I live in Michigan and even though it was a pretty easy winter for us I was still cold all winter. Both of my daughter's bought me smaller fleece sleep pants for Christmas (mediums which are a little big on me now) and I wear them every night. Now that the weather has been getting warmer my wife asked me if I had any sleep pants that were not fleece. I said sure I do but the fleece ones keep me warm. So last night I decided to dig out the non fleece sleep pants and wear a pair to bed. The first pair I took out were X-Large and putting them on made me feel like MC Hammer. All the others were X-Large or large and are way too big on me. I guess I need to go to the store and buy some new sleep pants (size small) for me to wear this summer. It is so funny that I keep finding clothes that are way too big for me now even after I thought I went through all my old clothes and donated them to charity. I may keep a pair of the X-Large to remind me of where I was. Not sure if I will or not.
  2. Holy Cow! I had never heard this before. Thank you for the heads up on this information.
  3. CONGRATULATIONS! Fingers crossed it will be fast and painless.
  4. Sorry to hear about this. I received a collection letter (from a collection company) stating that I owed money to the hospital. I was never billed by the hospital. I called the billing department and they looked up my account and somebody had coded it with a do not contact or send a bill so they referred it to the collection agency. They "fixed" the coding issue and recalled it from the collection agency. I have to have a security clearance for work and something being sent to a collection agency is a great way for me to lose the clearance. Good luck to you and I can't wait to hear what the manager has to say.
  5. You might have asked for a large. Once the weight loss starts it should be pretty rapid.
  6. CONGRATULATIONS! And welcome to the loser's bench.
  7. YAY! That is fantastic. Congratulations.
  8. So I ended up ordering this: https://smile.amazon.com/Hydration-Adjustable-Neoprene-BPA-free-Marathon/dp/B01DK00JDO/ref=sr_1_15?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1493215587&sr=1-15&keywords=hydration+belts It was inexpensive so if I don't like it I am not out that much.
  9. CONGRATULATIONS! That is awesome. Good luck to you.
  10. So am I. But to be fair, I have never been "full" since my RNY surgery.
  11. Thanks.
  12. Well it wouldn't be worth the money without the headband and arm cuffs.
  13. I don't see anywhere to put my cell phone. LOL
  14. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good hydration belt for running? There are so many of them on Amazon I am not really sure what to look for. Was looking at something like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Hydration-Adjustable-Neoprene-BPA-free-Marathon/dp/B01DK00JDO/ref=sr_1_15?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1493215587&sr=1-15&keywords=hydration+belts
  15. Yes, the pouch is the gastric bypass.
  16. So I have passed the goal weight that my surgeon has set for me. I was at my support group meeting last night and I asked one of the NUTS how do I go fro weight loss to maintenance and was told that my weight loss will slow down or stop when I am ready to switch to maintenance. WOW! I was thinking it was going to be more of an effort on my part (i.e. eating more to stop the weight loss). So I guess that I will just continue on with what I am doing and wait until my wife says that I am starting to look too skinny then start to up my calories. I have seen on here where people talk about a 10 pound bounce when they go from weight loss to maintenance. I guess I need to make sure I am at least 10 pounds under my surgeon's goal weight before I start to think about switching to maintenance.
  17. I would be asking for sure. Good luck to you and please let us know how it goes.
  18. No it will not. I had sleep apnea. I had to bring my CPAP to the hospital to use after surgery. Funny thing is, my sleep apnea has gone from obstructive to central. I can't win for losing. I have a sleep study scheduled for 4 May to see if I actually have central apnea or if my machine is misinterpreting the data.
  19. That might be too soon for softball. Be safe.
  20. Vicious or ignorant. I don't know which.
  21. Wait! You mean you didn't know that after WLS you couldn't eat 15 pizzas?????????
  22. I have thought about it but I don't think the insurance will even think about it until at least 2 years post op. I don't have an apron but the extra flabby skin is just nasty to me.
  23. Is this a sleeve thing or is it for any WLS?
  24. It will happen. Just continue on with what you are doing. Congrats on the weight loss.
