I have had mine for 2 1/2 years my last fill June 13, 2010 was really tight and I have lost about 30 pounds in this time, tell your dr what you want. Say to him/her lets try and see what happpens. My Dr's are the top surgens in the world and they allow me to have a major say. This week am going in to have it opened just a bit going on a cruise and I want to be able to eat a little. Good Luck, don't get down on the lap band its the best, the by pass is way to dangerous. You really never hear about people dieing to LB but the BP is a whole differant story.

I was banded 2 1/2 years ago and I get so much mucus during the night it comes up my throat and out my nose its a real MESS. I too think this will stay with me for as long as my band is real tight. I am still losing weight.

I had mine done march 2008, I am still losing, very slowly but I am very happy about it, is anyone else having the same results. I have lost 110 pounds I need another 40. Does the band keep working after 3 years??

I got a fill this week on tuesday. Too much water, milk, shake all comes up. I did keep some stuff down. I don't dare have food yet not even mushy food, liquids hurt. has anyone else had this issue?? Is it normal after a tight fill??? How long should I wait before I see dr.?? viv

glad to hear you bare doing great....I wish i could say the same thing. I've been crying at night........no restriction what so ever. my next fill is may 7th i have a 14cc band and there is 5cc in there now NOT ENOUGH. I hope i get to where you are at viv

I feel the same way, but you keep losing don't you. Yesterday for dinner i had mashed patatoes, meatloaf, rice pudding, and a moca lattie light at star bucks, and a hand full of starbust. no resteiction either so feel just like you I want sooooooooo bad to have the chest pain when i eat too much. I had my frist fill 4/8 total of 5cc in a 14cc band.

April 11, 2008 As most overweight people i have been fat since about 5 or 6 years old. I've always been into sports so i had lots of muscles etc. I was made fun of but but i took it OK. I'm a real jokester. Anyway i did every diet took weight off put it back on and then added another 20 or so pounds. when i reached 354 i couldn't believe it. So I told myself lap band for me. July 10, 2007 attended the meeting at NYU the next week i started the journey. 6 months of Dr. visits, all the stuff NYU wanted and then on March 3, 2008 I was banded by Dr. Ren. I have lost a total of 30 pounds so far, I got my first fill 4/8/08 doesn't seem like its tight enough i need more, next fill 5/7/08 I will ask for more!!!! April 19th still the same holding at 30 or so pounds with no restriction, I can and do eat everything, i called the Dr. Ren's office last week they told me to eat meat and chicken.............I am sooo confused they tell us not to eat that stuff cause it will get stuck.what's up. Next fill may 7th we will see. I want to stop crying about this. Viv:sad:

Yes I told her. Dr. Ren was great with it. My partner of 15 years came with me for all my office visits, Dr. Ren spoke with her directly and helped her feel safe with everything. viv

I still feel no restrictions, so when you go ask Dr. Ren 1-did she do a herina repaier 2 the size of your LB 3 how many cc are there in now, and how many is she putting in if she says 3, try to go higher, total of 5 seems to me to be a waste of time in a 14cc band (if this is the size you have) -I only thought about this on my way home to poughkeepsie from NYU thanks viv

Hi I have a 14cc band Dr. Ren put in 2cc the day of surgery and on 4/8/08 she put in another 3cc's so far ok. Its Dr. Ren great? viv
