I was doing dishes in the kitchen and when my DH walked in he handed me two dozen red long stem roses with 6 stems of alstromerias. I have never in my life ever had long stem roses much less two dozen so when I commented that I was stunned with two dozen roses he said What? I only ordered one dozen, but thats great!! I sure hope the florest didnt run short on someone elses boquet!! We went to dinner at Cucina,Cucina and I had chicken parmesian and could only eat a little but the doggie bag was just a bonus! The roses are stunning, opening so well and not one of them has a droopy neck, you know how they get sometimes. I was proud of him for not bringing any choclate home, thats my true vice! Penny what a pleasant surprise!! and your DH gave you, he is a keeper for sure!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Sallyjo, This must be so hard, I will agree with you in prayer for her return to good health. I pray Father God that your great mercy and compassion would restore this dear one to health so that she would have a powerful testimony to share with so many others that have bondages to drugs. Give her your life and power to move into the purposes you designed her to fulfill, and create in her a new heart and make her a bold warrior for your kingdom. Please Lord, bless this mom with stregnth and peace as this time moves forward, we know you love them both for they are your children. In Jesus name we pray, Amen

Im so proud of you and a size six? WoW!! Sometimes we define ourselves by circumstances that surround our life and some of us define ourselves by the things we accomplish and other define themselves by the peoplel we associate with, others by their spirituality. There are other ways to define ourselves but the thing I believe is most imortant is Im defined by who I am in Christ Jesus, and that never changes even if everything else does. Bless you!!

Why do mens underwear cost so much less that ladies and Why do they make mens underwear with nice flat felled seams and on ladies they just use a serger, and they serge the elastic too and it makes these sharp edges that put huge dents in your skin!!! Why do we have to get the bras that cost fifty bucks for one that fits and men get three t'shirts in one pkg for fifteen bucks. I cant understand why we arent totally boycotting panties that arent made as nicely as mens, you know with softer, thicker cotton with those nice flat felled seams!!! :angry

I think you should call your Dr. because this is not a place to rule out possible heart problems, as shortness of breath is one of the signs of heart trouble. Please take care.

Id say liquids for a day, yes and the frequency of pbing is dangerous for the band so no you dont want to have that happen again, right? Your doing great, four months and this is your first pb? AWSome

I love kids because they take me outside of myself into a world of innocence and exploration. A new and fresh look on things. I know my kids have taught me more about myselfl than any other life experience, perhaps all of them combined. Laurend, I refer to Proverbs 31 when I see women working outside the home and even owning thier own businesses. This is not subserviant to any man, it even speaks to the husbands praise of his wife. If any church teaches that a womens place is only in the home, they to me are not truly Christian.

What I mean by transparent is that the personal, close to the bone feelings were allowed to be viewed. Feelings that could be easily hidden so one could remain invunerable. When a person is transparent they are hiding nothing from anyone. I believe that is very honorable, and integrese. (I so wish I had spellcheck)

I feel bad for the place your in, but I think giving her more money in the future is just enabling her. You are not responsible if she is suicidal, you can ask her to go to counseling, she can get help and should. I dont think you will ever see that money again. She needs and intervention but I dont know if they have one for gamblers. I was once in a place like that but as soon as I could not lend any more money, as I was broke, my friend just quit visiting me or calling me. I later realized that he borrowed money from everyone in my family, and each of us were totally unaware that he borrowed from each of us and none of us ever saw any of it again. Its so sad that the grip of addiction is so strong.

:cry Amen, Letha, I pray for her too, I sorrow and pray for the baby too. Now for the terrible suspicious things I cant stop thinking. I think the lawyer had a long range plan for Anna and $$$. He used to manage her contracts for the $$ angles. I think he pushed Anna to marry the 90 year old guy cuz he stuck around through that then took her through the courts to get the 450 million, He came between her and the photographer that I think really loved her and the baby, and the photographer tried to get custody of the baby but Anna died before that could get to court. He is the only one that has cried about loosing her. The lawyer got Annas son out of the way for the inheritance, and He knows that if Anna was not on American soil, he could hide the baby. He also created this goofy "comittment" ceromony to have custody of the baby which he is conveniently on the birth certificate, and then I also believe that Anna had post partum depression and severe depression from the death of her son. I think the lawyer killed Anna somehow. The truth will all come out in the end even if it is the hereafter. I know you probably are shocked that I could think such a terrible and wicked thing but I really do, It almost stands out like a scarlet letter to me. .:cry I hope that the DNA sorts this out and Im sure it will. O soo sad.

