4 years post op and regain
I've been doing the 5dpt and am shocked at how much restriction I still have. I have already lost 5 lbs in 3 days which shows me how poor my decisions have been for the last few years. So yay! I just had a leg cast removed yesterday so I can get back in to my Crossfit workouts (slowly) but this was a good reminder that this surgery was not a quick fix and I am not "cured". This will always be a part of me and I will always have to work at weight loss and/or maintaining due to my surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Weight Gained Since Having Gastric Sleeve Surgery
I'm 4 years post op. I have gained 35lbs from my lowest. I even tried dieting again then realized I screwed up I am in bad habits. Eating even when full, not drinking Water, drinking with meals. The last couple days I started watching those things and poof down 5 lbs. so I think my realization is my sleeve is still a tool and I need to remember I am not a normal dieter anymore. I had WLS and will never be the same again. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Gurgling!
I was sleeved 4 years ago and after I eat I have a very noisy stomach. No more pain but it has become the joke in the house about moms noisy stomach. I think it's normal. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

4 years post op and regain
Hi all! I was sleeved in March of 2012 and lost weight quick. I was able to get down to 120 from 220 which was mind blowing. I am now currently 155 and I am afraid I have blown my surgery. I work out 4-5 days a week and try to be good with food but I know I snack a bit more than I should. Has anyone done the 5 day pouch test diet? Did it work? Or is the sleeve meant to wear out after 4 years? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Dr. Michael Feiz Patients...I have a Question
I was sleeved in 2012 with dr Feiz. I loved them at the time. But after my 3 month follow up they never called me again. I called recently to see if I should see them since its been 4 years and I've gained back 30 lbs and they said yes. Just kinda bugs me there was no follow up Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks! I have never heard of that test, so that will at least put my mind at ease that I didnt ruin all that work! and yes the sleeve is WAY better than the lapband! I realized too I got back in the habit of drinking and eating at the same time...EEK!

Gaining Back Some Weight And So Upset
I had my sleeve done in March (2012)(replacing a slipped lap band that was 1 1/2 yrs old) After the sleeve I got down to my goal pretty quick - I didnt have much left to loose so it was wonderful! After July we went on a road trip and I came back gaining back 10 lbs. I was horrified!! I started working out now, crossfit 6 days a week. I am seeing changes in my arms and muscles etc but the scale is killing me. I am now up 15 lbs and I am freaking out. I am convinced that I have completely stretched out my sleeve and will be overweight again very soon. What am i doing wrong???

Set Up to fail
I was banded in November 2010, and the standard stuff, not the right fills etc. HOWEVER my Dr is always too busy to meet with me and talks down to me. I have never met with a nutrionist and I still have no idea how to eat. I have been stuck at the same weight for over 4 months now and my port area is buldging and hurting. I have days that I eat all day with some restriction and some days I cant get hot tea down. I am tired of being sick tired of not knowing how to deal with my band and tired of a Dr that wont help me. I cant find a doctor that is near me to take over the aftercare that is not in my insurance network. So basically I am lost, I feel that my dr put this device in me and took off...gave me no tools, no understanding of how the band works. THe last visit I had with my dr, he got stuck in surgery and couldnt see me (after a 3 hour drive to see him). The nurse told me that the scar tissue capsulized around my port area and that was wierd; yet NO ONE has returned my call to help me. SO what do i do now?? ALSO - Where can I find education on how to eat, how my band works, how do I know if the band is broken or not working the way it should/??
