Help
Put the scales away for a month and even though its really hard don't focus on the weight showing up on the scale. I was a scale freak and ended up having to get my husband to hide it as it was driving me mad ! Keep a couple of outfits out which are a little snug on you and try them on every weekend and see how your body is changing. I had photos taken of myself nude, front, back and sides and every two months had new ones done and boy did I see a change even if the scale wasn't. If you are sticking to the rules, drinking enough Water, weighing everything you eat and moving during the day, it will work. It's disheartening when you see others weight dropping off but we are all so different and what works for one won't for another. Be kind to yourself

2 week liquid diet.
@@_bribri1001 I am 15 months out so it all seems a blur those first few weeks. I just wanted to say that each day is different and you are so very early in the 'game'. The one thing I did do during the liquid stage was not bother with the rule of 6 'meals' a day and stop after 20 minutes. I think I was either drinking Protein or Water non stop from the moment i got up to when i went to sleep. Tiny sips but it worked. Your body has had a hammering, give it time to recover and congratulations !! Keep us updated on how things are going for you Kate p.s. I never feel hungry even now but I know when I need to eat. It's an odd feeling but im grateful for it.

Can't tolerate chewable vitamins
I used Centrum chewables, which you can actually suck to death under your tongue. I found them lovely and a nice treat. I never chewed them!

So Humiliated
@AvaFern such a good heartfelt and supportive post !!! :D

All so overwhelming
Breathe. Relax and Breath again. I had 18 days of 3 or 4 drinks a day. Is it easy? No... but so worth it. I never thought I could do it but I did. See positives rather than negitaves. Repeat a mantra every day ( I CAN do this, I CAN do this ), keep busy and before you know it your surgery day will be here :-) Hugs Kate

Vitamins post op
I take a good multivitamin daily, Calcium with D3 x 3 times a day, and a B12 daily.

Resisting cravings/chewing/looking for distractions.
Drink lots of Water Clean your teeth Go clothes shopping and look at smaller sizes knowing you will be there soon! Call a friend whos supporting you. Come here and vent. Read the forums. Clean the house from top to bottom. Treat yourself to massage/facial/nails or something similar Write a letter to yourself saying why you NEED the surgery Watch lots of WLS topics on youtube. I watched lots of cookery shows but im weird like that

First bowel movement after sleeve
Funny isnt it that some of us openly discuss bowel movements twice in our lives.. after giving birth and after weight loss surgery...

TT & BL on November 21!
@@trekker954 Not silly at all.. do what makes you feel better Kate

Losing yourself literally
On my face, the only change is that I have bags under my eyes, which I have never had before. Along with a TT and BL im having those bags removed in January as they make me look tired... Otherwise, I never had many wrinkles and I don't now.

Constipation
Are you drinking lots of Water? Are you doing enough walking? I tried numerous stuff which didn't do a thing but then I tried Dulcolax and it really worked for me. Hope you feel better soon ! Kate
-
Way better then I thought
Congratulations on the sugery !! If you don't need the pain meds why take them? Just curious.

Sleep
I am a side sleeper and had problems sleeping on my back after the surgery. At 6 weeks i managed to sleep on my side and boy, what a difference. I slept like a baby. Congratulations on the surgery !!

When did you start drinking coffee?
I was always a tea drinker before surgery, the only time I ever had coffee was if we were out for a meal and at the end of it. I couldn't face tea after surgery but did start drinking decaff coffee about 6 months in. I still drink it now, just a few cups a week. Im 15 months out and last week had a cup of tea and enjoyed it. Hurrah

Fun question here, I'm curious!
I have a feeling it was poached eggs. I ate so many at the beginning that I cant face them now

This is it
Congratulations... You have done great so far and im sure you will in the future. Make sure you let us know how you are over the next few weeks !! Speedy recovery
