  1. Crazy. PJTP isn't the same....
  2. OK I'm confused. Why in the world would we want to post onto a HUGE thread that has such goings on previously; esp when it can load very slowly b/c of its size? Why would Alex want anyone to be able to read all that?
  3. Now *that* took a strange and unexpected turn!!!
  4. I know, right?!? Dana and the other patrons should've called DFCS or whatever it's called in KC. (Division of Family and Children Services)
  5. I seriously hate iTunes! Just FYI! Bahahaha!!! KC=1, Rho=0 Oh noooooo! A gf just got 2 elementary aged DD's through it. Not fun. Ha! We all need to tattle on Glou more! OK seriously? I woulda paid big money to see that! Sigh, ditto. Oh hecks no!!! Neither Slim nor I are to blame for Texas' rain as y'all had the rain FIRST and send it eastward!!!!! So :yikes: OK KC?... While I :wink2: you before.....that is, by far, the rocking-est, most bitchin' story ever!!!!!!! I could've come up with a great dressing down after I'd gotten in my car or in the shower but to have done it on the spot is SO amazing!!!!!!! :frown: YOU ARE MY HERO!!! Long distance ^5 KC gets the "set of cojones" award for the week....nay I say 2009! Do I hear a second and/or an "amen"?!?
  6. Meth?!? Meth?!? THAT'S how you've lost over 100 lbs! The truth comes out!
  7. Kat - Ice cream is definitely my crack cocaine. Ugh!!!
  8. CONGRATS; that is so great!!! And to your question about wearing the same manufacturer - of course not!!! Glouc - great great news! I'm so glad you decided to email the big boss dude. What a phenomenal response from him; esp calling you at home! 18 miles - you rock!!! :blushing:
  9. Didn't watch Buffy either - but I love David Boreanaz on "Bones" so I may have to see if Buffy's on hulu! certainly not me! Isn't calling Plain a slut kind of contradictory? right? rude!!!
  10. I hope so! I love sleep!!! Um shouldn't they have told you in enough time to get a good airline deal? Duh! Will you be coming to Atlanta?!?
  11. I was telling my gf that the teachers wrote in cursive expecting the kids to be able to read it. She too was perplexed! Are you teaching your DS? Nite all :smile2:
  12. self-absorbed porn stars?? or maybe to make the space look better? I'm not surprised! I always open the RR door at work with my upper arm (by leaning into it). We've just transitioned into an *almost* touch-free RR; the soap is definitely less harsh than what we had before! That's great, Suzy!!! Oh Slim - I thought to ask one of my gf's if her son's school taught cursive and they did/do. I think he's in 4th grade now?
  13. I can't read this whole thread b/c I find PG to be the most out of touch poster on this website. I'm not even a minority and I personally am offended that you had to put "servant" in the thread title instead of "staffers" or "employees" or any other title one can come up with. PG - it isn't the 50's anymore. Wake up.
  14. BBK - unfortunately, um *most* of us were sober that night (looking at 2 guilty parties) so we have nothing to blame but our senses of humor!!! We really can just amuse ourselves!
  15. really weird and REALLY creepy. what does DH say? love the word "truculent"!! Years ago, a virus went around my company where you'd have vertigo for months. I'd bend over to turn off the shower and get dizzy. So TPG - I feel for ya! I heard that our housekeeping staff has begun wiping down the doorknobs. (I still only open the bathroom door with a paper towel tho.) One of my gf's in Memphis has had 2 of her 3 children come down with the piggy flu; it's been really bad with the high fever. She posted on FB that only 6 out of 22 children are left in one of her daughter's class. That's wild!
  16. In a similar vein to your being able to straighten someone out via email, I had to do an impromptu presentation on a conference call yesterday with numerous (5?) big whigs. So far I've gotten 4 "good job" compliments from those at the big whig level!!! Then I found out today that a frenemy in my dept was reporting on another call about things I track (b/c she's our VP's pet). But then I found out that she was reading directly from the presentation and that our highest big whig (Exec VP) kept having to interrupt to explain what she was talking about. Yep, had to grin hugely about that one!!!
