  1. Isn't it great?!!!?!?!!? my best friend came over to help me plant two roses today (next weekend is my birthday) and when we were sitting in my chairs out back, visiting afterwards, I pulled my legs up into the chair. haven't done that in FOREVER. before surgery I would have needed to be inside in the AC as it was warm and we had been working. It was nice to feel normal. to sit in the sun and visit.
  2. I have 5, two are about 1 inch and the others are about 1/3 of an inch. I seriously doubt there'll be much in the way of a visible scar, and unlike KF, I'm not even hairy there to hide them. :-D
  3. you're just fine - some people's swelling goes down faster than others, and I think that makes the biggest difference in moving forward with the diet.
  4. my plan allowed for fish on soft foods, after week 2. I do not eat fish. my nut approved very moist crock pot chicken breast, and I did fine with that. small bites, chew well. rest between bites because it is so easy to have "one bite too many"
  5. you.are.the.best. that is all. :-)
  6. have you ever tried to make your own? my mother makes the very best venison Jerky I've *ever* had. mine is good, but not quite up to hers. It's not hard at all if you have an oven. and so much cheaper!
  7. we do pulled turkey or pulled chicken in the crock pot quite often, it has been an easy thing for me to manage. very moist. Tomorrow we are firing up the grill and having some of the grown kids over, really looking forward to it. the weather has been absolutely perfect this weekend.
  8. comments can be annoying, but the changes are real. There are some people when I see the before and after and I would not have known it was the same person.
  9. Peggy Cappy Yoga for the Rest of Us.
  10. plans vary so widely - what does your plan allow at this point?
  11. bahahahaha and bossy.............
  12. I think perhaps you need a version with more scenery at the top and more cropped at the bottom to center you in the bubble better. Do you have a less cropped version on your computer to play around with?
  13. some things reheat well and others less so. It is always worth trying and see how you like it. I haven't run into anything that I didn't like as well after it's thawed out. If I am having a lunch or dinner that was in the freezer I try to take it out the night before and put it in the fridge.
  14. me too! and I love to see pictures of everyone else's food. Tonight we made a tex mex meat blend. The family made nachos, I had my nachos without chips. I will make about 12 burritos with the leftover meat/beans for my husband and freeze all but 3 for his future lunches. me too! and I love to see pictures of everyone else's food. 15. this weekend I will cook up a bunch of ground sirloin and ground turkey together with garlic, salt and pepper. this will make a number of fast easy lunch/dinners. I will crock pot about 6 chicken breasts with seasoning too. Then, I will prep my lunches for the week and stack em up in the veggie drawer of the fridge so the 21 yr old boy wont find them. :-D I love to cook - but getting some of this labor out of the way means I can easily have something different ready during the week in way less than 30 minutes.
  16. isn't it wonderful that you have caught this at 35 pounds rather than 100? You've got good advice here, you can do it!
  17. I thought this was diet related, extreme way to end overeating. :-D
  18. well. she will probably get good at climbing - so that you will be having her climb up on a couch for changing or cuddling. look, it's not ideal. but I had 4 children at home under age 8 when I had a c section and I was left at home with all of them, and it was ok. you get through it somehow. I couldn't lift then either. You will need to prepare as many meals ahead and do the grocery shopping for two full weeks BEFORE surgery. you will not want to be up and down. If needed pack a cooler of Snacks to keep by the sofa or wherever you are nesting to minimize trips for snacks. Have diapers, wipes and a trash handy where you nest also. truth be told I felt pretty good after surgery and if you have no complications you will too. the hardest part will be eating liquids while feeding her good food. you can do it. the good news is two months from surgery she can expect to have a healthier, happier mama with way more energy to interact with her. the c section was a LOT harder for me than this surgery. Mom's are tough, you can do this!
  19. congrats! "normal" is a setting on the dryer.
