  1. HOLY!!!! that's an amazing loss! Congratulations on such an accomplishment! If I were you, I wouldn't sweat it if you do end up stalling, you've done so awesome! You deserve a big huge pat on the back!

My husband and I shared this ginormous platter of MEEEEEEAAAAAATT. it consisted of ribs, brisquette, (spelling?) sausage, steak, pulled pork, chicken, bacon, homemade potato chips, baked Beans, potato salad, coleslaw and cornbread. it was da' bomb!!!! and a big huge beer. hmmmmm beer. Heather

You go guy! @@Djmohr you ALWAYS have such wonderful and motivating comments! I also always enjoy reading what you have to say too!
  4. I went out for dinner last night for the first time post surgery! Went to Earls and had a bento box but only had the salmon (without the sauce) - and only had about 2 ounces of it. I think I did ok! Oh and I tried on a pair of jeans that 6 weeks ago I couldn't even get up over my hips and I completely bypassed the "almost fit" stage!!! They went from being way too tight to wear, to TOO BIG!!! YAY!! (Wore them anyways just because I could ) That totally pumped me up for the evening! This is really happening!!!!!! Can't wait for more NSV'S! !!!!!
  5. Checking in today at 241.0 I hope to hit my goal of 239.8 by Monday but I doubt it. Oh well I'm happy with the loss anyways!!
  6. Also just some gentle advice. .... You are allowed to use periods and commas to help us understand what you are trying to say. They help. A lot.
  7. 9 days for me. And yes take stool softeners! And don't be weirded out if your poops from now on are a light light brown in colour. And smell different. Unless those things are abnormal.... someone tell me quick! LOL
  8. So crappy! Sorry to hear this! That sucks. Wish you well and speedy recovery
  9. There are far too many of us from "band to bypass" I did have the band but had it removed 5 yrs ago because for 3 years my body was rejecting it. I had RNY a little over 5 weeks ago and doing great. No regrets. (Well, except not going with the bypass from the very get-go) Good luck to you and hope all goes well!
  10. Is this vegemite a US thing? Never heard of it or marmite! (I'm Canadian, can you tell?) LOL
  11. Holy congratulations! That is so much for such a short time! That's awesome
  12. That's a great idea! I actually have these looooooong mixed together songs on my Playlist. Some of them are like an hour long. All Michael Jackson songs remixed and amalgamated and such. The best songs of 2014 all remixed and amalgamated and so on. It helps pass the time for sure! Unless you've listened to that track too many times and you skip it... then you've literally just skipped an hours worth of music! Another thing I do is put my towel over the keyboard thingy so I can't see the time or what interval is coming up or anything. This way I don't dwell on how much time I have left and concentrate on keeping up to the beat of the songs. Keep up the great work!!!
  13. Nope, we nurses are not all like that!!! Report!
  14. So happy for you and you're doing so great! I'm so happy I had WLS as well! Happy losing! !!!!
  15. I drink them. I like the berry and the lemon. I thought I'd love the grape because I like grape everything but nope, didn't like that one. It's 600ml and 15 gm of protein. It def helps in both the protein and fluid department! They cost anywhere between 2.40 and 3.00 here in British Columbia. If you go to GNC they sometimes have a special where if you buy 4 you get 5th one free, so that saves some.
  16. BOOM! that seriously just made me peddle harder on my recumbent bike! High gear, my friend, high effin gear!!!
  17. Welcome!!! This site is so very helpful (and addicting!) I have found so much inspiration and support that has given me that extra little boost to stay positive, get excited, stay focused and push myself to continue on with this journey! You will do this! I will do this! Let's do this!!!! ????
  18. Thank you! Things are sorta looking up, yep! Weighed myself this am (was very scared stepping on that scale!!!) And down 4.4lb since last weigh in so I'm super stoked for the loss! Was either expecting a gain or at very least seeing the same # I saw last weigh in. Now to continue downwards! 2 more treatments left and hopefully a full recovery by mid-late this week!!!!
  19. I thought that with a "full" tummy tuck that they do actually pull up thigh skin...? I thought that that is actually part of the tuck. I'm also waiting to see if someone will respond that has had thigh tuck done. I know that when I lost a lot of weight many years ago that I still had really loose inner thigh skin and it was also loose around the inside of my knees. Could never wear short shorts, always wore board shorts. Oh well I guess I'll be expecting that again but I except that!
  20. Weighed in one day early; new weight 244.4 (Last weight was 248.8)
