  1. Congrats! Keep it up. You are doing great. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I am 9 weeks out and I have had Halo Top ice cream. A 1/2 cup has 6-7 g of Protein. It's a bit more expensive but I love that I get protein from it. I also have HALO, depending on flavor, it averages about 280 calories for the full pint. I usually get about 4 servings per pint. (I'm 5 weeks out from surgery) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. if you don't mind, I'm going to copy your list and put it on my refrigerator too! Love it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Cravings for ice cream? Look for HALO! High Protein, low carbs and low calorie. Available at Wholefoods and has many flavors. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. how long did it take you?
  6. These are just some suggestions: I have 1% cottage cheese and mix it with a tablespoon of Polaners No Sugar Added Jelly, comes in a few flavors and only 10 calories. There are Polly-O cheese sticks that have no carbs but lots of Protein. There are Oikos Greek Yogurts that have no sugar added and 15 protein grams and come in salted caramel, coffee and chocolate flavor. The container is black and says triple 0. You can also have hummus, tuna salad made with lite mayo or if you are ok with eggs, you can make some egg salad as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. You are doing great!! Keep it up! You are down a lot of weight, why say it's slow! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Thank you for sharing your story. You look great, keep it up! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Oikos has a high Protein Greek yogurt that comes in regular form and in a drinkable form. Great flavors: salted caramel, coffee, chocolate, berries, banana pudding. Lots of choices, no sugar added, low carb too. Target carries them. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Most important are your liquids right now, protein will become easier every day. I suggest Isopure or Proti Diet is a protein flavored mix you can add to your Water that is flavored so you get both, your fluids and your protein. They have grape, blue rasberry, orange and many other flavors. Each box brings about 8 packets and you mix the syrup with 10 oz of water. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. i use those 4oz containers and freeze the meals in them. It's convenient and my freezer looks like I have a baby food factory since they are so small. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. This was a great thread. I too have found myself to be cold when I was always hot. Regarding eating what you want, I completely understand the predicament. It was easier sticking with mushy foods. I plan to keep carbs below 50, stay high with Proteins and not have food with added sugars. I've been in a week stall on the scale but feel loss in inches as the clothes and fit don't lie. Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions and advise. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I got them at GNC but Amazon also sells them. I personally did not like the green apple or the pineapple one. The grape, orange and fruit punch seem to me as the best flavors. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I have always preferred sweets, shoot that was one of the reasons I couldn't lose weight. Now, i crave salty spicy things. It's so weird. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. That's awesome. My specs are similar to yours but I'm only a month out and have lost about 23 lbs. any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. i buy Orgain from Wholefoods in chocolate and vanilla. I also buy the EAS whey Protein shakes which I get at cvs. Those have 30 grams for 180 calories and taste pretty good. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of PB2 which is powdered Peanut Butter and 85% less calories than regular peanut butter. Makes it enjoyable to drink. Last option is the Atkins shakes which come in so many flavors they are a great change of pace. Latte, caramel, Cookies n cream etc. I find that the ready made shakes are less grainy than the powder. I can't tolerate the grainy powder like consistency. Good luck, hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Wow! Congrats! You really look great. Thank you for posting. It confirms that it can be done. Any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. We like the "No Cow" bars. Don't like Quest. Atkins has some good tasting ones too but they aren't too high in Protein. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. My NUT told me to focus on meeting my Protein goal of 80 and not exceed 50 carb grams. Also wants me to avoid any products with added sugar. I find that I lose weight when I am having between 700 to 900 calories. If I have less, I don't lose weight. I was told the body goes on a saving mode when calories are too low. Not sure if this is true. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. I am 4 weeks out and have had halo. It's great as long as you follow the portion. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I got it the day I came home. It came early and lasted longer than usual. Hope it goes well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Your stats are just like mine. I'm 4 weeks out now and have lost 24 from the pre-op week of liquids. About 17 lbs since surgery. Was it like that for you? I've been losing like 2 lbs a week now even having all my Protein (80 to 100 daily) and trying to stay under 50 carbs. Is this a regular loss rate? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Hello everyone. I'm 4 weeks out but my doctor said no bread, crackers, rice or Pasta for six months. Plus these are carbs that we are trying to avoid. I think the tuna is a great option as well as egg salad, sometimes I have it on a slice of cheese. Just a thought. Good Luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
