  1. Quite right. At this stage, remember the main focus is on healing. The weight loss is but a pleasant side effect! My doc discouraged it. When I asked "why" he didn't really have a very good answer, though. So now I'm riding the caffeine train again.
  2. Is this a liberal trick, SNT?
  3. That's not really applicable here. Seperation of church and state means that the government shan't force anybody into a state-approved religion. Doesn't mean that we must have a secular government. And I don't understand why our culture is being continually "dumbed down" with every passing generation.....but still. I'm one of those people you're refering to. I have a couple of gay friends and several lesbian friends. I love them dearly. And yet, if it came up for a vote, I would vote against "marriage" for them. I whole-heartedly support a civil union that would grant the same legal rights as a marriage. Maybe that demonizes me in some eyes....IDK.....I don't personally have any problem reconsiling both positions.
  4. Hmmmm, the things Fanny puts in her mouth.....ZING!! High five myself! Well THAT's kind of an awkward gift for your mom, but hey....whatever....
  5. Only like rainbows and awesomeness This is unknown to me....Is the sour cream used in the crust? I'm intrigued. That's ok, the baby can be awake for both of y'all.
  6. PJTP: Don't you hate it when the plots of some movies are overly complicated and intellectual? I'm watching The witches of Breastwick 2 right now and man am I lost. I'm no rocket scientist, Cinemax!!
  7. Ahhhhhhh......some are wise.....
  8. You accusin' me of being Quayle, man?!? Because I call spell much more worser than Mr. Quayle!
  9. I smell a hedonist here in our midst!! Spoken like a true woman... Bingo! Only I thought the reason Mac was a freak of nature was the webbed fingers and toes...
  10. I think that's one of the signs of the apocalypse! Yikes!!
  11. Ladies, I have to confess that I'm pro-sexy beast. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
  12. Do you REALLY wanna open that can of worms again??
  13. I declare Steve Goad the winner of this debate.
  14. No, you're correct. I was wrong! See below I was watching the Today show and they kept going on and on about this huge difference in the oppositional votes. Later, I saw on FNC that the results were much closer, so I looked online. Apparently, Today was breaking down the vote demographically and blacks were the group that accounted for the 80% stat. So, yeah, I'm a dumbass. But Today shares some of the blame. I don't even like that show....my wife watches it. I did have a little trouble believing that stat.....80% was messing with my head.
  15. It's not so much a matter of "nice Americans should share with their less fortunate neighbors", as much as it's a matter of "we have limited resources". As Americans, we are very fortunate. However, even we Americans don't have unlimited stuff. I've seen some of your posts, so I know you're concerned with the plight of poor Americans. We need to get our own house in order before we throw the doors wide open to all comers. How many illegal immigrants do you think our economy can support right now? 3 million? 10 million? 30 million? And I won't even go into national security issues with having porous borders. Bottom line, I'm not trying to be heartless...I know that the majority of illegals just want a better life. But I'm not willing to sacrifice my country to give them that. Better for everybody that we shut the borders up tight, and allow legal immigration.
  16. Yeah, that does seem to be a "powder room gone wild" kind of thing, eh? lol
  17. AKA, democracy....kidding....I actually find the whole process quite interesting. On the radical ends of the spectrum are anarchy and judicial activism. Somewhere in between those two points is the opportunity for average citizens to vote for what they want their state to be. I know I keep harping on this, but for prop 8 to be defeated in such a resounding manner tells me that the majority of Californians would vote down such a measure no matter what approach to changing the state constitution was used. 80%? I might expect that in Texas, but not Cali...
  18. Fanny, I've been plagued by my inability to "find the button" ever since my wedding night. Damn you for exposing my secret!! :smile2:
  19. And it was voted down by a resounding 80%....wow.....I didn't see that coming. When I think of California, I don't picture a bastion of conservatism.
  20. Welcome Pepper. There are a lot of resources here to help you make an informed decision.
  21. Strength and Courage, SweetP!! You can do it!
  22. Hey, Bill. Great to have you here, man.
  23. Hey there Britt. Welcome.....C'mon in and pull up a chair! There is a ton of information to look through on here. If you don't knowvery much about the band and are looking to research it, I'd suggest you start with the FAQ's. If you kinda know the basics of the band, then pick a forum that looks to be the most appropriate for your specific question. Good luck on your journey, and keep us all posted on how it's going!!
  24. And now I have a compliment from Donna "framed" in my very own quotebox! Next time I say something stupid, I'm gonna break this out, Donna.
