Ohhh! Well I think that would work? (Of course, the chaffle is cheese and egg, but I'm thinking you can try using cashew cheese or some cheesetacular lactose free cheese!!!) Subs WILL work!

Yay!!! We can maybe start a Chaffle thread. bahahaha! So first, you should TOTES get the orange one too! And I was tempted to get the 3-in-1 version of the Dash Mini that does the waffles, pancakes and paninis. Cuz you know, you never know when you are gonna need to panini the hell outta your chaffle or pawffle! LOL. And cuz the orange is cute as crunch! I fell down the YouTube Chaffle rabbit hole yesterday and totally effed off work in the afternoon. The one where the guy adds 5g of psyllium to the egg and cheese? It sounded SUPER DUPER crunchtastic! But there are so many variations to try! Especially that you are able to eat higher carb! I think things like garbanzo bean flour for you or quinoa flour, or medium grind cornmeal will be amazeballs!!! I'm completely excited to receive ours today. I'm making the original version with psyllium husks as the first version for me, then having avocado toast and a soft boiled egg for dins tonight. I'm *drooling* in anticipation. Isn't that hilarious!? Mr. F. is gonna have a grilled pork and blue cheese with arugula chaffle treat for his dins.

Know I've said it before but I am BEYOND thrilled for you!!! Aren't you completely stoked? Can you believe it's already here? Gosh--I know it probably dragged for you, but it seemed like it flew by! Can't wait to hear about your surgeon's first howdy-do!! You'll get it done. You are that kind of get er done kinda gal!!! I'm SO relieved Mom is staying with you. It's just too important of an operation not to have an advocate in the waiting room and with you each step of the way!!! You will be able to handle the drains. Those aren't any BD. They aren't even that nasty, either. You develop a system! But the help in the early days just navigating to and from potty/bed/ambulating etc. is really important. Oh and TIP? You know the tradeshow lanyards? Get some huge ass safety pins and loop them through the end of the lanyard. Then slip your ends of your JP drains through the safety pin and close it. They will then be attached to the lanyard rather than your clothes. They work by suction rather than by gravity so they don't necessarily have to hang below the surgical sight. Much less chance of ripping them out or dislocating their position. And the best part is you can take the lanyard off over your head and lay it on a counter top in order to empty your drains en masse. Don't know if that system will work for your LBL? Cuz not sure about the length of the drain lines. But they def worked for all the breast reconstruction surgeries I had. I had 4 drains with the last one and it made it so easy peasy!!!- OOTD
Hahaha. It's the graphite grey, like the stealth bomber. BTW? Your dress TOTALLY rocks for your Really Big Meeting!!! Sorry not to say sooner. I'm super swamped with work and am only playing hooky today cuz of the doc thing. So now I can post like the ho I am. You look so fabulous and can't wait til you have the day of reckoning where you burn your spanx (or maybe send em to me...I'll buy em and pay for shipping. ) *snort*- Crab dip
Next time, try subbing 2% cottage cheese for your mayo (can't remember if you are lactose intolerant?) then add 1 tbsp Greek yogurt and a tiny bit of mayo and a little bit of dijon mustard (chopped up Claussen dill pickle spear and a couple of chopped green onions if allowed). It makes it so creamy, a better bang for your calorie and PROTEIN buck, and tastes awesome!- Vomiting for days - can't even keep down water
This is now in ER mode. Go to the ER. If you TRULY can't even hold fluids down...you need IV fluids at this point. Let them sort out testing and admit you if necessary. I'm betting you have a stricture. But the critical thing is that you NEED fluids. We need MINIMUM of 4oz of fluids per hour on average to replace vomitus and big D. ((hugs)) and go!- The Maintenance Thread
You had me at endless shrimp...*drool* hehe- OOTD
