  1. Amen to that!!
  2. I voted no. I don't think I have much of a problem in that area. I carry most of my weight in my butt and legs, but I guess it would make a difference for people who carry their weight in their stomach. But I will probably definitely need a boob lift.
  3. I had surgery on 5/22 and I wasn't supposed to start exercising until the second week. I am only supposed to walk for 10 minutes a day. Then next week I am supposed to do 20 minutes, then 30 the next. After that week, they said I can do as much as I want, and any kind of exercise. I love to swim, and I will be so glad to be able to do that again.
  4. Blund, I don't blaim you, I wouldn't ask either!!
  5. I don't think I would get implants, I have always had big boobs, but I will probably get a lift in a few years when I have lost all my weight. Mine have always been saggy though, even when I was thin.
  6. I am only 30, but my boobs have always been saggy. I am hoping they get better as I lose weight, but I am afraid they will get worse. I wear a DD now, and I would LOVE to go down to about a C.
  7. We waited a little over a week. My doctor said it would be fine as soon as I felt up to it.
  8. I didn't have to do a preop diet, so I didn't lose any before surgery. I had my surgery on 5/22 and I have lost 8 pounds in a little over a week. I just started exercising today, so I am hoping that helps.
  9. I agree that the fatigue from lack of calories is the worst. There's no way I could have gone back to work while I was still on clear liquids. I would have passed out on the floor from weakness!
  10. Hi, I had my surgery on 5/22. I had to do clear liquids for the first week. I am now on the second week and I can have full liquids. Next week I can have soft foods for 1 week and then the next week I can eat whatever I want. I am eating a lot of the same foods as you and I feel fine as long as I don't eat too fast. I think you should be ok. Congrats on the 19 pounds!!
  11. I had pain for about a week and I had to take the same pain meds. It does get better. You should be feeling better in a few days.
  12. I know what everyone means about seat belts. I can barely get mine to hook in my truck, and I am too embarrassed to buy an extender, so I suck it all in and I eventually get it to hook. I will be glad when I don't have to worry about it anymore!
  13. I feel the same way, Coco. And think of how much funner it will be shopping for clothes in NORMAL sizes!
  14. GonB, that same thing happened to me once on the same kind of ride. I was with my little brother and he wanted me to ride that ride with him. The (skinny) girl kept trying to fasten it, but unfortunately for me, it wouldn't click. So I had to tell my little brother I was too big to ride and I had to get off. It was SO embarrassing. I don't know who was more mortified, me or the girl trying to fasten it.
  15. Since you asked, I will tell you, but you may be sorry you asked!! LOL The nurse said that your legs are up in the air and your feet are in stirrups. The doctor stands between your legs to do the surgery. The table has you in a position like you are doing crunches. So you are cruched up with your feet in stirrups! So that is why there may be pain in your side because all your weight is pushed down to your abdomen from your stomach and your legs. This is how my surgeon does it anyway, others may be different.
  16. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's broken a toilet seat!
  17. I have the same pain. The nurse told me it could be from the position you are in when they do surgery. (It is kind of an embarrassing position).
  18. Um, I broke my toilet seat once.
  19. Hi! That's great that they are helping you. I was lucky because my surgeon's office handled most everything with the appeals. They seem to have it together and know the right words to use to get it approved. Is your surgeon's office helping at all? Yes, I live in TN, so we have seasons. It is getting very hot now. I always hated summer because I always felt too fat to wear shorts and tank tops! Maybe that will change soon. I lost 8 pounds the first week! Good luck to you.
  20. Thanks everyone. It has gotten a little better now that I can have full liquids and not just clear.
  21. Hi! I am doing great. The first few days were pretty rough, but I feel ok now. I am still on full liquids, but I can have soft food starting on Thursday. I go for my first fill on June 23. Have you appealed again? I heard from someone else on the boards that Cigna recently revised their coverage for surgery, I am not sure what they require now, but it might be worth taking a look at.
  22. You should call the doctor as soon as you can. You are probably too tight.
  23. I was denied twice by Cigna, and they finally approved me on the third try. So don't give up. You should call them and find out why you were denied. That can help you fix what you need when you appeal.
  24. I understand perfectly about the cry! I didn't think I would, but about 4 days after surgery (mine was May 22) I broke down! But I felt SOO much better the next day! And I also started carbs a day earlier. It has made a major difference.
  25. I agree that it is easier saying no to bad food. I was worried too about having to give up diet coke, but I haven't even wanted one at all. The way you look at food changes. My husband wasn't supportive AT ALL in the beginnig, but he eventually came around and he has been very supportive since I had surgery. I think husbands are just scared of change. Your husband is probably just afraid of how your lives will change. But it does change in a good way.
