  1. Im only 2 days out, havent lost anything except comfort!!! Of course Im on clear liquids, and I sat down with a pomagranate and took the time to suck the juice from each little seed.. I thinks its tedious (sp) but I feel like Im eating at a smorgasbord(sp again) I have so much GAS when does that let up? My Jr Hi boys think its great that mama Farts! I usually get all over thier cases when they burp or fluff, Humble pie doesnt taste very good.
  2. Superdaddy, I too am addicted to Jesus, How can one not be? His amazing love, I am so happy for you to be able to use you gifts for Him!! Ill bet you had more energy and stamina because of your sucessful weight loss. God Bless you and your Family, Stay strong in Christ!! If I dont meet you on earth, Ill meet you later!
  3. Vinesqueen, My calendar does not have a Tuesday 21st, It has a Wednesday 21st. I cant choose which one is correct! lol, let me know Im happy to meet you!
  4. How can words discribe the loss. Just remember that you were very kind to let him go, He lives on in your heart. Its always such joy to start loving a pet but I never thought about the ending part before it happened to me. Please take care of yourself, your baby would want you to( I believe!), and you will meet again someday. After all it wouldn't be heaven without Him!
  5. I was banded on 11/28 and haven't been out of the house yet as my port place is pretty sore and Im still in major healing mode. Dr Montgomery was my Dr. at nwws. Please post the new time you will meet, and let me know if I can crash the coffee clutch OK? I hope I will feel well enough to go. I havent discussed my surgery with very many friends, contemplating coming out of the closet as I hate to go through all the questions...oh well I am not ashamed at all this was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Thanks for your consideration!
  6. Dear Kellyhutch, I would pursue another Dr. I feel we have to be our own best advocate. Find a Dr. who is wise enough to know that staying at that BMI can intruduce you to many more problems. You have a lot of life ahead of you, Im fifty and got banded today. It took me several months to get to this point. The best advice I have is to ask you primary care Dr. for a weight loss program and start being weighed each month. Even if you dont loose wieght you will have a history documented for your insurance. Most of them require 6 mo or more. I have faith in you to succeed because you have the desire already. Do not give up pursuing good health. You are worth it!! You will need a history of weight loss attempts no matter which Dr. you find to help you so.... use the Dr you have now even if he doesnt suppord banding and take those records to the Dr that you find to support you! Thats what I would do, ultimately its all your choice. Best Wishes!
  7. I have been home for about6 hrs and I am so excited to have this done. It took me about 9 mo to finish all my prerequisit Dr. visits, and I feel almost giddy! I guess I see this as a new season for my life. My cardiologist, primary care, psych eval, sleep eval, and nutritional eval took some time for me as I am mom and the cardiac issues had slowed me a bit. I have been reading threads and have learned so much. Im happy to be on board, but I guess I feel like I just got on the Polar Express, not realy knowing what to expect next. Im sure there will be many more post that will help me along, and my DH is super, I am truly blessed. I am excited to be at this crossroad of life and I know I am happy to virtually meet all of you. Thanks for your support already! Victoriana
  8. Just a FYI, I had migrains with increasing frequency 4 yrs ago, Dentest said it was tmj, Chiropracter said I had my atlas out of allignment, My gynocologist said I had to much estrogen and gave me a lupron shot. I bagan having a reaction to Zomig and ended up in er getting a heart stent. After the stent, I have had not one migrain. Womens heart symptoms are different than men. The true revelation came when I found out that I had sleep apnea and didnt realize it. I found out that poor breathing durring sleep can also cause migrains. So please do what you can for your weight as it affects all of the above areas. You just may find it is tha best thing for your headachs.
  9. Hedwig, Feeling down is normal and it will pass. I am 50 and just getting started on being healthy so you are miles ahead of me, give yourself credit for that! Also, start saving if you cant get a loan, you just might get friends to be generous Santas! Keep your thoughts on what is unseen, soon you will get what you need. Its just the definition of soon that may change. ok?
