I love that topic title. It totally lured me in!
Congratulations on doing so well already. I'm glad you're feeling better so soon. If you're like I was, the head hunger will stick around until you start getting 'real' flavors on the puréed diet. Its funny, before surgery I was actually asking my surgeon if the puréed stage was even necessary, or if I could just do full liquids an extra week then go right to soft. The idea of mushy, liquified meats and veggies was just so unappealing. That attitude changed almost immediately after surgery, and 2 weeks later, I had never been so grateful for cat food-looking mush in my life!

So it just seems like, since pcos is a metabolic disease, it would make sense to do bypass.

I think I like the idea of getting the biggest size at a normal size clothing store and just trying it on periodically until it fits and then I know I can shop there

    So, here's the plan:
The next "schmegma breath" that insults one of us, we grab him from behind, bind their arms and legs.
We cut a huge square area out of the center of his gut. Then we implant the same size of plexiglass into the hole that we just made.
You might ask,"Valentina?, what is the purpose of having a large piece of plexiglass in the center of a man's gut"?
Well, my friends, that is what is called a "plexiotomy". That is made so now whenever this "man" shoves his own head up his *ss, he will be able to see where he's going. (which sounds to me like the loser is going nowhere!!!).

This is why you need to walk around with resting b!tch face. It keeps everyone away, as well as all wrinkles! I've been doing it for years now and it works fabulously! If they don't get the hint with that face, I can easily move to "come closer and I'll slap you into tomorrow" face in the blink of an eye. It truly is a gift.

Katrinakit reacted to Sajijoma in Throwing pottery on a wheel after surgery?
It depends. I could have spun my wheel easily at 4 days out except for the drain hanging out. The biggest concern I would think would be the risk of mud leaking through your clothes and causing a place for infection. If you do throw, definitely wear a waterproof apron to protect your still healing body. The other hard part might be the dredging the clay before you actually start throwing. It takes a bit of effort to work it to get the air out and make it spin able. Maybe you could talk to the teacher of the class and explain you are having/have had surgery and see if they have a suggestion. If nothing else, listen in to the first lesson and gauge from there if it's something you can handle. Remember you are in control of the speed of the wheel in most cases and wetter clay is easier to spin, but harder to maintain shape so it's a balancing act. I personally fine red clay easier to spin than grey, so maybe if there is a choice, stick with the red until you are stronger.

    At this point, don't stress!
Your surgeons office does this all the time and all the time with your insurance.
I would talk to your coordinator and insurance person in your surgeons office tomorrow.
After my paperwork was submitted I called insurance and they said yes they received etc and 1-2 weeks until I would hear about approval. Then she says " your surgery is Feburary 23rd so you will definitely have an answer before then"
I flipped out! My surgery date is early Feb and I have had to have so many things align that it needs to be that day!
Called surgeons office and they said no worries, I'm on for early Feb and once surgery is approved they just call and change date of surgery. Takes a 30 second phone call.
So, although I wasn't aware of this my coordinator was because they deal with my insurance so frequently.
It really sounds like the insurance guy you spoke to really had no idea what he was saying. I have never heard of an approval 6 months prior to surgery.
Oh and (hugs) I totally understand because when I had my issue I almost had a damn panic attack!

Katrinakit got a reaction from B_D in Pre-Op Liquid Diet... Does it get easier?
Today is day 2 for me and I have to be on this a month. I hope I can do it! I'm so tired. I'm not supposed to have caffeine so I am trying to drink extra Water in hopes that it will give me energy and I am putting my Protein powder into Decaf coffee in the mornings so I have a mocha
Luckily, my diet is not as extreme as some. I get 5 Optifast drinks a day and then 1 meal with 3 oz of meat and 1 cup of veges, 1 tsp olive oil, and 1 small fruit. So I am really consuming like 1100-1200 calories per day but it is still really hard for me, especially when I think about the fact that this will last a month. I worked yesterday and today and then will work tomorrow and Tuesday. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing to be working the first few days. On the one hand, I have less time to think about it, on the other hand I am tired and wish I could nap!
    Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone! Well I guess I was in love but he wasn't. He says he feels called to join a monastery and not called to marriage?! Don't know why he was on a dating site lol So I have been pretty heartbroken about it because I have never felt that way before in all of my 38 years. But what are you going to do but move on and focus on other things so I am trying. Glad to hear all of the stories of how it DID work out though!

The last guy I dated, I was with for over a year when I learned he had lied about his name and age and failed to mention that he was a registered sex offender due to multiple felonies involving under aged girls so I really know how to pick them (or maybe they know how to pick me because those are the guys that ask me out!)

I fell in love with a girl the minute I laid eyes on her. Took her a while to come around and start talking to me. We've been best buds for almost 4 years now.
Oh... Did I mention she is my granddaughter?
