  1. I haven't noticed that weeks I may eat less dairy has slowed my weight loss. I eat dairy almost every single meal and I think I'm pretty on key with the weight loss average I guess you'd have to test it.... and then let us know what the outcome is! Haha
  2. Actually MyMeshelle, the OP has every right to ask.Make your own post that has to do with you! Or PM with the other poster that is having lapband problems and talk amongst yourselves. You're the one that's grumpy and with you jumping down the OP's throat - nobody will want to help you! That was totally uncalled for.
  3. I didn't have a pre op diet. Just had to have a clear liquid day - the day before surgery. And nothing at all after 10pm the night before.
  4. You won't have failed because you at least hit you original goal and early! I'd say go for it!!!! ????
  5. Oh yay! I hit my Dec 31 goal today! 219.8 New Goal for Dec 31 ='s 214.8 Thank you again
  6. You two are doing this together. ...how about getting her and you a tattoo? If you're into that, of course
  7. Good to know, thank you!
  8. You're kickin' a** with yours! Love them!
  9. It sounds like Hypotension. Or more specifically orthostatic hypotension. It happens when you sit to stand or bend over to stand etc. Your blood pressure drops. And all of the symptoms you mentioned are exactly what happens when your BP drops. The only thing you can really do for that is move slower.... sounds lame I know but really that's about it. And make sure that your sodium isn't low. (Can check that by getting bloodwork) If it is, you'll have to eat more salt!!!! Did you ever think that you'll be told to eat MORE salt?! Haha Good luck in finding your answers.
  10. So here's an update on Moi. Since Saturday later afternoon, I have been having sudden stomach cramping, sudden nausea then leading to dry heaving, then gas and bloating then a sh*t ton (pun intended) of diarrhea. It's even at night. Other than all of the intermittently issues listed above, I feel totally fine otherwise. And the nausea and heaving has only happened 4 times in 5 days and it's quick and then that part passes. It's the continuous liquid stool that I'm worried about. I do believe I am now dehydrated. And the only reason I know I am now is because today my urine was a medium color and I haven't had to go nearly as much as I normally would, and when I do go, it's small amounts. Up until today I was still peeing lots and it was always light to clear in color. My doctor thinks it's because I have recently been put back on a medication the surgeon prescribed to lower the risk (or hopefully prevent) gallstones. I was taken off of it for a few weeks for other reasons not needed to be explained in this post. ☺ All of the above issues are very common side effects. Diarrhea is the first one listed. I don't believe it's a stricture. Or at least I pray it isnt! I am always able to keep food and Water down without problems and other than some cramping right before these episodes start, I'm in no pain and feel completely fine. What's weird is that the last two days I'm fine all day at work, go to the gym and then when I'm done, that's when the cramping - to nausea- to heaving - to gas-to multiple bouts of diarrhea- starts. It starts the second I pull into my driveway. This is actually exactly how it happened when it all started on Saturday! Weird, right? Anyway this is super long post, sorry! I'm just wondering if any of you have had this issue? Just out of the blue too! Are you also on a medication to help prevent gallstones? Did you find that this medication gave you the above symptoms? This cannot be dumping. Not for 5 days straight! ..... right? I'm not eating or drinking anything different either. I'm just getting super tired of living in the bathroom! But I'm also scared to stop taking the Ursodiol! I don't want gallstones or another surgery! Any help, tips, advice or info on similar stories is much appreciated! Thanks for reading and I'm hoping that some of you can help shed some light on this situation. P.S. my bum bum hurts! P.P.S. This is great for weight loss! hahahaha (but seriously, it actually isn't) P.P.P.S. I had Gastric bypass (almost) 12 weeks ago. (haven't had this issue before now) Heather
  11. I would think that if it's only been a week then it's gas pains. It's usually only one shoulder. .. and usually the left. (I know this because that is exactly what it was when I was banded in 2005 - and it lasted up to almost 2 weeks after surgery) They pump you with a lot of air so they can get at you easier while under the knife. Was it your surgeon or family doc that told you this? This seems strange to me. (But of course I'm not a doctor!) I know when things didn't agree with me (whether it being liquid or solid food) it was a tightness in the centre of my chest and I wasn't able to keep anything down. Even saliva. I could literally bend over and whatever was in there blocking would just fall out of my mouth. I'd also get these waves of feeling like I'm choking. Hope this helps.... a little. And I hope it goes away real soon!
  12. My goal is to get to 149. I believe I based that on a healthy bmi range of 24. (From what I can remember) Also because it is out of the 150's
  13. Wow it sounds like the flight attendant was eyeing you up and possibly hitting on you! Whether you "swing that way" or not, it's still nice to be noticed by both sexes ????
