Welcome Florida Gator!!!

I am also a gator, and am getting banded today. In fact, I am bringing my stuffed alligator to use as a pillow in the car on the way home.

Best of luck to you, let me know if I can help at all.

It's great...to be...a FLORIDA GATOR!

I too live in Gainesville. I will be banded on Monday the 8th. I cannot wait, I'm not able to think about anything else right now. It was such a big decision for me to make. I will be having the procedure with Dr. Hipp at NFRMC. I look foward to being down to a comfortable weight which I can enjoy doing things that I was able to do when I was younger even at a large size. I just cannot do the things I used to which made this an easier decision in some ways.

Hi Matt. I am having it done at Shands with Dr. Ben-David. I can't wait to get started with it. I had been researching it for about a year and a half. I tried to go thru it all last year but my insurance company shot me down saying I had not proven that I couldn't lose the weight on my own or with a supervised program. So, I worked with my doctor over the last year (with no real success) and this time insurance approved the surgery. Yay!. Anyway, good luck on your surgery and keep in touch.