I am also buying much better cuts of meat and organic fish and chicken and they are not cheap but I figure that I eat so little, I want to really enjoy it!! I am spending a lot more time in the kitchen fixing lots of veggie and salads. I even make my own dressings so I dont get all those preservitaves. I dont know for sure but I believe that organic beef has none of these growth hormones that I think keep the weight on. I also learned to make my own yogurt so I dont get all that sugar and gelatin fillers. I do spend a lot more time in the kitchen and a lot less time at the table. And a lot more time at the grocery stores, reading lables lol.

Wish I had info for you, I just do car travel since being banded because I have not needed to fly yet, I love to travel. I keep a zipper bag with a mix of various nuts and corn bran cereal and lots of bottles of water. I know that getting too hungry is bad for me, I tend to take the first bite too quicklly and you know the knot that happens then. I think nuts are good, especially walnuts as they can really satisfy hunger and they have good omega oils. Be carefull though, too many can add the calories quickly!

Many of you responded to my question about coping skills in hardship and the thread moved to the loss of close loved ones. It seems that this is undoubtedly the greatest pain anyone can encounter. What I appreciate is the level of transparency you have given. What I love about my my faith and belief in Christ is that I have the gift of the reunion of my relationships in the resurrection. I have recieved this comfort and I also can leave this legacy to my children and grandchildren. I can understand that others belief that death is final and thats all there is to it so make the best in the here and now. I just cant understand how fear of the end does not seem to overwhelm you when confronted with it. I again thank you for your responses, I dont take them lightly.

I am sure glad that the decision as to weather or not the man in TOM s post is a Christian or not isnt dependant on us here, as the word says that God looks upon the heart and it is man that looks on the ourward appearances. However, the word also says that we shall know them by thier fruit, so to me this guy is iether skitzo, or he just had a veeerrrrryyyy recent conversion to a personal relationship with Jesus and needed more santification!!! As for me, I was raised a Christian, fell into disbelief for many reasons, then in hardship I returned to believing, but it was more a wanting to believe that I believed. Then I made a decision to believe even if I didnt totally understand things and then miracle upon mircale came forth, and I dont mean small stuff either. I will never be able to NOT believe. It is just too real.

I too have heard that some religeions "keep women in thier place" but that is not what Christ wanted. He actually did more to support women and took women out of the "property" classification and brought them into an honored place in society. If a religion supports this it fits the status of cult to my way of thinking, again, twisting scriptures.

So very worth it. I wish that we could give lap bands to everyone that is morbidly obese, it is a real life saver. This is the kindest, Most sane thing I have ever done for myself. Like Jack, Im off my cpap, minus 4 heart prescriptions, and I am so happy.

I think you are ok for now, as you have no pain, and gas can be a real bummer right after surgery. Go ahead and call your DR. tomorrow for your questions and let them instruct you for what your dealing with, we sometimes get the heaves from a spasm but be sure to let your Dr. know. BTW, percoset makes me terribly sick to my tummy, especially as we cant have any food to dilute the irritation on our tummy.

I dont need "fire insurance" anymore because I have assurance. I feel like we are trying to communicate in english something that only can be communicated in another language. I have a question for those who truly belive there is no God, or that dont believe in Jesus. What do you do when you experience trauma, or extream loss, heartache, or some terrible experience. What do you do with the pain, How do you heal, I honestly wonder about your ability to remain level headed and move through one day to the next. Have you ever come to the end of yourself? I run into great sorrow in my life, and I could not move forward without the hope I have given me by my faith. What do you do, or better yet how do you do it? Where does your stregnth come from? Im not being sarcastic, I really cant understand how you make it. Perhaps this is too personal a question, Ill understand if no one responds to me, its just that I have been a believer so long that all my close friends are fellow believers too. Our coping mechanism is the same.

I wish you could bounce his e-mail back without him knowing that you had opened it, marked undeliverable. I think that was really in your face, and obviously it buggs him that you dont embace his new relationship. Can you visit his wife, then when he visits next time you can let him know how wonderful your visit with her was? He needs manners, if not counseling.

Never ever heard this from my Dr, or the support meetings that I attend. Im with the question about how often would you lay down after eating anyway? Interesting thought though.