  17. That was great!!! Kat - Such great news!!! I am so happy for you both! We should start calling you Florence (Nightingale)! All the folks in this country worrying about their jobs (including w/in our very own thread) and she doesn't roll her ass into work until 10:30-11:00am. Unbelievable! Every day you tell me about her and every day I get so annoyed! From suzyT: Lu, I still think you are one very lucky woman to have the husband you do. amen! i tell her oftentimes that she is spoiled! Beth, sorry yours is being such a pain..... ditto - can't say i wouldn't have kicked him to the curb by now I guess that's why I don't have one. (Probably only one reason, I'm sure the low self-esteem and weight issues had nothing to do with it, but I digress) I've always said that I have managed to do pretty well on my own and when I read your struggles it sometimes makes up for some of the loneliness. ditto, ditto, ditto - suzy...i just turned 43 so we really are in the same boat!
  18. Have you spoken to HR about the situation? To your boss? I definitely think someone needs a "heads up" that can handle the situation. If nothing else, he should be spoken to from the angle of "we're very worried about you". IMO Thankees!!!
  19. Thanks you guys!!!!! :tongue2:
  20. If Heart/TPG aren't dissin' it, I think I may have to. "de rigeur" - nice! It might also be the fashion du jour!! Just had to jump in, haha. Amen, halleluia, and ditto!!!!! I deserved to sleep to 10am today, right, Slim? :w00t: Luluc - not trying for triple points here??
  21. Ebony - I thought about you today at work. Have you ever heard of the singer, Syleena Johnson? I listen to pandora.com at work and heard her song "Guess What" today. The lyrics for the hook from pandora. com: Wanna play the boss, guess what You got to pay the cost, sho' 'nuff You wanna wear the pants, guess what You got to be a man, sho' 'nuff Hangin' out with your friends, guess what Don't watch what time you come in, sho' 'nuff Don't wanna pay the pills, guess what I know somebody who will, sho' 'nuff, listen There was just something about the song (that I've heard numerous times) made me want to sing it to your H in your defense! Of course, the lyrics don't translate terrible well and she sings much better than I type. Ha!
  22. Ugh, so sorry! I'm NOT medical but a former co-worker's doctor told him to stave off stys by taking a little shampoo from one's head and wash around one's eyes. I believe a sty is a clogged pore so the shampoo is supposed to help with that. FYI BAhahahaha! Don't you sometimes think that women are truly the ones with "balls"? Taps, you are much too smart to have just figured this out today!!! She's nutters!!! (luv u, Lu!) So did ya tell him to kiss your big ass? Just a thought! Hell tell him to kiss MY big ass!
  23. Aww, how sweet are you!?! It's so handy to have a medical professional in the thread! (Pls note: Plain does not count since he isn't "professional"!!!) 1. Tangents are what we do best! 2. Accounting, hmm? Was it serious enough that you could whistleblow? I just read that some whistleblowers just got millions in some lawsuit. (Yeah that's vague; I'm over 40 and have CRS...*shrugs*) CRS=can't remember sh!t Taps - how's your eye, hun? I really hope you went to the doctor! Yes you have two but you'd miss the one, I promise!
  24. My dad always traveled a lot before he retired. My mother always kiddingly said that's how they've stayed together all these years. He went from super platinum flyer to nothing. He had mom definitely had an adjustment period! (I thought she was going to kill him, lol.) re: kc's I AM PISSED! As I said on FB, I am so sorry about this. So far, I've been lucky with identity theft. People like that suck. x2 Again making my case that telecom companies suck!!! OMG so scary!!! I panicked over the weekend hearing that a European cruise had contracted some stomach flu. (Parents are on a European cruise.) Glad we both had good news!!! that's so great that you can remain calm b/c I would hate having to make that many decisions and having "strangers" in my house! gasp - you drink wine?!? i had no idea! :blushing:
  25. to Tap re: "EXCELLENT suggestions. I would add social skills - politeness, honor, responsibility. Less litigation, more courtesy as an approach to life. I knew someone had to come up with additions! These are great! I'm old school... if we have time in the year, can we add in manners (like which fork to use)? My living room ceiling was to be painted this weekend - it didn't happen. We are procrastinating on doing it (which is unlike me) because to do the ceiling, no matter what paint is used, a 1950's stucco ceiling causes paint spray, so that means everything must come off the walls, and all furniture covered. And there is very little wall space that isn't covered in art...lots of it. I keep trying to think of something you could put up as a shield and am blanking. Could you tape up plastic sheeting over the walls and pictures??
