  1. Thanks all. From what I've read, it's best if you're on anti-virals w/in the first 72 hours and I think it was 81 hours. :glare: Last night wasn't the most fun; I kept waking up in some pain. It feels like I've either been burned or like I'm being stuck with pins/needles. I took some left over liquid hydrocodone from the surgery but I swear it's cough syrup b/c it did nothing for pain. The doc gave me a percocet prescription so I guess it's time to fill it! The doc told me that I'm not contagious but webmd said that I'm not contagious to those that have had chickenpox or the chickenpox vaccine. So I don't know whether to go to work Monday or not, sheesh. Plus one of my gf's said that her son had it at 2 and that the doc says it gets worse before it gets better. Joy.
  2. Thanks. Luckily I'm not in a huge amount of pain like a lot of people that suffer. I just feel kinda achy like I have the flu.
  3. Thanks so much and AMEN!!
  4. Can't speak for everyone, but you never have to apologize for getting something off your chest IMO!!! I never had children and would've loved to have so I have absolutely no sense of why any parent would crap out on their child. That's as foreign to me as being an alligator is! OK that is seriously the sweetest post ever, Ebony!!! (And no, I am not one to blow sunshine.) You need a hug from someone on that!!! Fanny - sounds like that bus ride was definitely the best money spent - tho he didn't need to steal it from y'all. Unbelievable. A gf had to take her ex to to court and then finally to jail. OMG he was such a loser. PJTP my news - I just found out that I have shingles. WTF!!! We'd decided at work that I had poison ivy so I was very shocked to find out that it was shingles!! I was prescribed a nasty tasting anti-viral (famciclovir) and silvadene cream. My shingles are on the back of my neck at the hairline that's maybe the size of 2 quarters and on the front of my neck that's maybe 3" long. I freaked when it started going up to my cheek so that's why I went to a doctor. Good fricken fun.
  5. They suck muchly; I sympathize!
  6. Because she's a lazy beotch that thinks she's entitled to have everyone wait on her every need? Yeah, that was disgusting. Thanks for the warning!
  7. Oh PJTP - I don't remember if I told y'all but this school year I had been reading to a 4th grader. Today was the year end celebration. We said good-bye to our kiddos and a magician entertained us. He wasn't the most sophisticated magician but the kids absolutely howled!!! They were SO cute!
  8. He was kidding by saying that or you really do put on seat warmers at 85? I'd be "sweating like a whore in church"!!!
  9. My house is set at 71, I think. If I never saw over 80 again, it would be too soon! (But I don't want to live in the winter wonderland with Tap to achieve that!)
  10. Oh crap, Susan.....that really sucks!! I have the air on and a separate fan too!
  11. And I love the a/c!!!!!
  12. There have no posts to this thread all day?!? Gasp!
  13. He's been busy this week working! Give the poor guy some slack!
  14. Ha!!! No piggy has gotten me!
  15. Congratulations, E!! That's awesome!!
  16. my workplace loaded up on purell a year or so ago. i'm pretty anti-purell until now. i'm not being a freak about it but i'm trying to be vigilant with the hand washing (plus during allergy season, it's never good to put a pollen-laden finger up to my eye!!!) This is why I always say that people are cattle/followers and SO easily led. Just like you can be in a movie theatre with 4 other people and someone will come and sit right in front of you. Or the idjut that is content to follow behind you on the interstate. OK you caught up to me; time for you to fly and be freeeeeeee. What else? Oh, today's gripe - RUBBERNECKERS!!!!! Took me twice what it should've to get home tonight b/c some folks had an accident that was pulled over to the shoulder. We stopped dead on a major interstate so folks could look at the blue lights. And plain, before you ask.....no, I'm not pms'ing!!!
  17. I agree; she's adorable! Both the dog and the daughter have lotsa hair! I'm jealous. Amen. They would've gotten a "go to hell" look for me that would've singed (sp) her eyebrows. Had that not worked, I would've said (loudly), "since you are in SUCH a big hurry, why don't you go in front of me instead of hitting my injured ankle/foot/leg?!?" OMG  When I broke both my legs in 1993, I was lucky enough to have had a great experience save one old woman who said, "wow, you're really a klutz." Hmm, thanks mamaw.
  18. Awesome; great to hear that you, at least, have a diagnosis! (Not awesome that you have an ulcer, of course!) Did you work today?
  19. WTG Slim!!!!!!! So exciting! :smile2: I'm just thrilled for you. CONGRATS!!!!!

Mood buttons you can't wear to work: I deleted the ones w/ the F and S words in them. If anyone is offended by the ones I did leave, I'll delete if you PM me or post on here.
  21. First of all, you have GOT to be kidding me that it's "morally reprehensible" with all the pedophiles, greedy bankers, et al in this country. Not telling everyone on God's green earth my business isn't even 9Mth on the list or "morally reprehensible" things. Secondly, why do you think other people even give a flying flip how anyone else lost weight? Ever since I turned 40 and had my first mammogram, I'm on a 6-month return cycle, not an annual like other women. Should I walk through my city with a sign on my chest that states, "Hi, I'm on a 6-month mammogram cycle."? Catherine-I have been major stressed at work and have worked more hours than I can count. Whew, this was a great post! Another great post! Judge not lest you be judged, OP.
  22. Aww, Glou, I'm such a guru...did you get it figured out? I know this is WAY too late, sorry! Me *hearts* Excel!! I worked til 9pm last night and drove home in the worst storm ever! I never get spooked driving but the lightning was so close and bright; it was crazy. The Atlanta airport got hit and lost power. Airplanes were diverted all ovah the south!!! I just watched a Tivo'd Oprah where they showed a product called Baconnaise that's vegetarian and kosher. The company also has flavored bacon salts, etc. I remember some folks drooling over all things bacon so I thought I'd share! Whoopee - Robin Thicke's on Oprah!
  23. Gah! I just can't imagine not shaving! I am very very smell-sensitive. Patchouli is THE MOST DISGUSTING SCENT EVER!!! Lord, child.....if you didn't have bad luck, you'd have no luck at all!!! I hope you get well very very soon. I'll be thinking about you! Kat - congrats being debt free!!! I paid off my car last Thanksgiving. I was SO freeing!!! Now I'm working on the HELOC!
  24. Wow, I am so sorry....what crap weasels. Why do you feel like it's stranger's business how someone loses weight? I have a feeling that you're an open book by nature. However, I wish I'd told fewer people because I have had a tough time with being too tight and then once I get unfilled, I eat too much. So I'm only down 20 pounds and it's NO ONE ELSE'S business about that except me. Please keep in mind that every person you come in contact with has a different life experiences and feels differently about their own privacy and their own bodies.
  25. What an interesting post! :rolleyes2: My right eye waters when pollen's around. Hate pollen! Ruining someone would be SO much fun in the short-term but alas, in the long-term karma would gitcha which would really suck. At least that's what I tell myself to stay "good"!!! (kidding; I really do believe in karma) Take care of you!
