  1. 1. Heck no it isn't wrong!!! I always get more accomplished when I'm not getting 900 questions asked by my bosses! 2. Aww, how sweet are you, Ebony!
  2. Divaaaaaa!!!! How have you been!?!
  3. i know it's supposed to be all grade/high schooler but i find it so incredibly annoying too!
  4. Seriously...seriously? :rolleyes2:
  5. Well how do you REALLY feel, bbg?!?
  6. I know, right? Thank goodness I don't know specifically what it is! Susan, you could drink cake batter, right?
  7. My old GP wouldn't tell me my TSH (thyroid levels). Um excuse me but that's MY blood you're testing, tyvm. My surgeon tells me how much fill he puts in. I keep it as a note in my blackberry!!! But why does there have to be so damn many of them?!?
  8. Never - it's good to hear. I hope men are like that and I'm definitely not going to dumb myself down. I've worked very hard to get where I am and I am NOT going to dingbat myself for some man! I am "lucky" in that I can speak to/talk to anyone. I'm not so good with flirting but can speak to speak. Practice just saying "hello" with eye contact (and a smile!) to people you walk by in the mall, stores, grocery, wherever (men and women). Not everyone speaks but the point is to just say "hello" or "morning", whatever. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the responses, I believe. I'm not talking a husband; just say hello to open yourself up and be less timid!!!
  9. I just told a gf about what happened at Payments; now that heifer's calling me a cougar. Rude!!!
  10. And today, I sailed through smoothly (@ I-59). Oy! The tornado(es) hit Murfreesboro (south of Nashville) so we were lucky but I heard that 2 people died. Very sad. I saw where it jumped I-24 today; creepy. LOL to the emoticon and ditto!!!!! You definitely are not. Funny!!!!!!! Wait, I see a tongue there! So he missed out on free stuff like candy!!! :blushing: Silly boy wasn't thinking ahead!
  11. Poor pumpkin; I'm so sorry that he's having to go through all that and that the family is too. Hopefully this will be something to hold over his head when he's being a rebellious teenager ("you had us all so worried") A friend had preemie twins and they definitely couldn't leave the hospital until they could suck, swallow, and breathe...didn't depend on their weight at all. Hysterical. I don't ever remember mine being perky either. Other girls got training bras b/c they were fun; I HAD to have one. Completely off point, SNT.....I drove thru Chattaboogie yesterday to come to Nashville (obviously). That whole getting thru Chatt is still such a cluster. I would like to smack the idjut that thought that the route chosen was a good one. Sigh. Oh and PS - why does it always get stopped dead traffic-y around the 59 split? There's nothing out there!!! Grrr :crying:
  12. He just NOW thinks that? You can do it!!! Dad's heart cath went well; he has no blockages. Woohoo!!! He has some artery disease (?) for which he'll be put on a statin. We're all very relieved and thrilled about the news. :tt2:
  13. God love ya - I know you wanna eat your shoe by now! How lovely. Tons of people without jobs and they settle for the druggie. Sigh. and nice! Congenial but distant! I am so not a drinker most of the time but I had soooo many margaritas at convention and one tonight. Lulu - I neither gained nor lost while in Orlando, btw.
  14. Hey - ya gotta get in the proteins, right?
  15. Since I have no children, I'm not familiar with the Alvin version! At conference, however, a co-worker and I said "bow chicka bow bow" at any kind of double entendre or for just anything that we could make inappropriate. Thank yewwww, thank you very much! <snap> Oh and he's a LOT younger than I am. My brother is exactly the same way!!! He grew up eating Grape Nuts w/ no milk....crunch crunch crunch. Sounded like he was eating gravel. I'm off to TN. Everyone have a good w/e...hopefully I'll be able to get on LBT some.
