Back pain
Keep us updated! I hope it's not that for you too! A problem with my gallbladder is now my newest biggest fear. I'm so worried it's gonna cause me problems and I'm gonna need to get it out. I was abruptly taken off of the medication the Surgeon prescribes to lessen the risk of gallstones a few days ago. I may be allergic to it. Soooooooooo now I wait and see if I miraculously pull thru without problems or not. I hear that if you pass the 9-12 month mark without any gallbladder issues, that you're most likely in the clear. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong) So I have 7-10 months to wait and see!

My surgeons office sent out email with all patients names CC'd. How upset would you be?
I'd be PI**ED!!!! serious breach of confidentiality! I'm sure you and about 499 other patients called the office this morn! I wonder if anyone will be reprimanded? (Is that the correct word? "Get in trouble")

Change of plans..
Teared up a little here. Yes it does sound that this surgery could potentially save your life. With heart disease so dominate in your family.. yikes! I hope this all falls into place for you and you live a long healthy life. Live to be 105 woman! ????

Activities that fueled my food addiction and over consumption of unhealthy foods
All the above. Especially the secret binge eating and sometimes drinking late at night while watching Netflix. I love going out for dinner and drinks with friends. It is one of my favorite things to do in the whole wide world. And going to the movies - for the popcorn of course. I still watch Netflix but drink my Water while doing it. Still go to a movie once in a while but just inhale the smell of popcorn and then ignore it while actually focusing on the movie! Have only gone out for dinner twice in 8 weeks and did well with it. I will admit, it is definitely not as fun because you can't "let go" and enjoy yourself as much, but I did have many many years of doing just that so I'm good with it.

Blurry vision after surgery
I thought it was just me!!! In fact, I have noticed it so much that I had to make an eye appointment for next week. I hope it's not as bad as I think! I literally just filled a years worth of contacts - if I have to go out and buy another years worth, I'll be kinda pissed! (I'm sure Costco will exchange though)

Addicted to BP

Ice cream?
I should've read this before I posted my comment. Thank you for explaining more.

Ice cream?
I completely agree. Sorry, no offence but she's right. All of your posts are asking about what you can eat and when. You're so early in and every post from practically post op day 1 has been questions about what foods you can eat at this stage or it almost sounds like what foods you want to try to get away with eating. Did you go home with a food plan or a schedule for stages? Maybe not focus so much on food. I know that's hard to do since we've all done it for so long! Can you try and find a hobby or something to take your mind off the food part of this journey? I wish you success and I am rooting for you. I hope your cravings damper down and you beat your head hunger. Again, I apologize for sounding a bit harsh but it has been an observation for quite some time and just want you to succeed at this!

Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
Holy sh*t she would've gotten a piece of my mind! And maybe a bit of my fist. (No not really but it would definitely cross my mind!)

2 weeks beyond surgery still hungry 2,200 calories a day what's wrong?
Glad to hear from you Dallas! I'm happy you're pursuing this and getting it dealt with. You deserve it. Please keep us updated every time you see your surgeon and what gets said and done. We are all rooting for you! !

Only 75-80 pounds to lose
Oh and I am pretty sure (sleevers step in here please) that a person that had the gastric sleeve can also experience dumping syndrome. But maybe not as likely or often...?
