  1. OMG count me in too!!! We are so having a florida meeting!!! You can't count me out. I will even be without kids cause we are dropping them off with the inlaws this weekend!! So where are we meeting???
  2. So tell us true. Did you do a last supper? Was it the day before surgery? Did you have really bad gas pains? Or no problems whatsoever? Did the gas last for days? I am trying to figure out if there is a connection between the two. Its not like they giving you an enema before surgery. You may have some food waste still inside. And surgery to the gut shuts down the digestive system for a period of time. The walking stimulates it. The gas pains might be a result of "last supper" syndrome and I really want a last supper but I want less pain more. So dish. so to speak. What did you eat 24 hours before surgery? 48 hours before surgery? And what was your gas pain level?
  3. New thread idea. thanks guys!!! hehehe Thanks for the well wishes. Diane, I know I am in the best hands around. Andy that makes so much sense it saddens me LOL No last supper.
  4. HI! And welcome to LBT!! Congratz on your date! It is exciting to be this close isn't it? I am getting banded on the 10th. As for the pain after, some people deal with it really well. Some don't. It is all personal I think. Do you have anyone that can drive you home just in case? Or maybe your doctor can suggest a car service to come and pick you up.
  5. OMG my son loves first knight!! We own it, and everytime we watch it he sings "we will rock you" for about 4 days after. And he is 3. Try explaining to people in public why your 3 year old is singing Queen songs. LOL
  6. Ok, I did the walking around school with my shoes off thing. and sitting in the halls. hell we used to lay down in the middle of the hals and do homework and studying. never did the nose picking though. LOL I only do that in the privacy of my bathroom or car. HA! So many memories. The 4am work is because we are at the end of our fiscal year at the end of this month, and we have projects that have budgets running out at that time. We are trying to get all of the work done before the budget gets cut off. not easy. LOL But it means big paychecks. I have about another 16 hours to go. I might go take a smallish nap break though.
  7. We have a huge angry storm cell on its way. I have a ton of work and massive amounts of uploading to do. I am not looking forward to yet another power outage. I vaguely remember posting in another thread that I would not be around much in the next few days yet here I am...waiting for uploads to complete. bored off my butt. LOL
  8. I know, for our overseas friends it is not that late. And even our west coast members...it is only a bit after midnight. But I have to say I love it when it is this quiet. LOL Its like shopping at walmart at 4am. You feel like playing with all the toys in the kids dept and racing through the aisles on your shopping cart. Ok...so I haven't done that since college, but a girl can remember back and dream about those carefree days right? LOL Who's up for a trip to waffle house? HA!!
  9. Suzukimom I did miss your post! I am so sorry! Please do not think we are cliqueish by any means. It was an oversight on my part!! I am sorry you feel that we are not paying attention. I have been so frazzled lately. LOL I agree that it is so hard to move and workout with this awful stomach. They want to remove the apron, but because of my history with blood clots they feel it is unsafe. I am going to follow their rules and go with just doing the lapband. I am so sorry you have so much going on right now. Best to take one thing at a time. But do remember that you need to take time for yourself and work on your own problems as well. I know some people find this possible calloused, but in reality if we do not take care of ourselves who will? I know that is my situation. I will be adding you to my prayers and wish you the best with your difficulties. I hope that you are able to find a way to pay for the surgery and can see your way past these current events that have you down.
  10. Oh poodles I hope you feel better soon. I know after every surgery i have i ask myself why in the world I have been put in that situation. Time does heal all wounds, and thankfully it will be a distant memory soon. Hang in there, and take your drugs. LOL
  11. TRICIA!!! That house is amazing!!! And us floridians agree...that house here, with all of the property and the size and the style would EASILY be $750k here. What a beautiful place!!! I design kitchens and baths and I am in love with that kitchen! I love the cafe au lait color of the cabs and the lighting is great! You are truly blessed. I want to visit during the summer and sit on the porch during a storm!! OMG how peaceful!
  12. Sherri thankfully the doc will not be doing anything to that end. LOL Have you talked to your physician about it? You might want to post a question to Dr. C. here and see if he can think of anything these will disturb with the surgery. Other than just adding to your pain and discomfort.
