggies I currently have in the house. I hope the grocery apocalypse eases in the next week. If not, my bf's meals are going to get, interesting.
