  1. I called my doctor today and they said it sounded like I needed a little unfill, They could not get me in til Tuesday which I am fine with because I can keep food and water down...for the most part. Today has been a little strange, I take one bite and I get that warning feeling that I should not take another. I don't understand how I can get tighter after a fill,(three weeks ago) I thought that when you loss weight the band loosens a little. I guess we continue to learn as we go. Thanks Jack for your input!
  2. From everything I have read on here I thought if I were ever to tight I would know, now I'm not so sure. The symptoms I am having I never associated with the band <DUH me> About three weeks ago I had a major sore throat that lasted for a few days <EVERYONE one had has house my in>then when it went away I had the feeling of something being "stuck" in my throat. I have had head and chest congestion so I thought it could be related to that. I was on the verge of calling my medical doctor for an appt. because it's been three weeks and making me nuts when I read an article on Gerd and how many people experience the same feeling. THIS made me think LAP BAND. Has anyone ever experienced this feeling before? What did you do about it? Could I be to tight? I have not had the slime or pb and I can keep Water and food down. I have not had heartburn until a day or so ago and it seems to be more in the morning then evening. I have an appt with my surgeon next Thursday the 25th. Do you think that is to long to wait? IF this is being to tight it's not what I expected. It's very strange. Thanks so much! Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.

  5. I agree! Call your doctor and stay on liquids! I do find that warm liquids do make me feel better when I am feeling "tight". Good-Luck to you!
  6. Bless your heart < no pun> I am glad your ok!!! I always said that pre-opt diet was gonna kill me but GEEEESH nothing like proving it aye *wink* Glad all is ok!!!! Good-luck to you!
  7. jbflorida I hear ya! I HATE the cold weather but <looking at my arms> I am thinking snow wouldn't be such a bad thing lol <wink>
  8. Don't be in such a hurry. I know it may seem frustrating but those fills will kick in and if you do it to fast you could find yourself in trouble. I have had four fills and the amount is never the same. My last fill was 2/10 of a cc. *That was 2/10 of 1 cc* That may sound like NOTHING but I felt it and it helped...granted that was my fourth fill so I am sure "tweaking" me was his goal. Rushing could cause you to hurt yourself and be miserable! Hang in there...you will get to that "sweet spot" ! Good-luck to you!
  9. My arms <spit> Lawdy my arms <spit> being fat they were large but I am SHOCKED at the condition they are in, at this rate I may get surgery on my arms before my tummy! I knew things would not be pretty as I dropped the weight but Lawdy mercy! ** Boo Boo you look great!

  21. It's a tool not a miracle cure. <shrug> Almost 100 pounds later I can say I don't think the lap band is bull hockey. I can also say that the lap band is not for everyone but I do believe you have to work it....you can not wait for it to work you.
  22. My doctor told me to crumble crackers in my broth. This is something I still do now the day after my fills
  23. shiritaki noodles : I have used them many times before and after my band. I like them pretty well and can find them at my local grocery. I use them many in Soups, I have not made a "plate" of them and used Pasta sauces ( like a spaghetti meal) I say try them if you are curious. Just eat small portions and chew very well, just like you would any food you now eat!
  24. I have never based my decisions on race or gender. I am a very open minded person but I fear many in this country are not. I know a lot of people who have voted in the past strictly on party not issues and I have always felt that was wrong. I am afraid the same will hold here, vote because of race or gender. I don't care if the president < or vp> is a man or woman, black white or green as long as the person voted in does what is best for this country! Ya'll are right, the race is on and either way it will make history!