Ok, I know, I know, totally HUGE clothes. But no tengo deneiro (sp?) for new right now. Today was surgery day and I wanted super comfy and warm cuz the hospitals are always freezing. This is my official GOAL #3 day! I revised my goal #3 weight to be my original 130lbs. Cuz guess what? I DID it! I FINALLY made a for reals major end goal!!!! I can honestly say and give myself permission to be super proud of not only my progress and journey, but of seeing a weight loss goal through to desitination. It feels like...victory. Or napalm. Not quite sure. It's like, once I relaxed INTO the reality that I was in maintenance and wasn't trying to lose anymore, my body said, "Psych, bi*ch! JK. We're still gonna get ya to the original destination!" So I honestly don't see a lot of diff in this 130lb Goal #3 pic and the few previous ones. I am sure y'all will say its due to outfit selection and being too big.- The Maintenance Thread
Update! Lol ? After “giving up” on making Goal#3 of 130lbs and upping my goal 3 to be 135lbs, calling maintenance, my weight started dropping over the past 2 weeks. This morning I woke up to 130.4lbs! Ha! I’m now calling Official Goal #3 Original (130lbs)!!! Let the “for reals” maintenance begin! And no illness was involved this time! Two weeks ago I was at 139, up from 134 after a 4day shenanigans week!! Feels so great!!!- The Maintenance Thread
I’m proud of you! Way to know what you need for success!!- ?️ ?️ What's on the Menu? ?️ ?️
lemme know how you like it!- The Maintenance Thread
Absolutely! Me2! And that makes perfect sense!!- The Maintenance Thread
Why? You're totally gonna have the bod for a Cabo trip!- WISH ME LUCK!
Good luck! Can't wait to hear all about it!!!- The Maintenance Thread
I'm beyond excited for you!!! Go and live it up. Take lots o' pics--cuz you know, we need em. And worry about the maintenance when you return. Treat it as an experiment on how long it takes you to get back down and how large of a bounce you had eating ad libitum. Of all the carbolicious nonsense in the land of pasta and pizza and wine, oh my!!!- Food Before and After Photos
Totally understand! I used to be such a total cheesehead. But RBB Poops have kinda broken the spell. Now, it's kinda like playing Russian Roulette with the throne and train schedules...but I have a couple of ideas up my sleeves using Good Culture (cultured 2% cottage cheese to replace the shredded cheese, plus a spoon of different protein powders, plus nutritional yeast for savory to replace parmesan flavors. So we'll see. Being in maintenance is bringing out the dormant foodie on the weekends. Weekdays I'm still nose to the grindstone KISS, lean, mean, and green. But weekends are more loosey goosey, now with limits. LOL!- Food Before and After Photos
Ok, well that would do it!!! So it was cheesetacular? Have you tried the skim mozzarella one with almond flour and different flavor profiles by any chance?- Share how you satisfy sweet and salty cravings.
Agreed! Some of mine aren't that great for WLM either!- The Maintenance Thread
Awww! TY hon! I hope you get some rest!!! BTW, congrats on your super star maintenance and being back at your low end/goal/ideal weight of 130lbs. You encourage me with your actions and sage wisdom everyday!!!- Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
It's important to have enough FEAST days hun. The Feast is what fuels the fast. ((hugs))- I'm not hungry... I want food.
Head hunger sucks balls! There I said it. LOL. And I thought it was AWFUL in that post op phase where we were on liquids and soft foods!!! But please please please maximize this time and resist urges!! If you're craving pizza, try making broth with a tbsp of pizza sauce in it, season with basil and oregano, sprinkle with nutritional yeast (tastes like parmesan without it being cheese) and enjoy--guilt free!! Then when you are on soft foods, make The World According to Eggface's Ricotta Bake. It will take care of your pizza craving. Hang in there and remember drink LOTS of fluid!! Get your protein in any way you can.- Lactose Intolerance
I think whey protein isolate is ok with lactose intolerance. So you can make smoothies with Isopure Whey Isolate Protein, or use Jay Robb Egg White Protein, or soy protein (yuk on the taste). Use unsweetened cashew, almond, or coconut milk. Use coconut yogurt (Sprouts, and Whole Foods carries them...also almond yogurt). Use nutritional yeast to replace parmesan cheese. Think there are some decent cheeses out there that are either lactose free or are made with nut milks? Dunno tho. Sorry for the homeschool stress on top of what you are dealing with healing from surgery and PO life. ((hugs)) Try to treat yourself gently!! Rest when you can. Make great food choices!!! And walk and meditate/pray for stress relief. - My Plastic Surgery Thread
