Post op necessities?

A good kitchen food scale. I also recommend a pocket scale, Amazon has some really good ones that are not expensive. The latter really comes in handy when I travel. I carry that around with me everywhere since I go out to eat a lot due to work meetings... Etc.

Don't go crazy stocking up on Protein drinks, shaked, Soups and such. I over bought big time, wasted a lot of money. So much taste gross post op and I moved on to mushy on day 12

A comfortable bed and good friends who would collect me in their car and take me out... even just for 30 minutes, then tuck me back into bed again.

Compression. No one suggested it pre open but I got a compression (tank top style) 3days post op and the incision pain was reduced by half immediately. Almost no pain now as long as I am wearing it.

I find that cups that hold 4 and 6 oz are helpful with Portion Control. It's so easy to "eye ball" yourself into over eating.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
