Signs when you're full
I guess we all do things differently and if they work for us, then it's good to go. It seems that people are successful and have got to goal, using both measuring cups and scales. It's wonderful that we can all give opinions here but also good that we all do what we find comfortable for ourselves. Informed choice rocks

Skincare help please!
The profile pic was taken last July, I have lost more weight since then and I'm feeling pretty good. My son and daughter in law made me that huge birthday cake which the family scoffed down on my behalf. I ate about 5 blueberries they had put on the top lol. I did have the glass of champagne (No carbs). I had upper and lower eye surgery, extended tummy tuck (with extensive muscle repair) and extended breast lift with nipple repair. It's been a journey and a half but I am finally able to go back to work next week after 11 weeks off. Only half days though hurrahhh. We have booked a holiday for in 6 weeks to Cape Verde and I have bought 3 bikini's. Last wore one of those about 30 years ago. Bring it on!

New and Confused
I would do it all again in a heartbeat. Sometimes I feel a bit of a fake as it has been so easy for me. I am finding it much harder now, eighteen months out. I had no issues with the VSG. No issues with living life to the full with the sleeve. Just wish I had done it earlier.

Skincare help please!

Skincare help please!
I'm in Wiltshire Christina. I had my plastics in January 2017 with the Nuffield here. They were amazing. No complaints at all! Exciting times ahead !

Where are you having the surgery?

Getting cold feet all of a sudden
Its normal! I think everyone thinks about the what ifs, hows and whys before surgery. Especially near to the date of surgery. If you do need more time to decide between the sleeve and bypass, then I am sure your team would be able to support you with your decision, which is a huge one to make. I had one 20 minute 'omg what have I done' on day three when I was still in Hospital after the VSG. The other 18 months have been great. My only regret is not doing it sooner. Be kind to yourself xx Kate

I need help to get back in track
Don't do that beachwalker4rny # I am eating a lot of cabbage right now and well... it's worse than sprouts!

Skincare help please!
I used both and having just had extensive plastic surgery, I can say that Bio Oil felt the 'nicest' to use along the scarring.

Skincare help please!
In addition, Bio Oil is pretty good for skin. Look around at Boots and Superdrug as they tend to have offers on at the start of the spring. Kate

Housecleaning
It's early days, so I would suggest leaving it and just work on getting your body back to normal. If people offer to help, ask them if they don't mind hoovering or doing a little cleaning for you. I am sure people online will answer saying the were hoovering after 2 days, cleaning guttering after 5 and so on so just go by what your team tell you and how you feel yourself. Congratulations on the surgery !! Kate I am sure the house isn't a mess !!

Constpation

I need help to get back in track
Personally I would just go back to eating right rather than liquids. Protein first, low carbs, no drinking after meals, tracking yourself and exercise. You won't have stretched your stomach, you are at the point where you can eat more anyway so it may feel like that but it won't be the case. You know what to do, so start now. Good luck!! Kate

Watermelon
I love this quote, ' most fruit is candy from nature '.

How is you hunger level?
I am about 18 months out now and try to stick to three meals a day and two snacks. I don't have hunger but my body tells me when I need to eat. it's hard to explain as it's just a feeling that I get. Kate

Falling back on old ways!!
I agree with Judy, you need to see a therapist to work through your food issues before thinking about having more surgery. The surgery is just a tool.

Healthy mind healthy heart healthy body
I was told 3-10 years and even then if i was prepped for the surgery and someone 'more deserving' came in, they would take my surgery place. I am in England and that was with the NHS. So I went private. Congratulations MelissaEC !!! You go girl
