  1. Congratulations and best wishes for a speedy recovery! I am sure your Mum will be a great help and your little girl will be fine, no doubt. Gentle hugs Kate
  2. Normal for me. I am 5 weeks out and soups, yogurts, cottage cheese etc go down a lot easier than chicken, fish etc etc. I am still on 2oz of protein and I am usually full after that. It's very rare that I even take one bite of veg.
  3. I have taken a lot of clothes to the charity shop and some to the charity recycling which made me feel as if someone else would at least get the benefit of having them. I had some really decent stuff and like you @@dhrguru I had really mixed feelings when sorting them out to give away. The sales are on at the moment though and I just bought 3 tops and one skirt to get me through the work week until I need smaller clothes. I work from home 2 days a week and usually wear casual clothes then. I have gone from a 24 (USA 20) to an 18 (USA 14) in 7 weeks which is amazing. As its the end of the summer season here, I also bought 5 T shirts and 2 pairs of shorts for my holiday to Cuba at the end of the year. I bought them in a size 14 (USA10). My best friend who I went shopping with is a 14 and offered me her lovely smart summer dresses for the holiday too! An open invitation to raid her wardrobe before I go rather than to pay too much for clothes for a holiday, which I might never wear again. I could have hugged her to bits lol. @@dhrguru Enjoy Black Friday ~ you really deserve it
  4. Clear liquids is soooooo hard isn't it lol.
  5. I am 5 weeks out too and have 2 Protein drinks a day. I try very hard to get the protein in with food but just cannot seem to do that at the moment. I have a Protein Drink mid morning and then leave one until after dinner just in case I do manage it. As for fluids, after the first few days I was able to get more than the recommended amount. Very lucky I guess. In fact I was so shocked at how much I could get in that I thought the surgeon hadn't done a good job. Until I ate my first smooth foods
  6. @@Lexiluv2005 Congratulations and speedy recovery!

  16. I had 4 weeks off even though my surgery and recovery was good. I was tired all the time. My job is quite stressful and busy so didn't want to go back too early then have to go sick again. Went back to work yesterday but worked from home so not that bad. Went into the office today and did a 10 hour day and now I am in my onesie and curled up on the sofa, knackered!
  17. food can stay in your colon and intestinal tract for a while, years even. I know when I did a cleanse years ago, I couldn't believe the gunk that came out and yes, it was black and very tar like. I didn't have this on the pre op liver leansing diet but perhaps you were just disloging stuff that had been there for a while!
  18. I use My Fitness Pal. It has a barcode searcher which is fantastic. Click on the barcode of the product (or type it in) and it comes up with all the nutritional values and stores it in the memory!
  19. I think you need to reread what people have posted.
