Less than 40g carbs forever?
there are certain things my NUT stresses that I vehemently disagree with. However, other areas they have been extremely helpful to me. So, I take what I can use and move forward. not going to stress over it. right now I aim for less than 60 a day - but not forever. forever I will be high Protein, low carb though. I get that.

Is it really that MUCH trouble!?
and there are times when a wrong word (or spelling) is used and it takes me FOREVER to figure out what they are really trying to say. - sometimes I just skip over them. which makes me kind of sad, because they probably need the interaction - but there is only so much I can do. and yes, I get that English is not everyone's first language, but hey, this is what it is. I try. they try. sometimes, meh. it's not enough.

Tips for caring for kids after surgery?
my only close experience was a middle child was born via c section and I had other littles at home. Granted the csection was much harder than the sleeve, but somethings apply. prepare as much ahead as possible. meals, preportioned that can just be fed to them, or warmed and fed to them. you are not going to want to handle their food much in the first two weeks when you are on liquids. Do as much of that shopping and prep as possible. create 2 or 3 nesting spots in your home, comfy places where the little one will be safe to play and you have all you need for diaper changes and such and if you get drowsy you can drift off for a few minutes. have cups with lids or straws for you - so baby doesn't tip over your beverage that you're sipping on. We momma's are a tough lot, you can do this!

Musings & Questions - mostly nutrition related
people who eat in front of the TV tend to mindlessly eat. HOWEVER, you have to do what is best for you. in the early days, when I was waiting 5 minutes to take the next bite? I ate in front of the TV, even handed my plate to my husband sometimes if I feel I am eating to quickly. I have a large family. it doesn't matter *where* I eat, I am going to be distracted, so that is why I have to carefully portion out my food and Snacks for the day. even at work I am pretty often interrupted.

The Great Arse Face Experiment (Or - Does Haemorrhoid Cream really help with your turkey neck?)
Yes, I see that there is some loose skin - but I'll tell you what, IMHO, loose skin is a whole lot more attractive than skin filled out with tons of fat. :-) so, you're looking better and better! There's nothing wrong with you in the looks department. you're still in that stall? what are we going to do about it?

Weight loss after sleeve
this is so fabulous it deserves repeating. Based on your topic I was willing to jump on board and give my own experiences... basically I agree with everyone else. Your journey is YOURS. Try not to compare to others, as everyone is different. Also, I too was going to tell you about the 3 week stall (and 6 week, and 12 week if you are like me). You are losing, and that is a huge positive to look at. Pretty consistent with what everyone else is saying. However, what I really want to comment on now is your above post. Please remember that *YOU* initiated the discussion by posting to an open forum. That means you wanted people to respond to you. You don't get to choose what those responses have to say. You don't have to agree with them, but you did solicit them. If you don't want to hear what people have to say then perhaps you should stick to reading the boards to garner your information and refrain from asking questions of which you might not like the responses. Just my 2 cents. yes. THIS.

Burping
in month 2 I had a lot (I mean a LOT) of little burps. constant. I was eating just a smidge too much, just a bit too fast. slowed down, smaller bites and the burping is not so much now. maybe give it a try.

Anyone from Michigan have the sleeve done.?
you will have to go back to basics in order to turn around and go back to loosing. I would be in DEEP mourning if I moved away from Petoskey and for a long time! well. I am still not over moving from the Traverse City area to Nashville almost 20 years ago. my husband would tell you he still regularly hears about it! if walking outdoors is not feasible I would suggest walking videos to walk indoors and get moving again. You can do this!

that's amazing! FABULOUS!- Questions on the dreaded "3 week stall"
if you have an appointment at a month like I did, your NUT and team will help you make any tweaks you need to get moving again. for me, at that point I was struggling with constipation issues, once they were resolved I started loosing again. When I stalled again around 8 weeks I did a few days of logging my food on the app I log my exercise on. Realized I either needed to cut back on the walking a bit (the dog was running away from me sometimes) or eat a little more. cut a few workouts, and added a Protein snack, and boom, loosing again now, so maybe that was what was needed. I don't mind embracing a stall, but I don't want to move in and unpack.- Questions on the dreaded "3 week stall"

so for me, the first two weeks were HARD. I would expect you still have ghrelin in your system. I almost had to smack a teenager who kept coming to sit by me when she snacked. BUT after that, and when I was on soft foods, it was not a problem, and at least so far I have not had much in the way of cravings - and eat according to plan. learning to eat s l o w l y and stop before I am full have been the only real challenges.- My sleeve journey has officially started!
Congrats! I am really looking forward to seeing your progress!- Exercise
I started walking that first day, v e r y slowly at first, short times. by week 3 I was back to my normal routine of walking. Now I am up at dark thirty every day to get three miles in, and sometimes a second walk. my goal is at least 20 miles per week. at one month I was cleared for other exercise and so also add in pilates and yoga for stress relief and strength. Now that pools are opening I am looking forward to getting back to swimming. !!! You don't want to do more than walking until the doctor says you are healed enough.- Not losing weight
how are you doing with your fluids and Protein? sometimes not getting enough nutrition in can slow things down. sometimes it's nothing we're doing- Breakfast ideas.
my own doctor's plan has breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner. if I am doing heavy gardening, or hiking or two walks I add one snack in the evening too. They are all small, and my weight loss is good. lots of Protein, some veg, a wee bit of fruit, and that one slice of toast a few times a week. so far the weight is falling off at a fairly steady pace. Quite please.- Negative Nancy
when do you have your one month check up? I think that is more trouble than would be normal. - 100 pounds lost!