  16. Who knew!?!?!?! Supposed to see him in July when he comes down for a different conference. We shall see!
  17. Oh my stars, I would STILL be grounded. I definitely support your stance! A co-worker is having horrible, horrible probs with her 15-16 yo son (house arrest, etc). She did the "friend" type of parenting and is now realizing that she's made a mistake. He and his stepdad (friend's husband) drove her crazy while we were at conference. My family says that too! OK enough enough about yo junk! Comments for the last 5 days: ColoradoChick - how is your nephew doing? I am so sorry your family is going through this. My thoughts are with you all. Slim - a stove? We heard this comedian at a luncheon. His whole act was about the differences b/w men and women now can be tied back to caveman times. Men focused on one thing (hunting) and ignored everything around them to line up the arrow shot. Women gathered for berries, veggies, whatever so we are always on the lookout for stuff and details. His name is Vince Valentine. He was very funny - we did hear that some people didn't like it. I thought, "oh plz - he told the truth; get ovah it." So we think that buying a stove is idiocy but in his mind, I'm sure it made sense somehow, ha. Gone - see above about re-graveling. That definitely would've taken a lot of effort tho not so romantic! Also, I lived in Memphis 14 years and never saw any salt water taffy!!! Was it down on Beale Street? Heartfire - do they have you on meds for the migraines? My GP prescribed Treximet but I haven't taken any yet. Gloucester - I really hope you don't make the layoff list. I've been laid off and the uncertainty really sucks. I don't understand how people get chosen as golden children. Plain is definitely case in point!!! Fanny - awesome aboriginal pics. I'm sure that was so cool to experience! Ebony - my dad's side is difficult to research too. Documentation is definitely key for the work drama! As far as the supervisor goes, she very well may be threatened by you. Just make sure to keep that cya file up-to-date! (cover your ass) To everyone - I am so happy to be home! Alas, I will be heading out tomorrow to go visit my parents. My dad called Monday to tell me that at his stress test (that he'd insisted upon), the doc(s) found that he had a minor blockage in his heart so they're doing the balloon thing early Friday morning so I'm going up to be with my mom. I'm going with the positive view that I'm so thrilled that they've found it now and can hopefully fix it before it gets/got more serious. My mom's sister was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure a month or so ago so my mom's all weepy a lot so again, I'm going to try to be the positive one. Thankfully I know that He will be with me to keep me strong! The conference was fun but some of the topics were over my head. My industry has a LOT of acronyms!! Had we been discussing my field, I would've been much better off, haha. One fun thing was that I met a (single) guy who was very fun to talk to...had the greatest Boston accent! And yes, there mighta been a little smoochfest. :tt2: Very good for the ego. He's got to come down here for a business function in July; supposedly he wants to see me so we'll see. My FB folks - pleeeeease, do NOT mention this on FB. He knows a LOT of people at my org and this does not need to get around.
  18. I'm so glad to know others are as anal about money as I am! Wellllll, HF, how do you REALLY feel? :smile2: But I am wichya with what you said! You don't carry a cell or a purse. I know not of what foreign language you speak! I just pared (sp) down to a smaller purse for the business trip to Orlando. Y'all would probably think it was big!! And my rant.....whose cockamamie idea was it to start a conference at noon on a Sunday? GRR :welldoneclap: Idiocy!! Both! I haven't had a Little Debbie in eons. My favs: oatmeal pie and nutty bars! I just went to littledebbie.com. They have something called "racecar brownies" shaped (duh) like racecars with red icing. WTH? Looks disgusting! OK everyone - I'm off to the airport, gah. "See" y'all Wednesday or on Facebook before then!
  19. Fanny - I didn't even recognize you! You look faboo! And I subscribe to the Suze Orman thought of respecting money to bring it to you. I'm (paper) cluttery in my home unfortunately but my purse is organized!!! I can't stand for things not to be in their proper place. At a luncheon one time, I took a friend's wallet while the convo was continuing and put her money in order. She didn't even blink! (Yeah I was treasurer of our sorority for 2 years!) Girl, what do you have against a wallet + purse?!? :scared2: Brandy - I saw pics of you on facebook. I had no idea you were so small! Good job! re: work food - I found out this week that I'm moving floors (long story). I so hope that they aren't bringing in food kind of folks!!!
  20. "Heads up, chin to the left." That's awesome! As I used to say, I want all the mens looking at ME! har har. We're "detailed oriented" - your ex sounds OCD!
  21. You don't keep your currency in your wallet by denom? :w00t: How do you know how much you have? Guess you haven't worked in a cash dept anywhere!!!! Mine are in denom order, facing the same way, and "conditioned" meaning straightened out and unfolded. Virgo power! I concur! In my surgery month thread, I used to add the URL for the LBT abbreviations!
  22. you know you love me!!! :smile2:
  23. What's the BL thread? OK seriously....I am the biggest Excel lover ever but keying currency into a spreadsheet is beyond OCD!!! speaking of OCD!!! No omen - you're just clumsy as hell like I am!!! Good luck and think positively!
  24. OMG - I am at 8.3 cc's in a 10 cc band. wth!
  25. To figure out my fill, do the math in my profile (I can't see it right now!). I got 2.3 cc's yesterday. The only med I can't go to liquids with is Effexor. I have a crusher so I definitely need to break it out. I guess I don't understand how I will ever get to food if I can't even get down a doggone pill. Interesting hypothesis on the throat. That would affect my stomach? My surgeon won't hear that I'm too tight. I made him take out last time b/c I couldn't even keep down water and I threw up/PB'd for 12 straight hours. Happy!
