  1. Fantastic gift! Sounds like you’re going to have a lot of fun. I used to shoot Boudoir sessions and the best advice I can give is the more confident you feel in the setting, lingerie, shoes, hair, makeup etc. the more it translates to the photos As for wardrobe here are a few fuller coverage examples: https://www.victoriassecret.com/us/vs/sleepwear-and-lingerie-catalog/very-sexy-bombshell-add-2-cups-lace-teddy-1118392800?choice=54A2&genericId=11183928&recommendedProductType=trendingProducts https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08T69V3CB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2HN1GP5CK4FRHWZXW63D?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.savagex.com/shop/savage-not-sorry-lace-bodysuit-li2042934-0687-10726717?psrc=browse_lingerie https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XDHLNGF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_B48JKN950ERA6WXWHM5X?psc=1 https://us.laperla.com/balconette-bra-in-black-silk-satin-with-embroidered-tulle/ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MQQMXMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WS21PMBK2RJCVKKED9G7 https://www.macys.com/shop/product/dreamgirl-womens-sheer-halter-garter-dress-with-attached-garters-thigh-high-stockings?ID=11831316&CategoryID=256863&swatchColor=Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088BMNJS5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0DZGDERQ6X9WN2AE4HBV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
  2. Normal in terms of food types or amounts? Or do you mean your permanent post WLS diet phase?
  3. If food logging feels too hard, try keeping a visual food log (take photos) that show types, sizes and quantities of things you eat & drink. This maybe better than nothing especially if you need to consult your nutritionist. Good luck everyone ❤️

    I love this look !

Joy and Confidence! You wear it well ?
  6. If you still love your current wardrobe perhaps a solution is investing in tailoring or learn to alter them yourself.
  7. Congratulations in advance!
  8. I’m all for medical tourism for plastics. I used to be into Miami but lately it seems too disorganized for my tastes. Just 1.5 years ago when I went I had a fantastic experience but it seems like delays and cancellations from COVID has taxed the way they (EVERY practice that is not private) are handling things. However Colombia, Medellin specifically, and DR (to a lesser extent)is fantastic and highly affordable. In Medellin the health care is high quality. I say go with someone that can consistently provide the “look” you’re going for.

I still wear mostly black but today I added a pop of color (mainly because I’m cold)
  10. Congratulations in advance !
  11. Another protein shake! I bet Starbucks will start offering something like it soon ?
  12. Oh I still have a sweet tooth but there’s a fine line of just right vs too sweet and if I’m going to risk it all, it won’t be for a protein shake ? I used to use premier as a creamer in coffee (amazing) but I gave up everything coffee almost 2 years ago ?
  13. I can’t handle the sweetness of premier anymore ?
  14. Trying to fall in love with protein shakes again (It’s too hot to eat ?) It tasted like a Starbucks Frappuccino *not shown was 2 oz of water, 4 oz of almond milk & 4 oz of ice
  15. Congratulations first off! You’ve done a lot so far, losing 125lbs is amazing. The early weeks are challenging especially if you are impatient (like me) and just want to instantly “arrive” (like me). Getting into a good groove takes time and It truly is a journey. My only bit of advice is that hydration is way more important than eating early on, so if you get a strong routine for that you’ll be good. After surgery, a lot of us become hyper focused on everything weightloss related. It won’t always feel like an “obsession”. I think that’s a short term issue until everything becomes habit and congratulations again!
  16. According to the fact sheet and studies, Wegovy is designed to be taken indefinitely. If you discontinue use weight regain occurs. Surgery is probably more cost effective at this point but perhaps this is useful for someone who cannot have WLS or is trying to fight regain.
  17. Ozempic is not generally used for weightloss probably because the dose is too low to be effective. Did it control your diabetes prior to surgery?
  18. Right before my revision surgery, I questioned why I had to adhere so strictly to the preop diet (especially since I was at my goal weight) I was told that not only does the pre-op diet reduce the fat in the abdominal cavity making it easier to navigate during surgery, but it also reduces any fat remaining inside the liver. They took preventative measure for better surgical outcomes. The liver is one of the organs that must be lifted in order to reach the digestive track. If it has too much fat, it is not pliable and becomes prone to injuries like tears, scaring and even breaking. My surgeon asked me to imagine a marbled steak as opposed to a leaner steak. The fat filled areas of the steak will tear easier that the purely muscular areas. After that conversation I (begrudgingly) complied with the pre-op diet.
  19. Novo Nordisk’s newest injectable drug Semaglutide (Wegovy) is now approved as a treatment option for obesity. It was previously approved and marketed (at lower doses) as Ozempic in 2019 for diabetes. Novo Nordisk is the same company that offers Saxenda (liraglutide). The CDC states 42.4% of all adults in the U.S. suffer from obesity, defined as having a body mass index at or above 30. A 2019 study in the New England journal of medicine predicts that 1 in 2 adults will be obese by 2030. This could be a step forward in fighting obesity because of the modality. According to Dr. Anastassios G. Pittas, chief of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Tufts Medical Center, “Semaglutide is a paradigm shift from other obesity medications, because it targets the gut as opposed to the brain." (Sounds familiar?) As with all new treatments the hurdles to access includes: steep price tags, insurance approvals, imbalanced clinical trail demographics, medical gatekeepers and lack of long term outcomes. sources: https://www.novonordisk-us.com/products/chronic-weight-management.html https://www.nejm.org/doi/pdf/10.1056/NEJMsa1909301 https://www.fiercepharma.com/pharma/novo-nordisk-s-semaglutide-snags-hotly-anticipated-greenlight-obesity https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Health/newly-approved-drug-heralded-game-changer-growing-national/story%3fid=78065574 https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/novo-nordisk-semaglutide-gets-us-fda-approval-obesity-treatment-2021-06-04/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.detroitnews.com/amp/7549263002
  20. I’m always on the fence with artificial sweeteners. There’s no real way to escape them if you are on a low calorie diet. But I do understand the concerns especially since it’s becoming easier to consume larger amounts than recommended because they are unavoidable. I try to exclusively use Stevia or Erythritol. If I can’t find those then Sucralose in smaller amounts or nothing at all (which is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT) I have seen plenty of research pop up about this, here’s a few that may support Dr. Weiner’s reasoning (but I’m sure you could also find compelling evidence to the contrary): * 2014 journal in artificial sweeteners changing gut microbiome https://www.diabetes.org.br/publico/images/pdf/artificial-sweeteners-induce-glucose-intolerance-by-altering-the-gut-microbiota.pdf * 2013 journal positing artificial sweeteners interferes with glucose and energy homeostasis causing metabolic derangement https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3772345/?version=meter+at+null&module=meter-Links&pgtype=article&contentId=&mediaId=&referrer=&priority=true&action=click&contentCollection=meter-links-click * 2010 Metastudy of Artificial Sweeteners: and metabolic effects in youth which again points to the gastrointestinal changes as a mechanism of weight gain https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2951976/
  21. Thanks! I wish my portion looked as exciting but I’m just throwing everything in a bowl these days
