  1. Yea, phentermine is ok for a few months, but any longer than that and it is not good for you. They told us at the nutrition class to throw away the diet pills and never use them again. That is part of the old way of thinking and it doesn't work.
  2. Please tell me I'm not the only one with this. Is there anyway to get rid of it? It is really gross.
  3. I took phentermine before being banded. It does feel the same to me as far as controlling hunger, but that's it. I hated phentermine. I couldn't sleep and I was very moody. Plus it stopped working after a few months. The doctor actually told me bandsters are not supposed to take it because it can cause your band to erode. So you need to be careful. I wouldn't want to take it anyway. That's one reason I got the band so I don't have to take diet pills anymore.
  4. You are right that it is a sin. But like you said, people are going to live the way they want no matter what.
  5. Yes they are. I will be glad to say goodbye to them!
  6. I don't think any of us really 'want' to go under the knife, but I didn't 'want' to be fat forever either.
  7. I saw a preview of one of her shows today and she is AGAIN talking about a NEW diet and exercise program she is going on. It's exhausting listening to her.
  8. That is the same thing I was thinking.
  9. Yes, that's how I feel.
  10. That sounds like what I have on my back. Part of my reward when I lose some more weight is to have it removed!
  11. I enjoy the compliments! Just smile and say thank you!
  12. My husband is so mean one minute and so nice the next. That's also what makes it hard for me to leave.
  13. I agree with that.
  14. How did everyone do over the holidays? I didn't lose, but I also didn't gain, so I am happy.
  15. I used to really like her, but I am really sick of her now. Everytime you turn on the tv she's there saying "I'm so embarrassed." Whatever. She should have retired a while back before she got so cocky and annoying.
  16. Yes, I am noticing it more, too and I have lost about as much as you. I was stopped at a red light the other day and this guy beside me actually rolled down his window and said I was pretty!
  17. Who said we watch her show? You don't have to watch her show to hear about her all the time. She is all over tv and magazines talking about how embarrassed she is. I don't watch her show anymore. Like I said, she was on ET last night.
  18. I will be thinking of you all. Please come back and let us know how it went!
  19. Well, she was on ET tonight going on and on again about how embarrassed she is. Give me a break.
  20. To everyone about to have surgery, you all will do great!! I know it is scary right now, but anything worth doing usually is, and this is SO worth it! The surgery and liquid phases will be over before you know it and you will love seeing your body change! Don't forget to let us know how you are doing!
  21. Yes, it is SO worth it. I had the same feelings, even as I was being wheeled into the OR, I was about to scream stop, I don't want to do it. I think everyone feels this way, and it is normal. Even right after the surgery, you may still feel that way. I did for about a week. I felt so horrible and I even had a crying spell. But my feelings quickly started to change when the scales moved and I started feeling better. You already know you can't keep it off without help, none of us could or we wouldn't be here. You know it is the best thing to do. Stay strong!
  22. Mine comes out in the shower too. I don't think it's going to get any better either. It looks like the doctors could help some way, but they don't seem to care.
  23. I see a big difference in your legs and butt. You probably just have some loose skin and that's why you can't tell. Definitely start taking you measurements. You will see a difference. I have been taking mine since surgery. I do bust, hips, waist, legs, and arms. Anytime I feel like I haven't lost anything, I just look at those numbers.
