  1. My cousin used to say that too until she got preggers. She soon realized that having a bigger bust was a pain!
  2. Y'all are cracking me up! This things you learn online... This week, I told 2 married, normal sized friends that I was looking to LB so that "I could get laid again before I die!!"
  3. I love this thread! 1) definitely being able to shop in "normal" sizes 2) not having to push the table toward my smaller friends in booths 3) not having to plot my path through restaurants to make sure I can squeeeeeeze through the path 4) not sweating and being out of breath when I only walk 2 blocks 5) not being mortified when I fly 6) being so cute and having my 3-year crush see me and me being able to tell him NO b/c I've wasted all this time on him!!! Why does he give mixed signals and give all this attention and then not ask me out? GRR That's all for now! :-)
  4. Suthernsurg - you tell your mom that she's just jealous! We all SO have to stop talking so negatively to ourselves. STOP STOP STOP! PS - How's M'ton? I lived in Memphis for years so "howdy"! :-)
  5. Cherlita - how rude of your sister! Tell her she can kiss MY big butt!!!
  6. But it's a dry heat, right? j/k

That's hysterical! I grew up in small southern towns and definitely like the "big city" better! (Well taking out the traffic aspect, of course.) Congrats on the surgery date! I just had my first visit with the surgeon Friday. I see that you're on Atkins - were you told to do Atkins or was that one option of many? j/w PS - you + all = y'all!!!
  8. from Ezma: Anyone else have any new hot flash incidents? OMG I cannot get hotter than I am now once I have surgery. Noooooo, please God, no! And don't be busting on Pop-Tarts - they rule!
  9. - tiny symphony seats - hot ALL the time - depression and bored eating - double chin meeting the boobs - they shouldn't be such 'close' friends!
  10. I totally agree about the badge!!! I switched to a clip so that it would attach to my pocket! And lord knows I can't look down to see if it's attaching so I have to feel around with just my right hand to make sure it attached. I'm also right there with you about the under hair sweat. I would NEVER cut my hair short! re: touching something to hold yourself up - do you ever feel a pinch in your back while you're standing for a while and realize that one leg is going numb? j/w There's one I haven't seen yet - plotting your path through tight restaurant tables. Having to squeeze through is mortifying! The worst to me is the airplane seats tho - soooo embarrassing. My brother is in Australia right now but I knew there was no way I could make a 14 hour flight in those horrid seats! Oh, and having to move the table in a booth - annoying. We will get there!!!
  11. CHILI!?! Didn't that hurt going down? I'm not banded yet so I obviously have no first-hand experience!
  12. Well I certainly can't speak to PA men but they can't all be bad! I've had a thing for a co-worker for years and he's acted interested but never did anything about it. Of course, once I get banded and start losing weight, he'll prob come around but it'll be too late!!! <insert evil laugh> I didn't start gaining real weight until I started on anti-depressants. I wish I'd never started them!!! Grr
  13. AThinnerDenise - I'm having an aha moment here. I managed my weight fairly well until I got on anti-depressants. OMG. I knew that I had gained 40 lbs on Paxil; it was awful. I took Zoloft for years and am now on Effexor. I thought my sugar cravings were just learned; I had no idea they could be tied to anti-depressants. Not that they're the whole reason I'm obese but still. Now I wish I'd never gotten on them! DANG

Oh and one more thing - it's y'all and not ya'll. I'm so proud that everyone spelled it correctly!!! :-)

kathystrick - I knew you were southern when you said you got "ill." I moved to Atlanta from Memphis and no one down here has heard "ill." The rest of Y'ALL are cracking me up about sleeping! I hover b/w thinking the boogeyman will get my foot and "I'm hot and have to breathe!" I start out on my left side but if I can't get to sleep, I go to the tummy. I have an idea that I might be a pillow flipper tho I've never put it into words! My mom irons her pillow cases b/c she likes the way they feel against her face! I prob would too but am too lazy!
  16. Y'all are cracking me up!!! I had never thought of Rose being preggie. I hope this isn't a given but y'all's supposition! I think I read in some mag that Callie has lost weight. I think she's so pretty (tho sometime her hair seems a little too "shoe polish" black)! I was pretty shocked when she and Hahn did the liplock! I'm sure Yang had to deal with someone treating her crappy when she got so many advantages with Burke plus she's learned to teach younger Grey.
  17. Love the idea of the song but feel like he um, might not be sexually attracted to any women!!!
  18. Ready2 - girl, you are so much the better person than I. Good job!
  19. Amen Trish!!! I'm told, "You have such a pretty face" which is, of course, code for "...but you need to lose weight!" Occasionally, I will see a bigger woman with a boyfriend and wonder if she was big when they met or if she's gained while they were together. But if the guys that don't mind bigger women could wear T-shirts or pins stating such, that would really help!!!
  20. Hi sghatl - am I reading your ticker, right? Have you lost 100 lbs in 4 months!?! I need to get with my program and get my pre-surgery steps in process!!! Thanks PS - I too am torn about Steinberg vs. Menachery!
  21. Thanks so much, Motocross! :-)
  22. Hi all- I just wanted to introduce myself. I probably need to lose 1/2 of my body weight and am thinking about the lap band. (Roux-en-y sounds too scary for me.) I'm so thrilled that I found this Georgian thread! I'm in East Cobb/Marietta and really appreciate the doctor/facility information. Hope everyone is well and has a great week! L
