Pnut - congratz on the drunk goal! LOL I think I have been right there with you since the kids are out of the house. I looked at the two empty tequila bottles on the counter this morning and didn't feel so well. LOL And a loss of a pound after all that drinking is not an easy feat!! I love that I can give you a break. :grouphug: Telly - you are just kicking ass girl!!! You so totally rock! I love what a great job you have been doing, and I have to say that you are my number one inspiration!! Thank you.

Wow you guys! Lianna, mychevygirl, MollyMolly and Ali you have great losses this week! Good job! Lianna, I know you can lose those last 5 pounds. And I am so glad to see that you broke that plateau!! Desi, Heather, AndyLiz, and Kathi maintaining is alright. This was a food filled week. I am sure everyone had a crazy 4th, and in the summer time there are a lot more food opportunities to trip you up. I am glad to see some goals being set and determination in your faces. :grouphug:

Dr. Sanchez
I have also not been banded yet, but will be getting banded on monday. But I tried to find bad stories too, just to hear the worse to balance out the best. and I honestly couldn't find any. It was sort of frustrating. LOL

I don't want to get a big head!
"I mean look at the size of that thing! it has its own weather system! It looks like an orange on a toothpick!" I LOVE that movie. We just watched it the other night in fact. I don't think it has to do with how we perceive them, because I have met people that I never knew or saw before, and noticed the way their head and face were HUGE for their body, only to find out that they had GB, just like I had predicted.

Kathy you have no idea how much I appreciate pnut and the work she does on this board! Doing this has only deepened my respect for her, and I really hope that she is enjoying her time off from this. Cause it is a lot of work. There are troubles with the formatting on this board that can sometimes take me close to an hour to set right. Its insane. Thanks for the kind words as well. I have gotten PM's and posts from all of you and the well wishes and chin ups have really done a lot for me as I get closer to surgery. I am SO excited, and nervous. I worry about my kids. On top of that all my mother in law calls me today and tells me that my daughter has been throwing up every night since we left them there. At about 3am she wakes up, pukes, then feels great and goes back to sleep. I have no idea why she would be doing this. But lord only knows how much they are feeding her and what sorts of sugary things they are giving to her. So that has me worried. I know I am going to go to Mexico with a lot of worry on my mind over this unless I hear that she stops.

No naturalbeauty. I did not forget you. Unfortunately that post is acting weird. It is doing some formatting things that are strange, and not editing correctly. I just changed it again. I also have to work on some of the formatting so that it does not add in all those freaky line breaks and extra info. Bear with me here. Pnut has this worked down to an amazing science and I am still trying to figure out how this damned board works. HA!

Proud of my lil' Buckaroo
Heather you are AMAZING! Those are so cool, and I love the buckaroo. That will go so well with his bed set. What an awesome talent. I was thinking of picking up a crossstitch pattern for the plane ride and recovery time in Mexico. But then I thought, no...i will screw it up. LOL

I'm not. Esp because this is a person who doesn't have an unkind bone in her body. Usually when someone says something like that I wonder if they are being spiteful. But I know that she genuinely cares. She would say she saw it if she could. I know I have lost the weight, and that sometimes it just takes a while to show. And I know that with my big NSV last week that things are going right for me. It really is an amazing process. Very addictive. I am almost to the point of doing things right just to see what changes it brings across. It has become a challenge for me. And I am so excited to see what the band does for me.

Diane, thank you so much! I do like that pic, but I have been toying around with some image generators, and thought this av was cute. You know how it is...you hate staring at yourself all the time. At least I do. LOL It will come back, but the av I have right now kind of reflects the way I feel. quirky, imaginative, and a little bit off the point. LOL Ali, thank you. and thank you. and thank you. LOL Did i say thank you? I see the flatness happening, but sometime I wonder if anyone else can tell. When we saw my mother in law in North Carolina she told Rob how much weight he had lost, and that he looked fantastic. she looked at me and said "You really should be trying to lose before your surgery. It will only make it easier." Rob told her I had lost a lot since we saw her last and she said she couldn't tell. But I know I was wearing some really unflattering clothes (my comfy 5X shirt that is way too big on me now and my sweat pants) so maybe she just couldn't see it.

New diet i found
CHOO CHOO!! or should that be chew chew? LOL Conductor checking in after my little vacation!! I have read through and seen some people joing the soup train. Good luck to you all!! Meow, you are always in my prayers baby. Donna, congratz on the wieght loss!! I have kept off the 23 pounds I lost in the first two weeks, and am now on a liquid preop diet. I tell ya...the soup is something I have really been cravings lately. So we made a pot of it, and I drink the broth, and DH eats the soup with veggies and broth. He is down to 180, but it bulking up with muscle. So I know he is losing a lot of fat. Joe, just keep trying. we all slip. Just don't give up after a slip. Mcassoccpa, you are doing awesome!! Congratz on reaching Onederland! That is fantastic! And I have to say the name "funnydiddles" cracked me up. LOL Kathy, of course I don't mind you explaining. :Banane22: I don't know if the soup puts you into ketosis-mode or what, but I know that if you have a bowl of it before you eat anything else you are seriously full before eating much of your regular meal. And it is so full of vitamins and nutrients that we need in this weight loss journey. It is not the "empty calories" that most diets have, and it is all natural (for the most part) so your body is able to absorb those vits and nutrients easily. that makes me happy. Keep working out, drinks lots and lots of water, and keep a pot of soup going at all times. Even if it is just for a quick fill up to supplement your regular diet. Good luck to everyone!!!

Yeah...I have tattoos all over. Getting them all removed during this whole process too. LOL who ever said tattoos were forever? Yeah, I saw that the stats I grabbed were not updated, in all of my sleepy haste. So I will be updating them tomorrow morning. I was doing it now, but I think I am going to go crawl into bed, and do it when I have a fresh mind tomorrow. So everyone ignore my last message!! LOL
-
Gone for Good Club - July 2006
Ok. I have done the updates for those who have posted. Take a look at the first page, and if your stats are wrong, let me know. Then on Wednesday we will do the final weight in before I leave for Mexico. I leave Thursday evening, so if you do not get your weigh in by then it will not be updated till after I get back. Thanks all!!!

Gone for Good Club - July 2006
Hey all!! I am back home, and got to sleep all day today! Yay! I just got on, and made my progress pics for the challenge. I don't see much of a loss, except around the midsection. You be the judge. I am going to go and update the stats. Glad to see you all on your way over here. And to see some new faces. Thank you all for the congratz for winning the challenge. Hard work pays off. And i really feel good about myself. Now if I could only I could figure out how to put the award in my sig. LOL I can't wait to get Kat's gift for winning. It looks so cute!! Only 8 days till my surgery!!! I am starting to freak out, but that is normal for me. I will be picking up the gift for next month's challenge winner in Mexico. I will pick up something really nice. Promise. Hugs too all!! I hope everyone has a spectacular 4th of July!! Play safe, and enjoy the time you get off.

Pnut has done a fantastic job!! I could never imagine trying to replace her. But she was hurt by this, and I feel really bad. She stated that she was taking a break from the challenge, but not from handling the upkeep of the threads. I assumed, and stepped in as a kind gesture only. Just to give her a break. That is all. But I did so without asking if she wanted me to. That was a bonehead move on my part.
