  1. Wow so sorry your soooooooo nauseous and miserable. Keep your chin up and keep looking for the light and happiness at the end of the tunnel. Bless you Allie in SC
  2. Wow that is awesome news. Sounds like you are doing a great job. Thanks for sharing your experience with me. I realize that everyone's surgery and experience is different but knowing what others have been through really does help. When I had the sleeve I had absolutely no problems at all and some people have a really hard time. I have a very high tolerance for pain thankfully. Please keep me posted on your journey and good luck. I had a EGD WITH BRAVO test this past Tuesday and am hoping it is going to be enough for the insurances to get approval for the RNY revision surgery and that it won't take too long to be scheduled for the surgery. Thanks again, Allie
  3. WTG ,congratulations on your journey.
  4. Syltx3, I have tricare for life and Medicare I am hoping that they will approve it asap because I am absolutely miserable with my meds not being as effective as it should be. Thanks for posting this post gives me lots of hope. Allie in SC
  5. Traeleo,I totally agree I would love to know what to expect immediately after the surgery, how long was the hospital stay and how things went the first few weeks.
  6. Thanks for responding to my post and I will definitely appeal if I get turned down. I have my surgeon and my gastrointestinal doctor fighting for my revision surgery so hopefully it will be resolved quickly. I hate being on so many meds for 1 problem and the meds are not working properly now so I'm desperate to find a solution. Thanks again. Allie
  7. Wow wish I had been told that I could choose to get the RNY but my surgeon said sleeve was best for me. [emoji174]He knew that i already had severe reflux and I had no clue it could get worse. But from taking 2 pills a day to now 10 pills (4 different medications) a day just for the GERD. I am absolutely miserable and the meds are not working properly now. So I am going through the process of getting approved by the insurance company to get the revision done. How long did it take you to get approval for your surgery? My sleeve surgery approval only took 2 months as I have 2 insurance companies. I am now also on zofran for nausea every day mine has gotten so much worse than it was.
  8. Contact your doctor office that did your surgery. They probably got this alot. You're gonna gain beings that you are pregnant but you can get with the nutritionist and see what their advice is for pregnant women.
  9. Hey you ROCK. Did you get the sleeve or RYN?
  10. I think that if your surgeon says you can still have the RYN and isn't overly concerned about the bloodwork you should go with your original plan. Especially if you have GERD.Good luck and trust your doctor.
  11. Me too just got to get approval from the insurance company.
  12. I lost 87 lbs and went from size 24w to 12/14 ladies but never have reached my goal. Lots of other medical issues with other surgery so have not been able to exercise at all until recently. I just want to feel better. Allie in SC
  13. I am now in process of getting approved for the RYN due to the reflux disease that I have had for 30 years it's way worse than it was before the sleeve 2 plus years ago. Now taking 10 pills a day just for the reflux and the meds are not working properly at all. I'm either totally nauseous or vomiting all the time. Having lots of tests to get data for insurance company to backup the doctor saying it is necessary for me to do this. I did sleeve surgery going by the surgeon advice and wasn't told that I had the option. Anyway my sleeve surgery went fine but the hernia repair is now back as well. Can you tell me how long it took to get approval?? Good luck to you. Allie in SC
  14. Your experience was horrendous and that nurse should be fired.Shes supposed to show you support and not degrade you or your family. Please notify the hospital director and your surgeon as i am sure that he will want to make sure that never happens to one of his patients again.. My daughter is a nurse and would be mortified if I or anyone she was caring for were treated like you were. I had the sleeve and I am waiting for approval for the bigger full bypass surgery. I hope you and your family don't think every one is like that nasty woman. Good luck to you. Allie
  15. Hey, I had the sleeve 2016,no complications from the surgery or recovery process. But my Reflux disease has gotten much worse because of it.My gastrointestinal doctor says I should of had the complete bypass. So my bariatric surgeon now agrees as instead of taking 2 pills a day for reflux disease I am now taking 10 pills a day. Am currently waiting for approval from insurance company to get the big surgery. Hopefully you are doing great. Good luck with your journey. Allie
  16. Hey I had the sleeve 2016,now awaiting approval for full bypass surgery. Wondering if anyone has gone through both surgeries. Allie
