1. Everything is going according to the plan as my surgeon sees it. I wish I would have lost more weight by now, but that's it.
2. Congratulations and good luck on your journey.
3. You should ask your doctor if you can add fruit to your shakes. It makes them a little thicker and holds you better.
4. Congratulations and good luck on your journey.
5. 1. Get some tattoos 2. Take a decent photo 3. Get a total makeover (I really need this one)

I have a health-o-meter. I'm not sure exactly what model it is, but it measures weight and body fat percentage. It has 2 settings that can be programmed for 2 different people.
7. I just bought new jeans in September. Although I'm in the market for new clothes because I dropped another size, I will not buy anything new until the end of spring.
8. You should make an appointment with your surgeon and have that rectified asap.
9. I use muscle milk light powder in vanilla creme and cookies n cream flavors. I either mix it with milk or with my carnation instant breakfast no sugar added drink.
10. I did the optifast for 1 week. It consisted of 5 shakes/bars per day. I was allowed to add fruit to the shakes to make them thicker. I lost about 6-7 lbs.
11. Congratulations and good luck on your journey.
12.

I heard so much of about the wendy's chilli from this board, so I finally went got some last week. It was delicious. It's not spicy at all. They give you a packet of spicy sauce if you want to use it.
13. Unfortunately my Y only offers 1 on 1 or group training. I don't know anyone in my area, so getting a deal on the group training is out. Oh well, I'll see how my funds are and take it from there. Thanks!
14. I'll trade places with you any day.
15. I did the 1 week optifast back in June of 2008 and was able to put fruit in the shakes and blend them up. It was definitely had the first few days but I was able to stick it out. I even lost about 8 lbs on it. Good luck!
16. After searching for a personal trainer with not luck, I was thinking about joining my local ymca. I just found out that they offer personal training services. Their rates are $120 for 3 sessions, 6 for $240 + a free session, etc. I've worked with personal trainers in the past, with good results. Has anyone here used the ymca's personal training services?
17. We don't get the girl scouts selling cookies where I live. Thank goodness for that.
18. That's a good idea. I will look for some in my area. Also my support group has a clothing exchange, I'll look into that as well. Thanks!
19. I have a magic bullet and it works great. There's always some noise with these appliances. I use my mb everyday for my shakes and smoothies.
20. My mom has told me once again that I need to put on a belt or get smaller jeans. I do wear a belt, but I cannot afford to buy jeans at every size as I lose weight. She does wait a while to mention it though, so maybe it's time to buy a smaller size.
21. I do make the mistake from time to time. Today I was eating something I wasn't supposed to be eating and had a small gulp of water and I choked everything up. This was totally my fault because I was doing wrong on all levels. Just be careful not to drink at least 30 minutes before a meal, during a meal, and at least 30 minutes after. At least for me that works, when I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing.
22. Hi Kelly, Your surgeon should give you a meal plan for the weeks that follow your surgery. Every doctor is different when it comes to the post op liquid diet.
23. I don't actually miss fast food because I never was a heavy fast food eater. I do occasionally get my chick fil a nuggets and mcdonald's fries, but that's only on occasion. I do crave grilled chicken salad and have a little bit of a hard time eating it now.
24. In order to do this you would have to take out a private student loan. I've seen a lot of commercials where I am(PA) offering up to $40k in student loans. I personally have medicaid, so that's how I got my band covered. I couldn't possibly justify taking out a student loan to pay for this surgery, my tuition is high enough and I'm in student loan hell or at least I will be when I graduate
