I was really bad before I started my pre-op diet! I was feeling this "seperation anxiety" I guess you could call it from all the food I was felt I was going to be giving up. I took about three days and ate everything I wanted, as much as I wanted. The strangest thing happend...I did not binge at all, I guess because the food was not off limits my body and brain got together. Anyway...I do not think there is a thing wrong with what your feeling, have your Cheetoes and be happy!

What a wonderful thing for you daughter! She sets the example for other girls out there! We are really happy for you!

Generaly doubt....means NO! Do not 2nd guess the inner voice that has already given you your answer. I wish you peace and luck.

Hi Sharon, I will be banded by Dr Grossbard on th 26th, he is very near Tampa in a town called Zephyrhills. He was one of the first Dr's in Florida to do the lapand and has a great reputation. He does a cold water fill that lasts forever that he invented. His toll free numbre is 1-877-788-5569 tell them I refered you off of this site. I too will be a September Bandster on 09-26-05! WOOOO HOOO! Cannot not wait! Just trying to get thru the pre- op liquid phase, today is day 5....only 9 more days to go!~

I live here in Orlando..Apopka actualy so we can stay close. I will tell you that Florida Hospital at Celebration does the Lap Band the Dr"s name is Dr Kim. He is with U.S. Barriatrics and is supposed to be very good! I am having to use Dr Grossbard over near Lakeland because he was the closest Dr. that was covered under my insurance. Just take it one step..one day at a time. I started in July and I will be banded the 26th of this month. I have a good GP if you want one closer to you. So sorry about your Dad. I lost my Mom in 2000 and it is still hard. Hang in there gal and before you know it you will be on you way...really!

My surgeon had me do 2 weeks of Atkins..(no problem) and now 2 weeks of Optifast. Problem! I am on day 4 and I will tell you that I had to break down and have a salad and a Lean Pocket because if I did not my pets might not have been safe! Ha! Did anyone else out there have a problem sticking to 2 weeks pre op diet? I feel bad like if I cannot deal with this what am I going to do after surgery? Help!

Only my 2nd day on Optifast and I already blew it. I did not lose it really bad....just a piece of bread with a tiny bit of peanut butter on it! I just got so bloody hungry! I just had to come on and tell someone...confession is supposed to be good for the soul right? ha!

I had this dream date with a guy from "Palm Beach" I had been dying to go out with. So that day I went and had a set of fake nails put on. I go on the date and afterwards we relax on his very expensive couch to have a snifter of brandy, Well I am trying to be all posh, so I decide I will warm my brandy.....so I grab a match..and strike it... all the time we are having a witty conversation..la de da and suddenly his eyes got very big and he became silent with a rather interesting somewhat intense look on his face....I thought he must be ready to kiss me! He leaned in and said.....YOUR HAND IS ON FIRE! My fake fingernails had caught on fire trying to light the stupied brandy! He then used the cushions of his very expensive couch to beat my hand out!! After the smoke and the scent of burning flesh cleared the room he took me to the ER. He said he would call! I wonder why I never heard from him again? HA!!!

Here I am my first day on Optifast and what am I doing? Looking at all the wonderful recipies yummy......maybe NOT the best idea, ya think? HA!

MY prayers are with you! Night time is the hardest time for me too. All I cann tell you is drink until you feel like your gonna POP! Ha! You can do it!

I am a newbie..will be banded 9-26-05 by Dr Grossbard. I live in Orlando and would really like to get to know some of you, perhaps we can go to the Bandster Bash that they hold here. I do not know that much about it , but it sounds like a fun way to meet alot of nice people! So lets chat! Has anyone else used Dr Grossbard, and what did you think?

It was cold and refreshing! Thats right it is the firs day of the rest of our thin and healthy lives!
