Weird drunk-ish reaction to food
This *might* be the famed food coma. Early post op, food tolerances can be unpredictable. Is this happening after everything you eat or only certain things? Also let your team know is it persists/becomes more frequent.

Revision from sleeve to bypass
My revision was for GERD not regain so I can’t speak to that, sorry. What I have heard is that the weight loss from VSG to RNY can be slower and lower but every body reacts differently. I initially lost about 10/12 lbs but I have bounced back into my pre surgery range (I was already at my goal) I am happy to say that the symptoms of GERD have not come back so I’m very happy about that.

One Year Out, Looking For Advice
You may have to wean yourself off the fun foods until you feel better about having them. If you are eating chips, try to take 1/4 the amount you are eating now and substitute the rest with vegetables that have the same umami (I never thought I would get to use that word ?) or similar texture. Sweets are a little bit harder to substitute but perhaps try fruit because if the natural sugar vs something artificial until you can wean off completely.

Wedding dress size?
You could try to estimate based on your goal weight https://www.kleinfeldbridal.com/2020/02/24/wedding-dress-sizes-101/ my best guess/estimation for this dress: Are you losing rapidly? 8 Are you losing slowly? 12 my best overall advice: 1. Ask the consultant/tailor for the exact measurements of the dress in every size from 18 to the smallest and ask them choose based on your goal weight. 2. Pick a size in the middle range size and ask how hard/easy it would be for the tailor to alter it up one size or down a few sizes. 3. Find out the exchange & refund policy. Keep close track of your progress throughout the year and change your dress plans accordingly. 4. Altering something to be smaller is *almost* always easier than sizing up 5. Congratulations in advance

Congratulations in advance! Tips: Don’t buy too much in advance and absolutely never compare you’re progress to anyone else.

Will the cold ever end?
I am always cold too. I need to have least one tightly fitted layer under clothing in fall/winter and tighter fitting clothes with a removable outer layer in spring/summer (I am sometimes cold even in the summer)

4 yr Surgiversary!
It has been 4yrs since my (initial) WLS. Within that time I made great new friends, found love, had a revision, lost a parent, witnessed a pandemic from one of it’s epicenters, had plastics, had new additions to my extended family, relocated, had one child graduate from high school and more. Almost none of these things were weight related but somehow everything else in my life seemed easier to focus on without worrying about weight. My weight has been stable since I hit goal a few years ago with only minor fluctuations. I’m proud to say I will always identify as a WLS patient. I thought I wouldn’t feel like one years out but I find I am consciously honoring this lifestyle in the majority of my choices. I’m grateful we have this forum and I’m especially grateful to everyone in the WLS community that make it a positive and supportive environment to thrive in.

Revision from sleeve to bypass
I’m a sleeve to bypass over 2 yrs out. My sugar tolerance is lower than with the sleeve so now I really look closely at the amount of sugar in items. Otherwise nothing else has change for me when it comes to tolerance.

Alright I gave in and made pumpkin pies (I do not really like pumpkin pie but I was outvoted). The crust is homemade (oil crust) and the filling is 100% canned pumpkin puree (not squash) with various fall spices. Also all baked goods I make I have no idea of the cals/macros… but this was made with real sugar because it’s not for me (I made myself a tiny pie)

You win! I don’t have the energy to make anything with more than one ingredient. I have cooking fatigue because I have a vegan in my household ??
