I'm so tired.....
I was exhausted for a good 6 weeks.. resting is the best way to help, on top of protein and water. It does go... honest!! Hope you feel better soon ☺

Hello!
I couldn't stomach the ready made shakes and found the powders ones much better and still love them. I'm afraid it can be a bit of trial and error! Congratulations on the surgery date and welcome to the forums

post op liquid phase question
On the full liquid stage, if I was having Soups or yogurts I would wait the 30 minutes for two reasons. I wanted to get into the habit and to make me feel full for longer. If I had a 12oz Protein drink (mine have always been made from powder with water), I still waited 30 minutes. It’s hard to get all your fluids in at the beginning and between the liquids, fluids and Vitamins etc I felt I was on task 18 hours a day or more!! I was just really lucky that I could tolerate drinking a lot within the first week post op. I have stuck to the 30 minute after meals however the only thing I did change for myself, was that I have dropped the 30 minutes BEFORE eating. Now I wait 10-15 minutes and that suits me well. YMMV

Help.....need ideas
Clean your teeth Drink more water/tea/ etc. (whatever is allowed) Look at a photo you hate of yourself at your biggest and visualise being healthy and slimmer and remember why you are doing this. Get a buddy and ask for/give support Remember this too will pass! sleep more Keep busy Clean the house from top to bottom Do all the laundry/prepare for surgery Research post op eating plans, educate yourself why each stage is important including the cleanse Treat yourself to a haircut/nails done Cross each day off the calendar, countdown to surgery day Get some fresh air, walk, visit family and friends. Ask for support and help, we have all been there. You CAN do it

How many carbs do you shoot for?
I have lower carb weekdays and higher carb weekends. Not exactly carb cycling but with that in mind. Usually during the week I am below 25 and weekends below 50. Works for me.

Son jumped on stomach!
Anything anyone says here is not really going to help and the only one who can is your GP, Team or surgeon.

Pre - Op sleeve newbie - Hello! :)
@@inkie I meant the drinks, Vitamins etc etc. I have found it a doddle really. Much easier than expected and still learning day by day about my body and how it needs to be tended to. Then again im very strict with myself and keep to all the 'rules' and will do until I am maintaining. Your Mum is ace!!!

What Are Your Hobbies?
food was never ever a hobby of mine! I love travelling and I am lucky to have at least a good couple of holidays a year. South of France in June this year and Cuba in November. Next year, the only one booked yet is a 3 week ride across Alberta and BC on a bike. Believe me I am NOT looking forward to being on a bike, Canada yes, bike ~ NO. I like to be with family and friends, read, swim, hike, do gardening. I don't have much time for anything else.

What’s Your Worst Post-Op Memory (or Fear)?
1) Being sick especially just after surgery. Didn't happen until week four, when I wanted to increase my meals and added an extra ounce to my 2oz of salmon and then threw it up. Must.Listen.To.My.Sleeve!! Not been sick since. 2) Constipation (can't stand tea anymore). I have always had a problem with BM's, even as a child. My normal routine is twice a week and it's that now but with having to take Duculax the night before. I am hoping that when I can increase my veg and fruits I will be able to give this up.

Pre - Op sleeve newbie - Hello! :)
Hello Inkie, Welcome to the site which is a great way to find out about pre and post op living! Are you having the sleeve via the NHS or going private? This forum is geat for support on the "What can I buy in the UK" as a lot of the products discussed are only avaliabe in the USA. I had my sleeve on 23/7/2015 and its been one of the best things I have ever done. I have also met a few good friends here and we have been very supportive to each other. Nice to meet you!!

Has anyone had a breast lift / breast implants?
I have been told no TT or breast lift until I am at least a year out and have maintained for a while.

"Postponing life until after surgery"
I have done that all my life. "Once I lose 50lbs", "this time next year when I am slim", "if I could only lose *** I can start living life". I haven't really done that with the sleeve. Now I just say 'soon' because it WILL happen, it's not just a pipe dream. Not only is it going to happen, it will stay that way. I have no intention of going back and yes I know people gain, they fail and go back to what they were weight wise but thats not even going to figure in my life. (I am trying positive picturing lol). Best of luck in your journey

Haven't had a felling of fullness
liquid usually goes straight through you, so you won’t get that full feeling. Once you go on to more solid foods, you will certainly feel it! When I had the sleeve, initially I felt that my surgeon hadn’t taken enough away. Had he actually done anything??? Then I had more solids and really knew he had. Give it time, it’ll happen!

Weight stall
The Centrum chewables I take (2 a day) have 70% of Iron in total. Which one's are you taking? Just want to make sure I don't take the ones you do, in the future.

What Is Your Latest NSV?
My latest NSV was when I had to take in the band on my shoes (two holes smaller round my toe area and three holes smaller on the instep). These are shoes I wear every day for work and it was only when my hubby said I was wearing them like lose flip flops, that I tightened them. I was VERY shocked. How can you lose so much on your feet in the space of a few short weeks??!!

SEX
Three weeks and very carefully lol
