I'm 32 months past lapband, lost total,of 90 lbs. Started having coughing problem, seems to be caused by gas fumes coming back into my throat. Some times even thick mucus type fluid also comes up. The only thing I've found to stop the coughing is hot tea. has anyone else had this problem and did you finf out whats causing it?

Sounds like acid reflux.

You should call your doc as it can cause erosion in your esophogus if it isn't treated.

Someone who is already banded and has more experience can probably offer better advice as to what may be causing it.
