Agreed, meal planning/prep can get old. I do Paleo recipes and low carb on YouTube along with Keto. These keep it fun and interesting. And theworldaccordingtoeggface.com is a great website. Keep on keeping on.

    Hi All
Here's a brief update of my Sleeve to MGB progress. The before pic was taken in the hospital after my revision. I was 247 pounds then. The pic on the right was taken today. I weigh 187 pounds. I've lost 60 pounds since my surgery(02/10/17) and 66lbs since my pre-op diet. I think my weight loss is pretty good for a revision patient and I'm on track to finally reach my weight loss goal. I'm so happy that I got my sleeve revised!

Thank you so much! This made me feel so much better! I can eat a thousand too, actually 1200 is average for me. I track every single bite of food I take in MyFitnessPal! LOL I'm kind of OCD about tracking it LOL. I know most people won't track a bite or two that they take of something, but I do, and sometimes I wonder if that's why my calorie count is higher. I know all my friends I've asked if they count the few times a day they have a bite or two of something, and they always say they don't track little stuff like that, so I don't know LOL. I just want to get this last 40 off! I'm ok with the weight loss slowing down a lot because my skin is having time to catch up it seems. Thanks so much for your honesty. Sometimes people can make you feel awful and it discourages a lot of people from being honest and posting.

How much can you eat around 6 months post op? I feel at times that I can eat a lot more than I'm supposed to! I don't let myself because I'm scared to actually see how much. But for example: we were road tripping and I got a Wendy's Jr. Cheeseburger and was able to eat all but a bite. Is this completely out of the ordinary? I didn't at all feel over stuffed. It was the tiny kids cheeseburger that comes in their meal. Please don't post hateful stuff cause I ate a cheeseburger LOL. I eat very good 99% of the time. Thanks everyone. Also, I've lost 60 pounds so far, with about 40 more to go. I had surgery 9/12/16

I'm definitely hungry every 2-3 hours too! It's hard for me because I'm a stay at home mom and I'm cooking all day for my kids. It gets tough! I definitely have to have strength on a daily basis LOL. Thanks so much for replying!!!

That sounds about right, I was told at this point (I'm 5 months out) I'd be able to have about a cup of food. Sometimes it depends on what exactly it is but that burger probably is about a cup if that. Think of how the bun can squish!

I would say that 95% of my food intake is bariatric friendly , yes sometimes I have popcorn or a skinny latte .. But I also don't think weight loss is black and white .. I wasn't looking for an opinion necessarily on the quality of food that I'm eating but more on what people experienced 6 months out .. I know I'm not technically"stalled" but my weight loss compared to the beginning is slower than it was. I started at 260 and now I'm 185. I'm just nervous about being stuck at a certain weight when I have my goals set on a lower number and I'm sure other people have had the same thoughts .. I wanted to know what other people have experienced 6 months out

I surprise myself when I look in the mirror. When I try on a smaller size and it fits for the first time, I start to cry. I'm now in 10s comfortably, and can also get in some 8s, which I find shocking. I think I went from children's sizes to a 9/10 when I was in junior high. I don't ever remember being in an 8. I'm shrinking on the bottom more quickly than the top.
When I was heavy, I would push the weight around off my face to remind myself what I really look like. Now that I've lost so much weight, I can see and feel my jawline easily, and I feel bony. My collarbone sticks out (to me) and I feel bony on my upper chest (but I'm a 38G!). I've never had a nice round bottom - it was always wide, but flat. I've lost so much on my tush that I'm bony there, too. TMI, but moving a certain way on the toilet actually hurts my tush! I think I need to buy a cushioned toilet seat! I don't remember that being a problem when I was a teenager, but my butt actually hurts!!
I mention above that I would push my face around to remind myself what I look like. There are few people in my life that know me from before I got fat - my sister, Dad, and a few cousins. I've caught my sister looking at me, kind of shocked-like (but happy) - like she's rediscovering me. My dad has teared up looking at me, just thrilled that I had the surgery. It's probably the one thing in my adult life that he hasn't told me that I was wrong for doing. Everyone else is just amazed at how I look. Sometimes the comments don't bother me, especially from the people who know how important this was to me and that know that I had the surgery. But the people that don't know, and that I don't like, or that make a big deal about it (especially publicly), it really drives me nuts.
All my rings are too big, as are some of my watches and bracelets. Even some of my shoes are too big, which really surprised me because I've been the same shoe size since I was 12 (and I wasn't fat when I was 12). I'm still curling into myself, as I mentioned in another post a couple of months ago.
15 more pounds to go to the top of the weight range for my height. Not sure if I want to stop there. I'm not unhappy where I'm at now, but I know I need some more off.
I really can't get over how bony my ass has gotten. Ouch!

I'm three months post-surgery and I've been trying to avoid buying clothes because I've burned through three sizes so quickly. But my husband and I are traveling this month and I've been walking around NYC having to hitch my favorite--and only--jeans up. So I ducked into a store tonight, bought the next smallest size (12) and ... they are also too big on me.
    I haven't been in a 10 since high school.
I haven't updated my weight because I've been away from my home scale now for three weeks. Can someone pinch me and tell me this is real.

Hey everyone! I am 9 weeks post op and up until the last couple days, I've wondered if my sleeve was too big because I always feel hungry and I can eat a little more than a lot of people I know who have gotten VSG. Last night though, I noticed I got super full off a very small amount, and today the same thing. All of the sudden I'm feeling major fullness that I haven't been feeling up until the last couple days. I don't feel sick or anything, it just takes a lot less food and I'm crazy full. Also, I'm noticing I can feel the food go down into my stomach all the sudden too. I haven't felt that before. Is this weird, or something I should call my doc on?

And maybe i ask questions that are silly or that some may feel I should know the answer to already , but I hate sarcasm I rather people just don't answer the question if they going to be sarcastic about it. But again thank you for being so understandable

My doctor didn't put me on a preop diet of liquids only except for the day before surgery. Is this common? I thought everyone is on a liquid diet for two weeks before surgery usually? Mine is only the day before. Anybody else experienced this too?
