  1. Looks fabulous! How long did it take and was it from frozen or thawed? Asking for a friend...

    Love!!! Super darling!
  3. Taco Tuesday! In Texas we take Taco Tuesdays seriously. Forget Wednesday night church, we go to the Tuesday Church of Tacos! Hehehe. Show me your Taco Tuesday offerings! What did you have? We used my Lo Lo Psylli Wraps to make super crunchy tostada shells for <20 cals each and <1g carb each. (YES! I AM YELLIN BOUT IT!) and had crispy beef tostadas. So dang good! The fixins may be THE best part!! Hola Chiquita Fresca! Muy delicioso! #barihealthylife #imbacnow #barifit #baristrong #bariatricfood #bariatricmeals #rny #vsg #ds #baribeeftacos #bariwellfed #bariatricsurgery I think it might have something to do with all the fresh fixins!!!
  4. Good Lort! Major yum!! I heart WF 1000 Island.
  5. Congrats and bigger congrats on making a decision to improve your quality of life and chances of living recurrence free (from stroke). You are doing the best thing you can do for your health! I second being careful about milk having lots of "sugars" in them. Most protein powders do not need additional calories or carbs from more protein. And it sounds as if you are getting plenty of protein. Also, too much protein can convert to energy or stored fat. Because you are sedentary you most likely have a lower TREE (total energy expenditure). Also, check your protein powder to make sure it doesn't have a lot of carbs or added sugars! Drink the lowest carb one you can. I agree you've gotten into the dreaded 3 week stall that hits anytime between 2-6 weeks. But 16lbs during that time frame is awesome! Average losses for mobil wls peeps is only 2-4lbs/week. So that's brilliant. Work your plan, follow your doc's progression to a T and you will be worlds different in 6 months! Cheers!
  6. The more I eat, the more often I eat, and the crappier I eat, the more I CAN eat and the more I WANT to eat. It's due to conditioning your brain for reward and engaging the hedonic pleasure center, but also because of blood sugar and insulin rollercoasters.
  7. I think it was eating and partying. Go back to your rules of the Forever Plan and observe them strictly. Cut back on carbs temporarily and get your water in. Give it 4 days and you should begin to feel it again...
  8. Hahaha! I pulled the wrong meal and copied it! Here's the real one! Calories/Protein/Fat/Carbs/Fiber/Sugar (these are the column orders).

  12. Yay!!! Congrats. Doesn't it feel fabulous?!! Work the plan, the plan works for you!!!
  13. In the beginning at your stage I was eating about every 2-3 hours. I was legit hungry during that time cuz meals were so tiny and were more slidery in nature. Volume is king. Follow your doc's and RD's plan for your volume at this stage in recovery. Don't exceed it even if you want to! I never had issues with my liquids cuz I could drink a lot from the beginning. I do still try to leave 45 minutes-1 hour post meal for greater lasting satiety. Now at 22months I do IF of 14:10, 16:8 and 18:6. So all my food is in a 6-8 hour window. I do supplement with part of a protein shake in morning coffees (cuz I love it, not cuz I need it), so that takes the protein goal burden off my back and I can eat more veggies. I eat 2-5 meals during this time frame. Sometimes 6! And on days without IF, I still eat the same # of meals.