  14. that's what I call having a positive! all of your points are great ones! maybe this means that there is just something awesome in the works and losing your job was a blessing in disguise. great attitude! take care and enjoy your time off!
  15. I've enjoyed all of your posts and comments. You are an inspiration and a true success story. You not only lost weight and got your mindset back you also overcame alcohol abuse. It by itself is a huge pat on the back! I'm so sorry about your friend. You look great and I hope to have a similar mind set down the road about life in general and not live in the now. Congrats to you. Heather
  16. You look awesome!! You have a very sexy curvy body! You need curves cuz you're a woman! VA VA VA voom You're tummy is flat, you're waist is a gorgeous hour glass and you have lovely hips! And to boot - you have nice boobies! No I'm not gay. No I'm not hitting on you. LOL I just know a nice womanly figure when I see one! Keep doing what you're doing!
  17. Hi Parm, I'm from British Columbia Canada! I'm 11 weeks post op RNY and I had my surgery in Montreal. I weighed in today and I've now lost 50 lbs! You can do this! It'll be great and you never regret one minute of it! If you need anything don't hesitate to message me. Or ask on this site. This site is amazing and holds tons of great information from other losers. (Hahaha) Just stick to your eating plan that your surgeon and/or nutritionist gives you. STICK TO THE EATING PLAN Okay! (Even over Christmas - just remember why you did this and keep in mind that all those Christmas/holiday goodies will be there again next year) You got this! Good luck to you and keep me informed of your progress! Cheers fellow Canadian Heather
  18. Oh and @@heather5565 Jesus Christ with all those ass tools you should be able to pass anything. When I was erupting, I was shocked at what came out of my ass. I don't remember eating some of the stuff I saw. But then again, if a kitten had come out I doubt it would have shocked me. (Although said kitten would require years of intensive therapy to have any chance at a happy life) I would suggest what my PA told me, double doses or Miralax for a couple days, if that does not work, break out the MOM. Senokot is a bulking agent we are not supposed to take until 6+ months out. Don't ask me what a bulking agent is, I just know it's ass related and not on the approved list. I feel that with the impending threat of MOM my ass will stay the course and behave, if not.......... Well, at least it's over pretty quickly.\ Good luck! My bowels have been very very mean to me all week and the WORST this weekend. Apparently all of what I was taking sat and waited until it had a full army to attack the living sh*t out of my tummy and both large and small intestines. (Just for more information, I hadn't gone to the bathroom #2 in a week and I'm 11 weeks post op. I drink plenty of Water, exercise and try and get in some raw veggies. Of course it's hard as the a stomach is the size of an egg and Protein before veggies still at this stage) I've been bullied and beaten. By my own body. Hopefully tomorrow they will see that it's Dreaded Monday and will more nice and understanding. And cut me some slack! I couldn't get sweet pi*s all done today because I had to rush to the bathroom everyone 5 minutes! Note to self: Don't take 2 stool softeners twice a day, 2 fibre pills twice a day, Restoralax once a day, bran buds, 2 Senokot at night, MOM at night and expect to be okay! I was only doing it because thru out the week nothing was happening. But then all of a sudden i was getting crampy and bloated and well, felt Full! BOOM Number 2 showed up! And a Lot of it. Like all night and all day. Ok bum you're being quite annoying with your constant need for attention! Ya big baby! On a good note: tomorrow is my weigh in day.... maybe there will be benefits to such shall I dare say sh*tty weekend!?!?!
  19. Don't run for the hills! You got this! Everything will be great and you will succeed with flying colours. You can take that docs article back to him and prove him wrong We all are trying to do just that! Good luck in your upcoming surgery (whichever one) and keep us updated please! When is it anyways?
  20. Oh ok then I'm sorry too. Haha I guess I misinterpreted your reply. No matter the % - let's kick some butt!
  21. Oh man worst time of year to start the pre op liquids! So sorry to hear that. But....it can be done. And you will do it. Wanna know why? Because this is a great oportunity and you're not gonna screw it up over baked goods or turkey. That stuff will be back at the next holiday. It's only this time you will have to be strong. Although be strong all other times too, but at least you won't be on straight liquids! You didn't mention why you're having the band out. Is it the first step to a band-to-bypass surgery or something? Band-to-sleeve? Or just getting the band out due to issues with it? You got this. You can do it. Just keep having this running thru your head, "it's no big deal. This isn't forever. It's only food. I'd much rather be happier, healthier and no food tastes as good as being fit and thinner feels"
