Official: FitBit Thread
I know this is a fitbit thread but I didn't like the fitbit at all. I thought the Garmin was a far better fitness tracker.

Compression Shirts
I have heard different things about the size of compression shirt that you should wear. I heard that you are supposed to wear your "normal" size shirt and I have heard that you should wear one that is a size smaller. Any advice?

Did you have WLS? The audacity of some.
It could be worse. They could ask if you are sick. That is what happens to me.

Researching...
I had Roux-En-Y (Bypass) surgery on 20 October 2016. As of today I have exceeded my surgeons weight loss goal. I am almost 100 pounds down. I am extremely happy with both my procedure and my surgeon. From what I was told, sleeves have a higher rate of regaining the weight than the pouches. Again, that is what I heard. My surgeon told me that the pouch was better for me to help with the diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol and sleep apnea. So far it has helped with everything but the sleep apnea (I went from obstructive to central apnea) and as an extra it has helped with my depression.

Anyone get new ink?
Has anyone gotten some new ink to celebrate and/or commemorate their WLS? Thinking of getting something but not sure what yet. Was thinking maybe a kangaroo (since I am a pouch). Please let me know if you did and if possible post a photo of it. Thanks.

Scared to look old
I think that I look older and more haggard but everyone else seems to think I look a lot younger and good. I have also noticed some of the people in my support group look older and haggard. There is a 48 year old woman who I thought was in her late 50s. I guess it has to do with how big you were before the surgery. Just my $.02.

Zero hair loss, no special anything.

Feeling discouraged
It gets better. Try to keep a positive attitude. 23 pounds is a lot in just 6 weeks. Give yourself some credit.

Monthly weigh-ins.....
Always happens to me. I have just decided it is all mind over matter. I don't mind at it don't matter. To be honest I trust my scale more than I do the one at the doctors office. I take care of my scale and don't have different people on it 20 to 30 times a day.

Help, I'm officially ready for surgery...
I hate to say it but I hope that you don't get to read those books. Hopefully after you have your surgery you will be too busy walking/exercising that you won't have the time.

I had never heard of such a thing until I read your post. Sounds like a pretty cool thing.
