  1. Well, what a horrible sleep study it was. First, they woke me up to make me put on a chin strap (man was that uncomfortable) and then the nasal pillow was hurting my nose (I think it may have been on too tight). So I ended up have them get me a full face mask to use for the rest of the study. They had to wake me up a few times so that I would sleep on my back. So after not a lot of sleep, I went home (the low tire pressure light came on in my car on the way home, second time this week) so I drove straight to Belle Tire. It was going to take them an hour and a half to get to my car so I walked home in the rain (about a mile), changed into dry clothes and then Belle Tire called and said they found a hole in the tire that couldn't be patched/plugged. I have the tire/wheel warranty on my car so I told them that and that I would be there to pick it up and take it to the Ford Dealer. So Belle Tire charged me $20.00 to find a hole in my tire. I drove it to the dealer and 2 hours later and a new tire later I got to drive home. When I got home I packed up my car and drove 4 1/2 hours to the top of the mitten to spend the night. I spent the night, sat in a two hour long meeting (to speak for 5 minutes) and then drive back 4 1/2 hours home to go to a fundraiser. So now I am waiting to get the results from the sleep study from the VA hospital to see if I need an AutoPAP or if I just need to keep my CPAP.
  2. Tasmanian devil you say?????? HHHHMMMMMM
  3. I kinda like this. Thanks for the recommendation.
  4. Ok, I found another line drawing without the Joey.
  5. Redmaxx posted a topic in Fitness & Exercise
Started using the C25K app from Zennlabs. I did really good. It didn't seem to be too hard.
  6. I know my tailbone hurts when I sit too long. I have a coccyx cushion in my car. Lol
  7. Good luck. I hope everything is ok.
  8. Ask yourself this, would you want him to tell you if he was having this surgery?
  9. Yeah, I wouldn't screw around. I would go to the ER or maybe an urgent care.
  10. Thank you.
  11. Congratulations Berry!
  12. Not sure why. I had my original sleep study back in '04.
  13. Well tonight is my first post op sleep study. My sleep doctor has said that the surgery corrected my obstructive apnea but now the data shows that it is central sleep apnea. So tonights sleep study will a) see if it is indeed central sleep apnea see if I need to go from a CPAP to an Autopap machine and c) to see if I can go from a full face mask to a nasal pillow or something similar. Don't get me wrong, I am so happy that the surgery took care of the obstructive apnea, I just wish (and hope) that the machine is interpreting the sleep data wrong and that I don't have central apnea.
  14. I have lost about 100 pounds and my shoe size went down one. It is too funny.
  15. Thank you. I am going to check it out right now.
  16. Found this in a Google search: http://www.laparoscopic.md/sleeve/what-digestive-changes-occur-after-gastric-sleeve-surgery
  17. Never thought about tracking to make sure I am eating enough. What do you use? MFP?
  18. So the wife and I went to Kohl's last night and I went over to the clearance rack in the men's department. I found a nice jacket on clearance (originally $100.00, on clearance for $20.00) but all they had was large and small. I know the large is too big so I tried on the small. It fit perfectly. All I can say is WOW! I went from an x-Large in October to a small in May. If I get too much more smaller I might have to start shopping in the boys section. LOL
  19. Maybe we should add: Band- Someone who has a Lap Band Sleeve- Someone who has had a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (The Sleeve) Pouch- Someone who has had a Roux-En-Y (Gastric Bypass)
  20. I started walking right after my surgery with a goal of 8,000 steps a day. Just over 6 months later and I average 20,000 steps a day and lost almost 100 pounds since the surgery. No other exercises.
  21. I have a weight watchers scale that does the same thing. Measures weight, BMI, muscle mass, water weight, etc. Bought it at Target on clearance for under $20.00. Oh and it is blue tooth so it sends everything to my phone.
  22. You may want to talk to your surgeon and your nutritionist. However 50 pounds in 6 months isn't bad. Sounds like you are just at a stall.
  23. Thanks for posting that link.
  24. I have a Garmin Vivosmart HR and I love it. Much better than the fitbit.