  13. FIREMAN!!! She is adorable!!! Look at those cheeks! What a cutie! thanks for sharing them with us.
  14. We are thinking of taking the kids to see CARS as their first theatre movie. they are at the point where they can sit through a whole movie here at the house, so I am assuming this will work. LOL My son is obsessed with superman so we can't wait for that to come out. the lakehouse I have no desire to see because I also saw the movie with the letters in the desk drawer and it was boring. LOL I love keanu, but I am not a big fan of sandra. I really want to see over the hedge. Nanny mcfee is off our list cause my daughter thinks she is scary looking. She won't even go there LOL I missed xmen so I am waiting for that to come out on dvd. We have missed so many movies in the theatre because of the kids. We have a 100" tv screen at home though so watching movies at home is like being at the theatre. and the kids can make all the noise they want. LOL
  15. Nothing worse than going into a club and finding things glowing that you did not intend for people to notice. My teeth and eyes I can get over. But did you know that if you wear a white bra no matter what you wear over it...it will glow through? That's always a crowd pleaser. LOL I still think it is trippy that my cuticles glow under blacklight. And the little specs left from your laundry detergent that makes it look like you are really linty. That's always a good look. Like you are covered from head to toe in dandruff. nice!
  16. I just went out and bought some new pj's to wear around the house for the first few days. And also for the day I am out of surgery. I get to stay in the hospital then a few days at the guest house in Mexico. I also bought myself a brand new pair of flip flops. They are all I wear cause I am here in Florida, but I got a pair of burn out your eyes sunshine yellow to keep my spirits high. LOL I also bought a bunch of new panties. cheap ones. From walmart. 88 cents each. and cotton. I have found every single time I go into the hospital for ANYTHING my panties get something on them. (no it isn't loss of bladder control) I am just not taking any chances of ruining the nice panties I own anymore LOL I also bought new terry cloth slippersocks for comfort when walking around the hospital and guest house. SLIPPER SOCKS! MEDIUM! (quick...who knows what movie that is from? LOL)
  17. You go girl!! thinking about you a lot and I hope everything is going well!! Good luck, and I hope you enter banddom with no troubles!
  18. Hi there! Welcome to LBT!! I am being banded by Dr. Sanchez on the 10th of July. I have complete confidence in him, and have dealt with his staff a lot in the last month and a half. I have been researching the band over a year and a half and really trust my decision. Good luck on getting banded, and have fun in Mexico!!
  19. Oh by the way, since the "guess funny's apron weight" challenge is now defunct I am going to donate a gift to the winner of next month's challenge. Something from Mexico. Kat is so nice to offer something up for winning this month, and I couldn't let her be the only one to be so generous! I think it is such a FAB idea. So next month is my turn. I will provide a special something from Mexico, and a little special something from Victoria's secret. I know....No size 2 thongs. LOL It is just one of my favorite scent collections from them. I can't get enough of this stuff, and DH just can't keep his hands off of me when I wear it. So of course I wear it ALL THE TIME!! Good luck to all! Everyone has been working SO HARD this time around. I know the totals are going to be astounding!
  20. We are nearing the end of the challenge!! Have you all got your scorecards up to date?? I know I just had to update mine. I am going for the perfect scorecard. I think I might do it. If I can just get through the next couple of days. I have had to take splenda in my coffee a few times (I hate that stuff) just to calm the sweet cravings, but that was early on. The soup diet some of us were doing did a lot for my numbers. And I am still losing. Weeee! with my base metabolic rate, and my workouts and lifestyle (according to fit day) I am burning approx 4500 cals a day. With a diet ranging between 500 and 1000 cals a day intake, it is no wonder I am losing so fast! Did I mention I love fit day? hehehe. Good luck all!! This club makes it work! We are an awesome group, and I love how much weight we are losing together. I stare at our totals and group losers in awe just about everytime I am here!
  21. no that is cool. I can see it. I just didn't want to put it on, then go to the club later and glow like a party favor LOL I don't wear foundation so I need to be careful! LOL
  22. Why do I see myself in mexico, sitting at a table with chille relleno and chips and salsa and salad and margaritas, telling my husband I can't eat any of it cause telly will kick my ass when i get home. LOL
  23. Devana I have heard statistics like that as well before, but were assured it was due to complications of being weak from mal nutrition. Keep in mind, most studies involving weight loss surgery do not include many bandsters, and all the other weight loss surgeries cause mal nutrition as the catalyst for weight loss. When your body is mal nourished it can develop infections very easy, you can have severe heart issues, poor blood circulation, etc. Scary huh? I am so glad I am getting the band! LOL
  24. Congratz on your surgery!!! I can't wait to be there myself! Sorry there was a mess up with the coordinators, but it sounds like you have a great doctor. I hope you have fun in Monterrey!
