I'm with @@LipstickLady no clue what ur talking about and when it's posted on a public site for thoughts advice or questions that made it her and everyone else who visits this site they're business. So that aspect made no sense and nobody was Harassing or judging but giving her the truth of what needs to be done with the journey you can't sugar coat everything let me tell you if my professors in college sugar coated everything for me I would have never succeeded in getting my RN being tough on people sometimes opens there eyes to new prospectives in life and to what needs to be done for success. Wait, whuuuuuuut? Who's offering unsolicited advice? What on earth are you talking about? Every response I've seen is in direct reaction to a question posed. No one is one here just throwing our diet plans and opinions all willy nilly. No "agendas" are being "pushed".
And for the record. I didn't "cheat" pre or post op. No lie. That doesn't make me better than anyone. I was simply determined to be successful this time around. I eat sugar from time to time, never said I don't. I really have no idea who are what you are lashing out about.

Some people just don't realize you are given a plan for a reason they think bc they can tolerate well let's try it bodybjustbwent through a lot and as a nurse I'm just amazed that people don't sit back and think about everything they're stomach has just gone through. And honestly if my doctors or NUT did not go over the post op plans I would NOT have had my surgery through them my doctors office explained everything a few times and also told me no matter what questions I have to not hesitate in calling them!!! I would not have gone through with a plan that I was so unsure of the stages afterwards let alone wasn't given instructional information on. Did you have any type of nutrition classes? Or booklets given to you I was given packets several of them two books and a folder of papers all which explains step by step and not only was I given them but we went over them one on one page by page for 6 months!!! I'm just baffled by this. I would definitely not touch anything but liquids tho till you get in contact with someone and maybe look for a different surgeon for after care that can explain more if they didn't go over any of that info Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Lol thanks and yea we tried walking her but she just sits there she walks when she wants runs when she wants even if we leash her up to go outside which we haven't done in years she will lay there and not go to the bathroom just mopes lol I swear the bull part of the name is for bullheaded lolthats her favorite spot lol SPOILED!!!

Oh good! Let the name calling begin! Why am I not surprised? Hahahaha!!!!

I start my pre op diet tomorrow for two weeks. Any suggestions for when you come across the hard times. I will not cheat at all it's not worth it to me. I will follow what the drs say to a T. But just wondering anything that really helped any of you through it!!!??? I can have no food at all just liquids.

Why do people harp on what other's have, or get? Seriously, the world isn't about you or being fair to you. I am sure if she gets government assistance you wouldn't want to trade places with her! In a better world we would all have government insurance and insurance rip off companies couldn't screw any of us, but as long as the "me, mine" attitude is all we care about, instead of caring for the "least of our brothers" we will get screwed. Divide and concur and fear is what keeps the insurance CEO's and drug companies super rich.

The surgery is a choice the post op diet is a prescription to be taken as directed just like all other prescriptions. What happens if you are told to take two pain pills and u decide too take the whole bottle you can die right? So maybe think about that before doing things outside of ur ordered and prescribed diet!! It's not a joke and it's not to play around with. I highly suggest you talk to your NUT and maybe see a therapist to figure out coping techniques. Please don't do this. Gl with the rest of ur journey. And best wishes. Just remember mind over matter. It's mostly mental.

When you post a question on a PUBLIC FORUM, you are going to get the PUBLIC's OPINION. They may or may not read all the responses, they may decide to add their thoughts even if a like opinion has already been stated. You will like some responses, dislike others. My best advice? Take what you like, leave the rest. If the responses bother you, unfollow the thread. If certain people bother you, block them.
It's really quite simple. You can't control what other people post on the internet. It's seriously an exercise in futility.
