congrats on your surgery, wishing you a speedy recovery. not to brag but my surgery went very well. my pain was a 2 compared to other people no kind of gas of pain for that matter.i am two weeks post-op.i will be cheering for you.sil

thinnerkinner i just had my two week checkup the 26th of january. i lost 19lbs. my pre-op weight loss was 40lbs,at my last weigh in that was sept 3rd. he told me do not expect to lose anymore weight right now. ubtil i start my fills.that is 59lbs in all.i am so greatful. maybe we all stall at one point. an our bodies have to take time to readjust.

hi mr newlife55 why can,t you have coffee i had coffee on the liquid stage even before i had surgery. it is a clear liquid as long as it was decafinated coffee.i am two weeks post-op.

i had my surgery the 13th of january they had me drinking out of straws in the hospital.it is ok.

their is a tube that goes down your throat to keep you breathing. but you will be asleep. i was yuo only wake up with a scratchy throat. the doctor will tell you everything thats going to happen to you step by step.i had my surgery on the 13th i am two weeks post-op.

hi everyone this is day 9 post-op an i still don,t feel hungry i sip my protien water all day. to stay hydrated. my stomach growl but no pain.go to the doctor for my first two week visit.wishing everyone well.

hi workingmom i am experiencing the same exact thing i was banded on the 13th of january. stayed overnight the doctor put me on ensure 3 times a day. i am so suprised i am not hungry my appointment is on monday the 26th. thats my 2 weeks chekup then i go to soft foods.my stomach be growling don,thave the hunger pains thank goodness.hope to survive until monday. i think i am down from 285 to 260 but i am not gonna believe my scale i am gonna wait until i go to the doctor.good luck on your journey. sil

i am 7 days post-op. in the first few days you will feel this way. we just had surgery. things will get better.like on day 4. i bent down an a wave of dizzyness came over me an i thought (wow). it will get better you have to take it easy. i can get up an down the stairs ok. so we all have to take it gently.good luck everyone.

hello everyone had my lapband done on the 13th of january,on a tuesday. stayed overnight. me an my daughter,i am doing great it is day 7 post-op. i go see the doctor on monday the 26th.for some weired reason i am not hungry i don,t know how long it will last i have six more days before i see the doctor, my stomach is growling but no pain, my surgery went very well no kind of pain at all only when i woke up after groggy then i ask for pain meds.could,nt wait to get home other than that no complications, my surgery was at yale newhaven hospital, my doctor was Dr. kurt roberts.my scars are healing well no port pain at all i was able to sleep on my stomach for the first time last night. felt so good.drinkink my ensure 2-ounces three times a day, sipping water, inbetween meals, popcicles.it feels weired not to be hungry.just drop in to say hi to everyone. hope you are doing great. :thumbup::tounge_smile:hello everyone my surgery went very well,i arrive at the hospital at 4:30. had to be there at 6:30, me an my daughter, went to pre-admitting office got call back in the room got my iv put in, waited another30 minutes. took off everything.talk to the anathesiologist. he was explaining about the tube that goes down your throat. he says if it doesn,t go all the way down he might have to wake me up a little, to get it down,(yea right). i walk in the operating room looking at them making up the bed i had to lay on, i almost ran out of the room. i got on the bed they strap these massage pads on both legs that vibrates fell so good to keep your blood circulating.he put the oxygen mask on my face all the while making jokes,saying take deep breath, get all that good oxygen. i am thinking these people are not going to put me to sleep.next thing i knew i was waking up in recovery, moaning she ask did i need pain medication i moan yes,they call my daughter back for a few minutes to see me.hour later they took me to my room. i wasn,t in pain just a lot of discomfort, no chest pain.no port pain, i stayed overnight so did my daughter. i don,t know what it is about hospitals it not like home, could not wait to get home.i had round the clock care it felt so good to be taken care of.my dr had like 20 people on the staff all night that was in an iut of my room,7:00 that morning had to go for the dreded barium swallow, it,s just real bitter had to take three big gulp of that brown liquid, turn from side to side, then came the sweet thick syrup. same thing over again then 15 minutes later i was back in my room then the doctor camr by an told me the surgery went so smooth that i can go home what nice words we call a cab an an hour later we were home i went to bed the doctor said to start my ensure the following day my stomach is growling but i am not hungery my throat was sore for that day today isday four an i feel great took off my bandages yesterday with no problem layed in the bed most of yesterday i can climb the stairs ok if you have any questions leave me a message good luck everyone on your journey also:lol::thumbup:Sil..

hi i had to do the 6months dietian classes the first,consultation. i had with them they weighed me so that counted. the first month.i went from april16th-sept 3rd. that was it.

just a update on my friend we went to the hospital yesterday, she is still unresponsil she is breathing on a machine, the priest came in the whole family was there in the room, she is just laying there like she is asleep, when i went in the tears came, i uncontrolable,one minuet she was talking to me on the phone the next she was in the hospital, they operated on her the doctor said she had a huge blockage in the back of her head, her bloodpressure skyrocked, she didn,t believe in going to the doctor, her birthday was new years eve, she is in her fifties. so sad an young. but that is my girl,i miss her already.so i came home an cried some more.we took her a flower an an angel we got out of the gift shop.i haven,t had a best friend since high school. until i met her i moved into her neighborhood, an somhow we click.because i always keep to myself she would always come over an viceversa.so please help me pray for her,, i love her dearly.godbless her soul.her name is mollie pergues.love you all thanks for listening. sil
