  2. Hiya! Fellow Aussie here, holiday sounds wonderful. I've just started the process my self... quite a lengthy process but allows me to get my head around it all. I am hoping for a Dec/Jan surgery date. Good luck for the coming months... are you documenting your journey via a blog or instagram at all? Victoria
  3. Hi Smileygal, I'm based in Melbourne and am starting the process if sleeving. Have had my initial consult, blood tests, ECG and urine test... Meeting with the physician next month and hoping for a surgery date of Dec.Jan. Good luck. Victoria
  4. Hi, I meet with the surgeon next week for the first time. I was just wondering what to expect during this appointment? Moving on from there, what additional tests/appointments will I need to under take before the procedure? Lastly, did you all have an IV drip for the operation it's self? Vic
  5. Thank you so much for your quick responses. It's really helpful as I am quite concerned regarding how much pain I will be in for the first week.
  6. Hi All, I'm curious as to how long you've all had off work or are planning to have off work and what the first 7 days post-op was like for you? I work in an office and have minimal walking/physical activity to do during the day and was hoping to return to work 10 days post-op. I wanted to know peoples thought past experiences?

  10. Hi All, I have my first surgeon appointment on the 9th Sepetember, 2015 - since this appointment has been scheduled, I have found myself binging/going off track. I've been in the mindset that - oh, this wine won't hurt, that extra serve won't make me put on too much etcetc knowing that by the end of the year, I'm planning on having the surgery. Have you experience this? If so, how did you combat it? Thanks all in advance for your help.
