November 17, 201510 yr Popular Post So I am not in any social media sites like Facebook or twitter. But I am ADDICTED to Bariactric Pal. I can be on it all day. Researchinh, commenting, reading, liking. Does anyone feel the same way?
November 17, 201510 yr Who me? Yep, I'm addicted too, but this is a healthy addiction. I'm sure at some point it will taper off but I don't anticipate that being for well over a year from now. There's too much to learn and share to leave so quickly.
November 17, 201510 yr Popular Post Guilty here too... I spend my work days with this site 'on' in the background... I'm assuming that it's all a matter of where you're up to in your mission... I'm 9 months post-op so I'm still very much lapping up the information... Plus, on the odd occasion, the company in here isn't too bad...
November 17, 201510 yr Popular Post @@KindaFamiliar Fired!! @@LipstickLady It's always you! You had me at hello BP is fun even though when I read that it makes me think blood pressures.
November 17, 201510 yr Popular Post I think it would be an interesting study to compare WLS patients that frequently engage here versus those that attend support groups versus those that don't seek outside support. This site has been has been absolutely vital to my WLS journey, and I know will play a huge role in my long term success.

November 17, 201510 yr Author Hi my name is MimiB and I am a BariatricPal-oholic! Please don't let them make a 12 step program. Do we get a coin or something. Ooh no we have our tools. ????
November 17, 201510 yr Popular Post I think I am addicted too! I am in UK no support groups here where I live in Wales so its Bariatric Pal to the rescue. Some posts make me laugh out loud, others make me want to weep they are so sad. So thanks to all the people who I read about and their messages, far too many to mention individually but please everyone, keep on posting!
November 17, 201510 yr Same as Chris really. We don't have support groups where I liv in Englande, nor much follow up with the team apart from 6 weeks, 3 months and 1 year. They are always there if I need them though, however I chose to read and learn from others in support groups rather than keep contacting them. I was on a lot when I was recovering from surgery and tend to be here (in the background) if I am working from home. I wouldn't say I was addicted though and quite often stay logged in when I am not here because its easier than keep logging in.
