Hair loss prevention
I don't think you can really prevent it, it either happens or doesn't. I found hair thickening shampoo really helped making it look better, that and keeping my hair in a short bob. I did take Biotin and not sure if its worth getting that horse pill down every day but I didn't think it would do any harm to try. My hair is now growing as normal, 15 months out. Having skin surgery January and I bet it falls out again

First bowel movement after sleeve
I used Dulcolax in the end after trying loads of other stuff. Take a pillow and put it over your tummy whilst you are on the loo and try to raise your feet off the floor (a box might help).. I hope you get relief soon

Compression Garment
My garments are being provided by the company I am going with however they did say they would feel really tight. Are you having the TT and thigh lift on the same day? Hope it all goes well for you!!

Weight loss, Skin, and hope for those struggling...
Wow.. amazing !! Congratulations

Salads
Initially (and this is my personal thought) salad isn't the best thing to eat early on only because your stomach is still recovering, will be tiny with the swelling and you need Protein before salad. I eat salad now after 15 months and really enjoy it but there are times that i can't eat much, maybe a couple of bites after I get the protein in, on the plate. Go by what your team says, as I am sure there will be lots of differing thoughts here

How long is recovery after surgery?
I had four weeks off and wish I had taken 6 weeks. Recovery is different for everyone and it also depends on what job you do. Are you sat at a desk or are you on your feet all day? Do you need to lift heavy things? etc etc. I was still exhausted at week five. Just go with what your body tells you. Kate

Protein pudding
If you are so allergic to iodine, it might be a good idea to contact the company to double check. Best to err on the side of caution. I love Protein puddings too. It's like having a treat rather than a meal. Kate

Difficulty transitioning into puree, any advice pls.
You need to speak to your team about this as they are the best people to ask. Perhaps your body isnt ready for pureed foods yet and they will be able to guide you on how to transition to foods. Its a bit of a shock isn't it, feeling that ristriction! However its really early days for you, your stomach is healing so dont overly worry. Keep up with the fluids and Protein drinks and give them a call. Oh and Congratulations

Constipation
Are you drinking lots of water? Are you doing enough walking? I tried numerous stuff which didn't do a thing but then I tried Dulcolax and it really worked for me. Hope you feel better soon ! Kate

Post op necessities?
A comfortable bed and good friends who would collect me in their car and take me out... even just for 30 minutes, then tuck me back into bed again.

Wrong decision?
For most of us every day is better than the day before. You have gone through, not only a huge physical change but also the huge mental aspect of 'all of this'. You CAN do this. Kate
- Seriously?

Pills
I waited for a couple of week, but as far as Vitamin tablets went, I stuck to chewables for 4 months as I had a bad reaction to the tablet ones. I was very sick after getting it stuck so wanted to err on the side of caution. It wasn't a hardship. Kate
